- Well, here it is. I hope everybody enjoys this, because you all made it happen. I cannot thank my viewers enough for bringing us to this point. You folks are the best!!!!!!!
It was fun hearing Adam West recite famous Batman dialogue from other movies, comics, etc.
When Batman is fighting the Joker in the space station. And he says "You wanna get nuts? Let's get nuts" The line is from the Michael Keaton movie. Adam West saw that movie. He liked Keaton and the technical aspects of the movie. But he didn't like all the explosions and innocent people getting killed. He believed Batman duty is also to protect innocent citizens
Congrats on reaching 1,000!
The one line that I missed from the movie was for burt/Robin to say when leaving the cave, "atomic batteries to power, turbines to speed"
I do like how they used henchmen where made up of the various goon gangs the villains had on the show. Also, gotta love how the clown cops were actually more effective than the actual Gotham PD.
Awesome video btw!
it wasn't until after his passing that I saw some of Adam West's performances on Hollywood Palace. Coming in dressed in the batsuit asking the audience if they had seen some peculiarly dressed people, parodying orange coloured sky....
Some one slipped Batman a Mickey😂
Sorry to add more observations here.....1. the bat ears on Batman's space helmet....hilarious. Very good commentary about the rocket not freaking anybody out. Here's what I don't get about the rocket though....wouldn't seeing it launching help everybody pin point where the Batcave was? I always thought it was under Wayne Manor and far away from the city too, yet this rocket is launching right there among the many skyscrapers???
Don't apologize! Good point about the location: look for the big burn circle and you'll find the batcave!

Just saw this review, and yes, this movie was fantastic, taking me back to the carefree days of the 66 Batman (although I didnt see him til the 70s...) The Whirly-Bats were around before any video game. They were originally in Filmation's 1967 animated Batman series. They looked slightly different, being more reddish-orange with a black Bat. That would be a treat to see you review: the Superman and Batman Filmation cartoons of 66-67. They were repackaged many times over the years and were actually my first introduction to the characters. Also had Aquaman, Flash, Atom, Green Lantern, Hawkman and Teen Titans. Most of the cartoons were short, about 8 minutes, but might be worth a review
Actually, they first appeared in the comics.
Great choice. I picked up the DVD when it came out and being a 1st generation Batman viewer I loved all of the references to the show placed throughout the movie. However, there were also a couple of references to Adam West himself that I liked. One was The Gotham Palace. Adam West made 4 appearances on the ABC variety show Hollywood Palace; one on which he was the host where he sings as well as appears as Batman. ruclips.net/video/4yNzPjPOOfU/видео.html The other one was when they named the host Miranda Monroe. Mr. West also recorded a 45 (for the younger folks, that's a 45 rpm record; a record is my generations version of a CD before CDs) with one of the songs titled "Miranda." ruclips.net/video/zZljPX5DSD8/видео.html . I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. West on several occasions over the years and he was always a gentleman and greeted folks with a smile.
I concur about Penguin's voice. It's too bad they didn't get somebody like Frank Caliendo or another impersonator. Still overall this was very well done, and yes you're so right Irving, hindsight being 20/20, Adam really did sound "old" in this... :'(
Adam's voice has sounded shaky and old for a while. I owned the Batman T.V. series DVD that came around 2014. While checking the interviews and featurette. I noticed that his voice had changed a lot. I dare to say that in the 2002 t.v. film Return To Batcave I could noticed a little bit of change in his voice as well
Anybody else see a reference to Rip Torn?
40:44 Who's the prisoner with the long beard supposed to be? Was he in the show?
