Both the Scorp 2 and Scorp Mini 2 gimbals have so many more features. I didn’t want this video to run for hours trying to show every single thing they can do. More info in the links in the video description box above 🤙📸

Great demo Adrian with these two gimbals, love the earthquake effect! They look both solid equipment and come with apps. Many thanks for sharing the info - have a great day
Those look like quality pieces of kit! Now that I've seen the ZV1 in action using one of the gimbals, this might be something I might be interested in purchasing! Thanks for the great review Adrian! Hope you are doing well mate, have a great week!
Thanks for watching Paul. Yes that Scorp Mini 2 handled the ZV1 with ease. The great thing is you can disengage the stabilization on the ZV1 which as we know gives you a wider frame. Even without the ZV1 connection via blutooth or hard wired the gimbal will still track you as you walk around. Do love modern day tech. Cheers mate and have a great day/night ahead 👍🙏
Earthquake scene - ha ha loved it. Great thorough review, they look amazing and super professional. Recognising hand symbols is just wow. Enjoyed your joy when it could take your heaviest camera. Cool to watch.
WOW Adrian awesome kit, I would probably lean towards the mini, I am sure it would carry my XT30 with ease, amazing features, I never knew such things were possible, thanks as always for sharing.
Thanks Adrian - I had these on my to-buy list and you have helped me make a decision. Good to see an Aussie up there too. Well-presented and very clear explanations mate. I have subscribed in the hope you can help me more and vice-versa. Thanks.
Thanks for this. I just ordered the mini to pair with my A7IV, iPhone 15 and Gopro. Something that would work with all of those things was important to me.
Hi Adrian, great review, buddy! I have to admit, I still don't use a gimbal for my videos 🙂 I think, the main reason was always the extra weight when it comes down to vlogging and then I have an extra tool to carry with me, besides my 2nd tripod, 2nd camera, etc. I'm sure, you know the situation yourself. But I have to say, that kind of "follow me function" is quite impressive. You know, whenever our camera teams are on holiday, we can anyway go out to shoot videos 😆 I didn't find any information about the weight of the gimbals, just how much they can carry. Do you know how heavy they are? Thank you and nice greetings, Christian
Love the review i just puchase this gimbal i was wondering can i use my small rig cage that has arca on this gimbal or do i have to take it out the cage everytime i want to use the gimbal
Amazing video...loved the information. I've a question...i own sony 7rii and sony 24-105 F4 and aony 90 F 2.8. Would you mind telling between these gimbals which gimbal would be fine ... I'm a hobbyist ... Thanks in advance
Hey Adrian, thank you for such a detailed video. The main question I can't find an answer to is- how far away can you be from the gimbal to have reliable follow-me functionality? Cause that would have been very important info, do you have an answer for that? Thanks in advance. Have a great day.
Just letting you know I did a test and got to about 8 meters away before the gimbal couldn’t see my hand gesture to follow me. I was up against a busy backdrop though and maybe with a clear background you might be able to go a bit further.
Hi iam wedding photographer and i use canon EOS R body withu use 50mm & some times 24-105 rf lens ....Which one suitabe for me ? Can you please suggest me...But my thought was scorp mini 2 kit was very usefull for my work ....
Seems like they are almost similarnsizes ... Not looking that dofference is huge? Am i right? Even though one is 700 grams and second 1.2 kg of weight? How you feel it? Is a huge difference and much bigger is scorp 2? And harder to operate? I think of choosin one maybe ;)
It’s hard to tell in video but the mini 2 is definitely smaller and lighter in weight. Not hard to operate and very easy camera balancing. Just make sure you use the type of cameras I mentioned for mini 2
@@adrianalfordphotography I’ve started doing some social media content for my football team and I would be quite far away from the players for the most part, I’m looking for something to keep the camera steady if I’m walking up and down the sideline while recording clips
@@liverpoolfcstephen oh I see. To be honest your arms would be pretty shot lugging that combo up and down a footy field attached to a gimbal. Personally I’d be using a light weight monopod where I could drop the leg and be set up fast to get a steady shot. Something similar to this monopod I reviewed, but you can get lighter Sirui monopods from their range…
@@adrianalfordphotography thank you for the recommendation, can I mount vertically with the monopod? I was also thinking more so along the lines of a gimbal to get shots lower to the ground quickly

haha I didn't mean to be rude. I'm sorry if I offended you in any way. It's not like I see you as obligated to answer, grateful that you take the time to answer.
Can I just screw the scorp 2 with a zv e10 and fe 1.8/35 mm lens on top of a manfrotto or arca swiss plate that i put on my tripod and then activate AI tracking? Should I go for the scorp 2 or the mini? Money is not an issue. I considered the RS3 pro, but it seems you then need raveneye or lidar module. This does not work for me, since raveneye/lidar occupy the hdmi output on the zv e10, which means I cannot stream or capture to PC directly. If the scorp 2 does what I think it does, then I can still stream to pc and have AI tracking simultaneously. Can you confirm this? Alternatives?
You could use either gimbal for that camera/lens combo. Any bigger lenses however I’d lean towards the Scorp 2. Yes you can screw the gimbal into a tripod. You would have seen this in the Scorp Mini 2 AI demo of this video
@@adrianalfordphotography Thank you for the information. I have another question. How can I mount a monitor on this gimbal? I do not see a slot for it like with the dji gimbals, the touchpad is in that location on the Scorp 2?
@@adrianalfordphotography Thanks for checking. I have sent them an email. I will report back when I get an answer from them. I see that the Scorp 2 kit (399 dollars) has arri rosettes, which possibly means I can attach a SmallRig 1684 Dogbone Arri Rosette Arm to it and then have a 1/4 or 3/8 hole on which I can put a monitor with some more attachments.

Hi Adrian, I ordered a Scorp Mini 2 through your amazing reviews and using the code! Many thanks for deep dive into the details for both of them!

Can you use a smartphone as a monitor while you shoot with your camera on the Mini 2?
Which would you suggest for the canon rebel t7? Great video btw subbed!

I’m using a canon r50 with an RF 100-400mm lens, would you suggest going with the Scorp 2 or the Mini?
That’s a huge lens to have on any gimbal. Why would you want a telephoto lens on a gimbal?
