I met the singer when I was 21 yrs old I'm now 57yrs old she was very kind and polite and I was impressed and I'm still pressing and holding on. Glory be to God in the utmost high.
I remember being in the audience during this service with my little tape recorder. I've loved this song every since I first heard it. Beautifully written and arranged by my music mentor, Professor Iris Stevenson!
Another thing is you have to look at eventhough there is still a handful of us that love Choirs there is a lot of people out there that don't like Choirs. Everything is changing
I was thinking about this song and singing it while I was cooking. We used to sing it in the youth choir at Church Of the Living God temple 18. I finally found the right recording.
Aww Look At PRE STARDOM Karen @ 3:12 in the red dress.. And the late Mother Mattie Wiggley (bottom right) @ 3:21.. Man Im seeing SO MANY familiar faces in this choir! These were the days when EVERY choir member used to ANOINTINGLY SIIING on ONE accord! Also my question is HOW COME those microphones of the 70's had SUCH a GREAT pick up range?.. I wish theyd bring them back!... You BETTER SAAAAANG IT BETTEH!!!
I think you can only buy them in Memphis at the COGIC publishing house or bookstore. If you ever go to one of the national meetings, there's usually someone there selling them.
Well thank you so much for that negative comment. I thought that we in the body of Christ are supposed to be lifting one another up they're all in the same family of Jesus Christ. And there are different styles of singing some for the Baptist some for the Methodist son for the coaches but it's all to the glory of God. So no negative comments please

Truly a COGIC history moment! Beautiful song written by the Great Professor Iris Stevenson! Lord take us back.
The sound of COGIC that seems to have disappeared......
it's long gone
Sadly it does seem that way. :-(
Hervin Balfour That's what happens when you put your people in place instead of who needs to be there.

If they stayed saved and sanctified we wouldn't have this problem. Amen. @@misterjgl
Bettye Nelson is just an awesome singer and musician
Another masterpiece by that phenomenal musical Maestro, the great Professor Iris Stevenson. With that classic, unmistakably COGIC sound.

Bryun Gray that’s not pre stardom. That’s the 80’s they were very famous then.
I second that regarding the microphone comment
This song was written by Prof. Iris Stevenson.
This song brings back memeories we used to sing this at our church in at Gethsemane Temple Church of God in Christ in Albion, Michigan

6:47 - 7:32 Wizard and I ending be like
That is Karen in the red. I wonder why she didn't have on a robe like the others. But then Karen is always dressing different than the others.
who peeped baby Karen on the First row
I've heard her on several songs but she can ruin the spirit with her screaming.
Quit hating
@mrtheoneandonly83 ok son be a fool m out
I wish someone would have stopped that tenor sax from encroaching and totally destroying this song and the lead.
She needs the Baptist to teach her how to use her voice cause cogic has no cool style it's just loud and beat the drums as loud
