I believe that the father, drafted into the army, decided to write his daughter a letter for every one of her birthdays so that if he dies at war he will still be there with her to congratulate her birthday. Thats why there is so many letters in the binding. He died at war and his daughter, too heartbroken to read his letters, left it until she was older to finally read them. Her dancing at the end represents his father being there with her, as he taught her the dance.

It's so cool to see a band that uses dancing and music together, and then putting deeper meaning and emotion behind it. I just fund this band a couple weeks ago but every single song they have put out so far is amazing!!!
Very few modern bands impress me as much as Half Alive. Every time they surpass themselves and surprise their audience with beautiful music, meaningful lyrics and stunning visuals.But I think the thing I appreciate the most is that their music and videos are so pure and don't rely on the typical stuff that "sells' music like lots of girls or violence. It is even fun to think that they just might be a band future generations will consider a classic band, like Boston or Pink Floyd are considered today.

Every time i see this video it makes me cry so freaking much
when I listen to this music, I just always cry. I don't know why, maybe just... that "I don't need to runaway" always gives me a feeling like, 'you are not running away, you can just cry, or yeah, you might be running away but you don't have to be scared by doing so'... Listened this first three years ago, and still I always run away from things and come back to here... realizing I wasn't a loser running away. cuz... I don't need to. right?

Very few modern bands impress me as much as Half Alive. Every time they surpass themselves and surprise their audience with beautiful music, meaningful lyrics and stunning visuals.But I think the thing I appreciate the most is that their music and videos are so pure and don't rely on the typical stuff that "sells' music like lots of girls or violence. It is even fun to think that they just might be a band future generations will consider a classic band, like Boston or Pink Floyd are considered today.
