I’ve had a similar experience in an old apartment I used to live in. You would get this feeling of being watched or not alone all the time you were in there
i was too and then i learned that it's assumed by the SCP writers that not all SCP anomalies exist in the same universe. there's different universes with different SCPs. probably only the most famous SCPs, like 173, 682, 999, 2000, and so on exist in all SCP universes. it basically allows you to create your own head canon on which SCPs are in the same universe or not.

They aren't great at preventing total destruction of the human race, the planet, or the entire universe, but by gummit do they maintain normalcy!
I love those anomalous effect one can relate in their everyday life, way more than big monsters. Someone once said in a comment, to be a really engaging dangerous Keter class SCP, it has to answer to 2 very important questions : -Why hasn't it take over the world ? -Why should you feel concerned nonetheless ? This one answers both, and the fact it can relate to everybody makes it so freaky I love it.

I'd love If the Doctor made a video on SCP 1762. It's among the more well-known SCP's I believe,which would be contrary to the channel's practice of talking about lesser known SCP's,but it's also one of these rare instances of a non-threatening,wholesome and also tragic SCP.

This one is especially good because I have experienced this twice, so it's really believable. I wasn't able to fall asleep until after the feeling that something from the shadows was watching me had passed. Until then all I could do was huddle in my bad with all the room's lights on. I wasn't alone either time, but there's no way I was waking up my parents or grandparents, let alone go through a dark house to get to them, just because I was scared.

Part of my reaction was because I lived right near a prison on the outskirts of town which had semi-regular breakouts (well at least 5 over the years I was growing up there but any were too much) and near a Bikie gang head-quarters which had a major shootout. I live in ruralish Australia so that kinda thing wasn't the norm in our part of the country so I wasn't socialised to expect it, oh and we had an urban legend I sort of believed well into adulthood of a serial killer lurking in our primary school

Reminds me of an incident some years ago when I was sharing a house with my father. We lived in an old farmhouse I have bought were he lived in the right wing and I lived in the left wing of the house it was connected by a long corridor with a window in it. it was always turn off normally at night because we usually just stayed in each wing. One night was going to my fathers wing because I needed to use the kitchen ( which was in his wing). I was slowly going down the corridor and almost at the end of it were the door was.... I heard a low primal growl that turn my spine cold and shivers across my body. I felt if I was to turn around I would have not lived to tell about it. so I step forward and slammed the lighting ON and turn around in a whirl. There was nothing .... nothing at all and the feeling disappeared as soon as the light was on... Then I hear a similar sound again...... it was my father snoring very loudly ..... I broke down and started laughing very loud over my silliness 😅 Nothing similar have ever happen in the house not before or similar.

I assume the use of any calming substance or anomaly would only trigger an even more intense cycle of avoidance and the entity would feed off of this and the temporary relief. Just like it’s non anomalous counterpart of paranoid disorders, psychotic disorders, and psychosis. It feels just like this, and the chasing of any kind of relief is even worse. I presume any person would refuse to take the jacket off, knowing what fear they’ll experience once they do, and in the end a fate worse than death.
See, the reason this one would be ineffective on me is because I listen to The Magnus Archives and the unexplained sensation of being watched when I'm alone leads to a one finger salute to "Jon"
