The only thing I know that as a fan, I'm angry and upset my team sucks year after year. Take a page from the Bengals ownership and INVEST in the Reds. The reds were the very first major league baseball team over 120 years ago, CMON MAN, make us proud again

Bumped into Phil shopping at Dollar Tree a couple weeks ago he told me the prices were still too damn high.

He's traded away several of the players that kept us in the race last year even with the lousy bullpen. We'll be lucky to finish over 500.

Yeah don’t even expect .300 this year. We’re screwed.

@@yup_its_adam_again1848 The Reds have four wins, the same number the 1962 Mets had on May 7.

If Castellini cared about the fans he would not sell away the teams chance of being a winner. His love extends no further than a dollar.

Seats will be empty Phil, until you prove to Reds fans that you want to win and be competitive.

Phil Castellini apologizes to Reds fans and regrets the comments that he made earlier today, as there’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and it will be a home run, and so that will make it a 4-0 ballgame. I don’t know if I’ll ever put on this headset, again.

Actions speak louder than words and based on the actions Reds fans continue to see, the initial smug irresponsible comments made by Phil, and not some half a$$ apology is the absolute truth as far as what they think of the Reds and the fans. In six games they are already below .500 including winless at home. If there was more interesting things to do in this crap hole known as the Queen City people might be intelligent enough to not go downtown, fight traffic, get ripped off, just to see this business venture parading itself as a baseball team. Common sense exists sparsely in this city and if you are there for the taking and willing to get taken the Reds will accommodate you at any home game.

There will always be some fans, but honestly, after a decade or two of really poor performances, there is little room for benefit of the doubt here. An owner who makes such comments can more easily be forgiven when the team has had a far better long term record.

Reds reps need to delete saying small market/large from their discussions with the public. We know the size of the market and it didn't suddenly grow overnight. Small market teams can be successful.. examples Brewers, Tampa Bay, Cards, etc.. Large market teams can lack success, eg. Mets, Phillies. Atlanta isn't a huge market and they were the champs. Just be honest and tell us this is what we are spending. That's what you are going to do anyway. Generally people don't like excuses... just own it. If you want to own an average team, fine... just don't expect fans to fill the stadium every day.
