VAUDE Unisex AM Moab Mid Winter STX Cycling Shoe. i got these a size up so i can wear thick socks , waterproof, primaloft insulation , flat sole for normal pedals and look great too. been out in -5 degrees and feet are toasty warm. only negative is they’re a bit thick around the ankle so getting tight cuffed bottoms over them is hard if there not to stretchy.
@Andy Ah thanks Andy. It can be depressing puttin in so much effort with no reward, I will keep my chin up, maybe one day channel will grow. Thanks for your support.

I bought a pair and used them on a soaking bog above Pateley Bridge - water over them and totally dry and warm feet. They are comfy, excellent grip and are properly waterproof. At last a flat shoe that does the trick
Will be interesting to see how these hold up over time. My last pair of 5:10’s didn’t last 6 months. But the lure of gortex to keep toes warm and dry is very tempting!

Defo agree with u mate.. look smart and seem to do the job.great review.. . may get some for next year as not had my current ones long so need to get some wear out of these first..
Got these first week they came out I used to ride in wellies in winter 😂 feet were dry tho these are 100% value for dry feet at the end of a Sundays ripping in the mud and wet 🤟🏻
Not ridden mine yet as they are a half size too small and squash my toes. I’ve since seen others sites suggest ordering a half size bigger than your usual size 😢 Moans so far. They are the only viable water proof product for us…Both these and the previous model are difficult to get on and off. Even with the tab open on these. Partly due to vacuum as they hug the ankle. Get air in and they are easier. Getting the heal through the opening is a swine. A webbed opening in the laces is common in water proof walking boots I don’t see the need for this battle with these. I’d like to see a wire or cable ratchet type mechanism or Velcro tab instead of laces. But… I can see they are very comfortable well made comfortable water proof should be great, comfortable, but I wonder if the cold of the water will come though the shoe like other water proof boots and gloves ? And did I mention how comfortable these are? Cant wait to get the bigger size. Postal strike anyone? Ps I’ve never had a water proof boot or glove last beyond a year without leaking. Let’s see
How has these held up? Loads of reviews plus comments below that these often only last 5-6 months of frequent use, also 1-2 hours of heavy rain riding water starts to soak through the toes. Been tempted to get some but after the reviews and high price im unsure. Seal Skinz socks seem a better option paired with a regular five ten for under half the price or their trailcross none gtx shoes often around £50 on offer
HI mate, I would say they are water resistant, and not water proof after 6 months, however i have not recoated them like i do my dirtlej onise. So might be a tad unfair. They are super sticky on the pedals and i have never had a pedal slip. And the seems and soles have not broken yet. I usually wear seal skins socks with them and my feet are always warm even when out in snow.
great boots , but for me not a winter boot at all, below 7 degrees my feet freeze. good for spring/autumn riding but a proper insulated boot is needed for colder conditions
Greetings, I see this review is from 2 years ago, but I'm doing some research on these shoes before I buy. How does the size run? On the Adidas site it says to order one size up. Thanks.
What temps have you worn these in? I’d likely go out in slightly below freezing temps at coldest, hoping these with warm socks would keep me toasty enough.
@@BOTG_Adventures ok I just ordered these trailcross Gtx because of your video. Adidas/ five ten should give you commission on shoes sold because of your video. I really hope these keep my feet warm as I do ride all winter long. Usually around 35 degrees and above with very little to no wind.
@@BOTG_Adventures glad I took your advice. My Gtx came 3 days early😄 size 9 . And even with heavy winter sock they feel great. And they do run a drop big. Don’t know why some people say the run small. I have 3 other pairs of five tens all size 9 and fit perfect. And even with them running a drop long they do run very narrow compared to regular 5 10s . But they seem very comfortable. Can’t wait to ride with them next week.
@@BOTG_Adventures Found a 30% code. Only thing is when you view the shoes it says menu/womens/shoes I used chat to ask and just got some twat who just looked at the same page as me and agreed they were women's! Are they mens or women's?
I've had mine 2 months now, the grip is great, great comfort, however they fill with water on every wet ride, Ingress of water comes down your leg or via the front from water spray, I've tried trousers covering the tops to no avail, once they are full of water they can't drain, so you end up feeling you've got lead feet!
Why would you review a waterproof shoe while wearing a waterproof sock? No dip your feet were bone dry... But you can't attribute that to the shoe for certain.

Your shoes are still one of my favourites. Love em. But I get cold feet.
Had mine 18 months, no issues with them so far.
Also got a dirtsuit but not worn it yet.
I tested both in the Peaks.. great combo...AND as you saw in video you can loop the bottom of the suit into the shoe.

People saying they couldn't put them on, ya had any issues?
@@BOTG_Adventures no mate they are brilliant. But I wouldn’t be walking or riding up to my knees or shins.
I shall see! Mine are arriving soon!
Love em.

Shimano MW5 if you prefer clipless, lasted years and kept my feet warm and dry over many Perak District winters. No laces, velcro straps that last
Great video ! Fiveten is the best ;)
Thanks Glad you liked it? are you a new sub?
Brilliant video mate I've got the non goretex version of these and are really good they're a bugger to get on though as they don't have a velcro strap
Ah yes I can imagine, hard to get off when wet as well.
The 510’s look great, if it wasn’t for my addiction to clip less I would definitely buy some 👍
Clip less? Ya mean clip. Ins? No. Way I tried and kept coming off.. ;)

They still get wet when its pissing it down.
Great video. Question. Can I use for hiking? In wet stones?
might be a bit slippy on wet stones, but for general hiking yes.

I wear with water proof socks from gooutdoors. Feet were well warm. Fact I wear the same for summer as well.
@@BOTG_Adventures I’ll take a look at those, thank you!
How would this shoe be in a mild summer? Do you need two pairs of shoes at this point?
No I will be wearing these all year round. I love my other shoes, but any stream or water and its wet feet time which i hate.
How are they holding up? I have just ordered my pair for £108 from start fitness as i got them price matched
I wear them all the time. The sole seam does appear to be coming off slightly but still waterproof.
@@BOTG_Adventures nice one hopefull i like them
Wonder what you'd spray on them to re coat the rain protection after a few months trail abuse??
Not sure it is a waterproof material inside the boot so it might not need any coatings.
