      @@NeverStopAdventuring it really wasn't terrible. The turn in isn't far from the public launch at Antelope Point boat launch and we stopped at an outcropping along the way that was a bit covered so we had shade for lunch. It took us about 3-4 hours total. Could have been quicker, but we took our time and went pretty far into the canyon. You can see where we put and how we got there in this video if you're interested (ruclips.net/video/56qxayjNe3c/видео.html). You can also rent a boat for the day at the nearby marinas which may also be worth it, but you would have to anchor a bit away from the shore to the slot canyon and wade through mud or somewhat swim in.

    Super impressive video. I’m planning a trip at the end of May. Lone Rock sounds cool as well as the New Wave and Horsehoe Bend. What camera and microphone did you all use to shoot this video. Did you have it on a tripod? There was a shot where the whole family was walking at the New Wave and you all were really far from the camera that’s why I asked lol.

    • @NeverStopAdventuring
      @NeverStopAdventuring  Год назад +1

      Thanks! We've heard Lone Rock is a bit different now that the water levels have dropped so much. We've even seen pictures of people walking all the way out to it now! We shot this with a Sony ZV-1 and its built in mic. For this video we had a small gimbal that eventually stopped working so we just use a mini tripod now instead. Sometimes we'll even just set the camera on a rock 🙂

      @@NeverStopAdventuring I don’t know where I saw it but I heard the same about Lone Rock. That’s a shame, I would have liked to see it with the water present. Thanks for sharing a little bit about the gear you used too!

    I am visiting Page for the first time the first week of May. Two weeks from posting this so I don’t know if I’ll get a response. Here’s the tricky part, I have three border collies with me😳. Will that be a problem considering I want to see the new wave and lake Powell from antelope point? We are from Boulder Colorado where dogs are allowed everywhere but I’m not sure what to expect in AZ. Thanks✌️keep adventuring🥳

    • @NeverStopAdventuring
      @NeverStopAdventuring  2 года назад

      From our experience there we don't recall seeing anything at the New Wave that said no dogs. We didn't see any dogs on that trail, but it certainly seemed like the kind of place you could take them. Online it looks like the whole Glen Canyon Rec area is pretty pet friendly. Hope this is a quick enough response 🙂

    • @BoulderCoTrader
      @BoulderCoTrader 2 года назад +1

      @@NeverStopAdventuring wow, thanks for the quick response and all your great videos! We are very excited for our long overdue vacation. We haven’t adventured outside of of Colorado for two years and have never been to Arizona.

    • @NeverStopAdventuring
      @NeverStopAdventuring  2 года назад

      No problem, and thank you! Page is fantastic, there's SO much to do there. If you have some extra time, Cathedral Wash (we have a video on it too) is about an hour away and the drive will take you over Navajo Bridge on Marble Canyon, with some really stunning views of the Vermillion Cliffs. If I had to chose a state to be stuck in for 2 years, Colorado would be a top contender for sure. We were living in the Denver area before we hit the road full-time. Arizona is pretty great too though! Enjoy!
