- No lineside views today as we were travelling on the train. First of all we see some manoeuvres at Snow Hill station, then at Stratford-upon-Avon and finally back at Birmingham Snow Hill. No tripod today so please excuse any movements. Hope you enjoy.
Excellent John. Well filmed. Interesting to see all the run round movements at Snow Hill. Nice to see her up close too. All the best...Tim.
I traveled on this train about ten years ago John, and you have captured it exactly as I remember it...and all done in the very capable hands of Driver Ray Churchill....wonderful....Bob
Nice footage from the day John. Gives a good flavour of a journey on the SE
Great stuff, all hand-held? Your hands are steadier than mine! Good to see the Ent. Bros. in action with the headboard/lamps. Ray driving - class! Rood - great engine. Great footage.
Nice footage from your trip on the shakey John, hope you had a good day. The Hall put in some very nice performances again, she sounded very nice at Hatton Jnc. Looking forward to the Earl in two weeks. Thanks for sharing - Regards, Sam
Nice one John, I thought you may have taken the opportunity to climb onboard the footplate at Stratford as I did a few weeks ago, thanks for sharing your day out on the Shakespeare, I am looking forward to seeing 5043 working the last one of the season, cheers...Bill
John very enjoyable coverage of your day ! Thought you might of had a day off from the camera but you cant keep a good enthusiast down ! Great sound on the climb up to Snow Hill, always a highlight of the trip for me ! Thanks for sharing, Regards, Liam
Super video and some nice footage of the steam loco on its various movements.
Glad you had an enjoyable day. Allan.
A bit more relaxing than chasing it eh John, I see you had Ray Churchill in charge too.
Surprised you only poked camera outside in the tunnel though, You could have filmed all the 'regulars' along the way :-) Regards,Brian.
Very interesting views at Birm. S.H. I suppose that must be quite unusual in running tender-first for a fair distance?
