Isolated and cut off from the city inside a soon-to-be-closed L.A. police station, a group of police officers and convicts must join forces to defend themselves against the gang called Street Thunder, who have taken a blood oath to kill someone trapped inside the precinct.
From John Carpenter (Halloween, The Thing and Prince Of Darkness), Assault On Precinct 13 combines the elements of a classic western and a modern thriller to create a riveting cult classic.

The man is still alive after all this time. What a beautiful thing. I was a kid when I seen this film, now I'm a 41 year old man. Time goes by too fast, and that's the Truth.

Yes, it brings back plenty of good childhood memories when watching this movie.

If by a few years you mean 40, then you would be right. There was a remake ten years ago, but Austin Stoker wasn't in it.

trha2222 ...you must be a youngster. This original movie was released in 1976.
      A John Carpenter direction.
Never could be duplicated, replicated or re-enacted.
      It is a cult classic.

Incredible acting from Austin in this film, he was a central character and played it with inrcedible effect, yet also managing to highlight the vulnerability of the character due to the inexperience he had.

I still rank Assault as one of John Carpenter's best films, well above several of his later big studio projects

Multiracial rebellion against the man. This is what the movie is about and I applaud it.

I wish Mr. Stoker had been part of Carpenter's company of actors and been used in some of his other movies.
