You unlock the Circular Saw and X-ray Glasses by finishing the game on ANY difficulty in under 4 hours, and the Albert pistol unlocks by completing the game on ANY difficulty. We should have went for them in the whole guide, it's because we went Easy > Madhouse, should have done Normal instead of Easy as one of those books comes on Normal doesn't it??
@@Optinooby Yes, I think it's the secrets book that comes from beating normal mode. I actually followed your easy guide to help me beat normal because others have said on forums that having the two defense books makes Madhouse bosses way easier! Thank you so much for all your guides - these are by far the best on youtube as they help the average player.

If you do what optinoob said u didn't need the scrolls specially with mutated jack, I was on his side all the time and didn't get me. He got me at the beginning when I was grabbing stuff but after that he didn't get me at all. I was surprised on how effective was this strategy. U should try it again and see
When I redo this guide once the next gen versions release, I may get the book then just for more options

Quick tip for the final boss on Madhouse, as soon as you gain control run forwards and hold the circular saw as her face is spawning and you'll kill her in seconds and she won't have time to attack you. She has like a 10 or 15 second spawn time that she can still be damaged in. No need to worry about ammo of other weapons that way.

If Jack grabs you out of the car, just cheese him with your circular saw while he's getting into and when he is in the car. I actually found this way to be a bit faster.

Better RNG drops isnt it, if i get something good inside, but you get something bad, then some of my further strategies may not apply because you wont have the neccesary resources to pull it off

Bruh, I tried to die by using the ecirc saw on the final boss....ended pushing to the next sequence. I had only 1 neuro and 1 flame round...ended up beating her. When she picked me up I pointed down on the circular saw and it freed me.

For mutated Marguerite it helps to have the secrets and essence of defense in your inventory. After you saw her - she jumps onto the ceiling then will jump on you pretty quickly. If you’re holding block you will virtually take no damage because of the two defense scrolls! After you block her ceiling attack, she is open for another saw attack - let her have it! Then she’ll run away. Hide behind the blue drum and hit her again with the saw when she walks through looking for you - repeating the same process as before. I found this to be a bit easier.

Just commenting to say, what a great walkthrough! I'm at the barn fight at the moment, but i've no doubt i'll complete it, following your guide. You make it look so easy and also capture mistakes too, so i don't feel bad if i take damage when you don't!

Great guide man. One word of advice for your viewers on the jack fight in the boathouse. If you have the essence of defense and secret of defense you can equip them and block his attacks very easily taking no damage in the process. This was very key for me in the second stage. At first I kept dying here but once I used these items combined with your amazing strategy made it a walk in the park. I didn't need to heal once. Anyways great guide thanks so much it

Hi Optinoob, thanks for these excellent guides! You helped me tremendously to get this platinum done ahead of the Resident Evil 3 release. Hope you don't mind if I add a couple of very small tips for anyone else reading this, because every little bit helps on madhouse.
At around 2:15:00 when you're about to start the testing area, you could actually save some handgun ammo here by using the Glock 17 for shooting the bombs instead. It comes pre-loaded with 10 rounds you won't otherwise use, so if you're short on ammo it might help there as long as you don't reload it.
Also, during the introduction, there's a guaranteed way to do that first axe fight with Mia without taking any damage. Any time you try to escape past her towards the bathroom door, she grabs you and pulls you back into the room. You can endlessly exploit that animation to trivialize the fight. Hit her with the axe once, then run past her to the door just outside. She grabs you, pulls you back in, and you'll have a couple seconds to hit her again and repeat the loop. That way you can save first aid for the more difficult fight upstairs, which can really help since I struggled with that one.
Anyway, hope that helps someone out there. Thanks again for these great guides, you earned a sub from me

With the Marguerite fight I found if she starts crawling towards you duck slightly out of view behind the blue chem drum. And she can't get a hit on you and goes slightly further into that back room so you can just go nuts with the saw on her.
After talking with you the other day I decided to have a go a madhouse. I followed your advice and everything was fine. However, there was just one bit that I had to restart 64 times! It took me from 4pm til midnight to complete the jack boss fight lol I dunno y i found it so hard. I now have these words permanently imprinted into my brain: ZOE, GET UR ASS BACK TO THE HOUSE, I WILL DEAL WITH U LATER! Haha but I finally done it so thanku 😁

1. Your voice being so calm, clear and inviting really made this a breeze and fun.
2. Things like you saying ;
-''Makes you a man really??'' To lucas's pig throat scene made me snort.
-''I guess shoes are good habitat for plants'' when finding the shoe herb one in the ship quote.
-''You're probably better than me, so you probably didn't do this.'' at the elevator in the ship or some mines moments. I found myself saying ''You think? You didn't see me oversave and just overall always bring one more weapon than you said because of the gamer paranoia of missing out and dying. I did exactly the same and worse.''
These kinds of fun comments you made here and there, I can't name them all, but they made me smile and made the run less sweaty and more casual, more fun and actually helped me feel better and believe in myself more as a ps4 beginner.
3. I legit wouldn't have had the same patience and wouldnt have finished without you by my side being so welcoming, chill and nice. I know it's been years you dropped this, but it helped me now. And I wanted to thank you! I had fun because of you, and I surprised myself in some areas. I started out scared as heck to use the chainsaw on any mob, to being in the ship and kill some before you even mentionned them. I had a good teacher, and I'm glad. :D
4. I am impressed at how you remembered all the nook and crannies, and even when you did mistakes, you owned up to them and rectified them, which also made it so much easier to do this with you. Sure sometimes I had to backtrack because you forgot a tape or two, or something else. But It made it very relatable and as if i was watching a friend play who knew better the game than I did. And that helped immensely in being able to listen to you talk for my runtime. Which ended up like almost three times the runtime you had. I didn't care in how long i managed bc i did all of the other trophies in normal mode. But the madhouse coins one and the mad house ones was the most helpful and i hecking had no problem listening to you for hours about it.
So yeah, I rarely do comment, but since I spent over 6 hours with your commentary, I really really feel like I have to give you kudos and props for making the guide and allowing others to learn with you. Thank you so much and have a nice day!

Just did it, man! Thanks to you as usual! A funny thing I did casually... if u rush to the big face on last boss and swing the circular saw u'll go immediately in second fase, which I managed to resolve with only 4 magnum bullets (I messed up a bit on the fat guys in the cave), 2 neural and 1 fire round... it was intense cause I get the real albert when I was at 1 hit ot die xD

Great and comprehensive guide! I would never have the guts the challenge madhouse if it weren't for your strategies, although I did deviate a bit. I used both secrets and essence of defense and focused on blocking before attacking. Works on most molded aside from crawlers, who have a two-hit attack.
I'm also surprised you didn't go for the assault coin towards the end. Wouldn't dealing more damage make things slightly easier?
I went for it but it actually doesn't do much, you'll save a bullet or two lol
Already got the under 4 hours trophy in the easy run but if I hadn't, I got 3:59'34" lmaooo so I just *barely* would've made it in this one

34:20 this never happened to me, he grabbed me a bunch and i kept holding L1 and ducking, and eventually i just opened up the hatch and went under, never got my leg cut off
The leg cut off thing is like a worse case scenario type of thing, plan for the worse, hope for the best xD
Basically, I could avoid and so could you, but while experimenting, I felt a few players may have trouble with it or just flap about in a panic and loose limbs.
So I wanted to cover my leg rip scene just to show what to do if it happens! I perhaps should have just said this during!!

Amazing guide as usual, everything went very smooth except for that part at 1h58min where i don't know why i always had 1 more molded coming from behind. So the 2 in front as you, but also one more behind attacking me at the same time... I really have no idea why i got that one more but i died 14 times in that part 😢 i have no idea how i managed in the 15th attempt to just run through them with dodging all the attacks and pass. That part was worst than all the bosses put together 😂
I watched the whole guide before attempting my run, gonna watch it again while in my run, just wanted to have an idea of how this guide was and it's the best I've found so far. Already got my glasses, circular saw, Albert, walking shoes, secrets and essence of defense, everything's ready, just gotta gather a little bit more of bravery lol wish me luck, going for that platinum.

@@Optinooby Thanks mate, but I came across a predicament that I'm sure will affect me in the future and I don't have any backup saves (I know I should've redone the section, but sadly I didn't). I'm right before the fight with mutated Jack (the one with a bunch of eyes all over its body) but I wasted A LOT of magnun ammo in the fight with both fat molded in the elevator, by the time I reached there, I had the same ammount of ammo as you, but now I only have 1 bullet, what do you suggest me to do when I come across the other duo of fat molded near the end of the game?
There are other ways with them mate, just improvise, the grenade ammo can work well, I just use magnum as it's more effective

Hi @optinoob its your latest follower again :D Yes, MADHOUSE is done, spoiler = your guide made it easier, as usual. Some enemies made it hard, but not annyoing. Chainsaw is a BIG help, if you miss, just reload save and move on :D
1st boss aka MIA was a little pain, but my solution = shoot 3magazines like you, then hit&run with saw, until she dies VERY EZ :D
Margharite = stock-pile with burner fuel = ez
Jack = waiting game, with both defense items in inv = not that hard
Molded guys = timing is essence, ez when you know how to react
Last 2 fat man molden = nice challenge, but too diff
Last boss = HARD, just kidding, got her on 1st try :D
Anyway, another great guide my man, You made ME look INVICIBLE, just great, as always.
I made a small upgrade to my audio = from Headphones for 30€ to 140€ Razer Kraken V3 HyperSense which is a game-changer? Understatment AF!

I died so many times to Mia when I was getting the PS4 plat until I watched your guide.
4 years later going for the PS5 plat now, absolutely dreading Mia again, remembered this guide and got through it first try. Seriously the best strat out there for her, and I thank you again for your service.

I love infinite ammo but I feel it takes the enjoyment away, I’m no longer scrounging for ammo and sacrificing heals to craft bullets, and instead I’m a walking nuke 😂
Hey guess what? My PlayStation malfunctioned soon after I got it and I had to get it fixed which also wiped all my game data so I lost infinite ammo circular saw and xray glasses.
But i will follow this guide again!
@@Zer0Cares to be fair as long as you have decent game knowledge (how to trigger certain cutscenes quicker, how to beat early game fights quick, key layouts and puzzles etc) then you can skip a bunch of time early game that gives you more time late game and in the mine. You’ll get your progress back soon enough

UPDATE: If for any reason yhall might have used the strong chem fluid like me it's still possible to kill the first 2 fly nest just use your circular saw on one if you take damage just move back after the first nest you will slightly get some health back then go for the second nest auto heal then after she closes the door cut down the spiders but go back in forth so they don't damage you to much so that is alittle tip if you used the red fluid like an idiot like me lol and u only have 1 flame round and use that 1 flame round in the 3rd Fly Nest

in the final gauntlet in the mines before the two fat molded dont go ahead the guide like did, he goes back to save the game and you dont have to worry about messing up. saves you some nerves :)

Just one tip, when your fighting Mia with the chainsaw, just keep your distance, let her do the charge attack and block it. You’ll take no damage and should be able to land at least a headshot or two. Rinse and repeat

Thank you so much. I was thinking that with all the unlockables I would easily get though this without the guide, but still decided to use it. Well, that was my BEST idea for this plat. I was literally destroyed in some places even with the guide. Withour it I might've lost my mind trying to do so.
The thing that I noticed is that sometimes I tok WAY more damage than you, and I think it's because of the fact I'm playing on PS5, and there's a bug that I saw earlier when you take double-damage on 60 FPS. Not sure if that was fixed, but I think that's what happened to me. I was literraly one-shot many times from full hp :D Nevertheless - the guide is REALLY great, so thank you once again!
Pleasure to assist m8, and yea, this game is quite punishing even with a guide, guess when there difficult like this, really allows me to evolve my routing skills ;)
Ive never heard that, im actually hoping to cover this again in some way before 8 drops so i'll see as well. I do know that when u are grabbed, usually you have to press the buttons and rotate the stick which im sure you were ;)
