      @@grandpa5508 nahhh that's what the battery warranty is for....100k miles where Ib live. But... to your point, I did get an extended bumper to bumper warranty to 100k miles.... I'll trade it in long before I get to that point

    Good & nice review well documented !
    Gasoline in car is kept track of for around 3+ months then AUTOMATICALLY go into REFRESH MODE forcing car to use the gasoline mode to a point at least about 6 gallons of new gas refilled then the Refresh Mode can be reset........ A very good way of keeping gas in car NOT being stale ! ** So 6 months no need to buy gas is NOT possible...... I had my 2020 Hybrid Limited since March 2021 & had been going thru 3 times REFRESH cycles already.
    Very happy with it with local shopping & running errands !

    For anyone comparing this to a Sienna hybrid, in brief: Toyota is far more reliable, but the interior is drab and is woefully underpowered if you put anything more than a few people in it + luggage (hybrid 4 banger), and the exterior is... an acquired taste. The Pacifica Phev is far less reliable, but is more capable with its V6 and actual electric range, and has more luxury options. Overtaking power is not even comparable. We have some of the highest gas prices in North America here, and the wait list for a new Sienna pushes 1-2 years. Ended up purchasing a 2 year old Pacifica phev under warranty to keep up with growing family as a result. There have been issues, but thankfully our dealer experince has been much better than some people elsewhere have reported. Coming from Mazda, this van drives so smoothly. The kids and the wife loves it too.

    should have mentioned that $7500 fed tax rebate right away (plus whatever State rebate is available, $2500 in TX for example) so that "11k price increase" over non-hybrid is MUCH less

    Looks wise it is carnival followed by pacifica in a close second (the one in this review looks really good) then honda, then 4th place is empty, then the Toyota sienna in 5th. But the MPG and reputation for reliability make it a must consider.

      this battery issue was only due to the defective LG batteries on 2017 and 2018 Pacificas, it affected other car brands as well not just Chrysler

    The sound system in a Chrysler Pacifica hybrid is a 13 speaker, the normal Pacifica has a 20 speaker. And I do agree it does not sound very good.

    We bought a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Limited S two weeks ago. The engine shut down/stalled while driving on the freeway and the van had a massive electrical malfunction. This happened dozens of times on surface streets as well. Chrysler took the car for a week, couldn’t “recreate” the stall and gave it back to us. The next day, back to stalling. Terrifying to have you car shut off while driving 65 miles per hour on the freeway with your children in it.

      I've had mine for 5 months, so far no issue. I've read somewhere that if reach by certain speed on freeway, the engine will stall, but I have not experienced that yet.

    Meh. If MPG, hence saving money, is the goal with a hybrid, it makes zero sense at that price point. I bought a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan for $3,000 almost 3 years ago, invested about $500 in new break pads, fresh fluids including trans, spark plugs, coils and CO2 sensors. I get 23 MPG in the city in Eco mode and 26 on the highway, about 25 in a mix. Not counting a few features, it is the same vehicle as the new Pacifica. Same ol frame and chassis.
    - New Pacifica: $58,000 - $7,500 tax cut = $ 50,500
    - My Grand Caravan: $3,500
    Difference = $47,000
    The Pacifica gets in average 5 MPG better fuel efficiency. I spend about 100 bucks for fuel every month. With this constellation it would take me over 500 years before a new Pacifica would save me any money.
    If you want to save money, don't buy a new vehicle, let alone one for over 50k. A hybrid for this price is the definition of hypocrisy.

    But pacifica is not Reliable. I had 2018 and exactly in 3.3 yrs it gave transmission issue and lot Of Mechanical issues.
    First 3 yrs are good and then its horrible now. I had to spend more than 20k to fix issues. Now radio and map is not working.

    7500 + 12,000 (1000 a yr ×5) = 19,500 at which time you need to replace the battery from 3 to 5 year life depending on usage. After replacing the battery (3 to 5 yr.) You end up wth a five year old vehicle that cost almost same as if not more than what you paid new. NOT GOOD!

    • @asdadasdasd4594
      @asdadasdasd4594 2 года назад +3

      7500 is the tax cut, money you save! The battery lasts much longer. You have no clue.
