- Runaway Camper Rouser 6x8 walk through / walkaround. This tiny travel trailer is great for minimalist camping. This trailer let's you adventure anywhere outdoors you want to take it!
Do you like Runaway campers, but want the option to stand up? Runaway campers has now made that possible in their very affordable Rouser model.
Loved the review Justin. We love our RangeRunner seeing the country in it. Three years of great service.
Thanks for a great product.
I & my husband are so excited:)
It's a great little trailer with lots of potential!
I'm hoping that they will add the Rouser to their home page....along with available options and prices. I really like this model!
Still missing the roof fan for dry camping
maybe the air conditioner is a reverse fan with it????...maybe???
They don't put in roof vents because it's the first place you get a leak. Any breach of the roof will cause a leak down the road. Battery powered fans should do the trick....
I would not have a roof fan unless I have a roof AC unit. I don't like home ac units
Marcelo Martins
You don't need a roof fan for any of these small "teardrop" trailers. The heat doesn't have enough ceiling space to be trapped in therefore, it excapes out the windows and screen door.
Nice options!
7k, should be fully decked out. It's a great little camper, with a big ole' price tag.
it's not that bad when you compare it to others that are fully decked out for $20k-30k+.
I'm thinking of just getting a 6x8 or 6x10 cargo trailer and just converting it myself.
Cool now make an off road version!!!
I feel it would be way to tall.
I think they actually have one with bigger tires higher up and knobby tires
Henry Meguess That's not the rouser model. That's the 4x8 and 6x8 Venturist.
@@OverlandFlorida
You didn't talk about the standard shelving nor did you mention the optional cubbies.
I happily own this since 2022 and in a few years I've successfully added plumbing, a shower, toilet, sink, and bunk beds with various other add-ons and fixtures. I highly recommend this unit! The space is just big enough to do this sort of thing. Great product!
Thank you for your comment. It sounds like you have quite the build!
I don't see 7k there. Nice little trailer though.
onlychevys Williams I agree
find a 7k stand in camper and compare the prices.
Dangerdan I can find a stand up camper that can fit a queen and still have some room to walk around.
Including the retro-graphics I wouldn't pay more than $2500. That's basically just me giving him a $1000 tip so I don't have to pull out the tools and saw one weekend. I got to give home credit because it's a good business plan. Older folks in Florida have money to burn. Peace
If you think the price is too high then open up your own camper business. These are luxury items nobody has to buy them. If you want to complain about high prices complain about health-care or education costs in the USA. Those are a lot more necessary and are ridiculously expensive.
Nice!
"PLEASE QUICK QUESTION"
THE ,,REBEL ROUSER,, 6X8X6 IS A GREAT TRAILER..IS THERE ANYWAY YOU CAN GET ONE THAT IS 6X10X6..IS THAT POSSIBLE..??.. BY THE WAY I LOVE YOUR TRAILERS..SOMEDAY I WOULD LOVE TO OWN ONE..THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEOS..
I bought a 2023 Rouser. I did get it in my regular barn garage door i took off the wheels and rims and put 8 inch rims on it and rolled into the barn with 1" of head space
I’m glad you were able to make it fit! I hope you enjoy it!
Yauser Yauser, I like that Rouser!
Looks great but the price should be about $4500..........
Well, they are selling as soon as they make them. All about demand.
Been there is a company in Charlotte NC that builds these one like this unit is $3800 they do smaller units also they are between $2500 and $3500
Nu-Wave utility Trailers what is the company’s name please?
@@9jatruth my company name
@@9jatruth ok the company is our camper company you can finish on Facebook under nu-wave trailers and if you need anymore information let me know our email address is groundzero.0188@yahoo.com and the contact is Tony
So its a cargo box with an AC
I wonder what kind of gas milage you get? With that big flat front not to aerodynamic.
It's not bad. It being very lightweight helps a lot.
Looking at these gems again. If my Nissan NV200 could tow, this would be a done deal!
We owned a Runaway years ago. We loved it, but it had leaking issues due to the corner trim that is used.
That seems to be an issue with the old version. The new design has no wood.
@@OverlandFlorida but still leaks wtf!😂🤣
I like it, would love to own one!
Is this camper still made?
I do not believe so.
Here's a link to a possible diy interior layout for the Rouser. www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=33938
Why not go with the std RV ac roof unit?
It would be in the way of the roof rack.
At first I would think it's not worth $7k but I have changed my mind. If I made something like this, starting with a cargo trailer, I could end up spending a little less but coming in at about $5k. But you are having someone to do it for you electric, insulation, lights, windows, a/c, etc. Glad there is something you can stand up in. But where do you buy it?
Where's the bed, kitchen, toilet, awning or roof rack?
I didn't even pay that much for a brand new Interstate 16 x 8 cargo trailer with Line-X on the floor and up the walls 12".
Agreed insaynbcr !
I hate to say it but none of these mini campers and teardrops offer me what I am looking for. They are also quite expensive. So I am strongly considering a cargo trailer conversion to build and insulate exactly what works for me and my needs. I will also save a ton of money and have a rugged hauler, with a cargo trailer too. Yes, my build will take time and sweat equity but the reward will be so worth it in the end. I'll place my air conditioner and solar on the top, as well as an awning & rack. I'll be able to choose the type of tires and an area for a fixed bathroom, as I have to go often. My build will not cost much more than the runaway campers, plus it will be insulated. Too bad for me, but what I am looking for is not out there and I have searched for well over a year.
EJ F well you need one with half a brain that works in a trade and has a license probably has enough mechanical skill and know how to build a shity little trailer like this it's simple construction techniques and if you know anything about RVs you would know that there's some of the cheapest made Hunter crap ever even the good ones
You played yourself when you said cargo trailer haha
Can you get a back door or window? Fantastic roof fan?
I don't believe they are doing those options at this time. But don't hesitate to call.
I love it ! I have seen a rangerunner close up, but it was too short inside for this old man. All I need is a bed on wheels.
This is exactly a bed on wheels!
I wish you would have one of these for nightly rental at your outlet in Herndon PA.
Nice review Justin. Looks like a nice new model.
I wish that there was a furnace. I live in Minnesota.
You can install an electric heater.
Or a diesel heater.
@OverlandFlorida Are there dealers in the North? I have a Subaru Outback, it looks like I could pull it with it. I'malso 6'3", and have been looking for a teardrop that I could somewhat stand up in.
Are you making and selling these currently? I want to buy one. Please answer.
Go to their website. Runawaycampers.com
@@OverlandFlorida - Looks like this model is not on their website yet.
Can this be ordered with the addition of the big wide side opening door in the rear?
why are these not on your web site?
You should develop a 6x10 with a rear ramp door for a dirtbike or two.
A mini toy hauler. That would be great.
I've asked them , they said no.
Box is integral strength and floor and frame will not support the weight.
It is what it is, a box to sleep in and stay dry. Also abled to be pulled by a small car
dan d The small car option is what makes it a great little rig! I am getting one!
Would preder the walk in door in the rear with the ac in back as well.the bed in front puts most the weight in front of axles
I’d like to see some folks post their new rouser videos with their own personal modifications to show what all you can do with one
As soon as I come across them I'll post a video. Thanks for watching.
Overland Florida thanx
Overland Florida Any videos so far? Pics? This is just what I want.
hello do you still have the rouser? it's perfect to tow with my kia sportage
Very nice, i like it 👍🏻
ow salty price but nice trailer
This would be my size
joleen cole That would add $1000 to the price.
Why are the tires and wheels "smaller" than the ones on the Range Runner?
Larry Connelly it just looks better in our opinion with the 13s, with the hight.
Hi Justin, I disagree. The tires should be at least the same size as the smaller campers. The 13s are a disservice to this unit. For those of us in the North, and whom dry camp in the winter, insulation would be a great feature as well.
Were is the runaway for $3500 Ed
7 grand for a glorified harbor freight trailer? With a plain empty box built on it? Plus a Walmart ac. And a window 😂Oh that’s right it’s got mags.
But some people have more money than sense eh? 😂
WOW! What a great addition to your line of campers!
Way cool, I got to look inside when I passed by on my way home from Disney with the family last month Spoke with I think his name was Leon. Need to come back and get me one. Make my neighbors jealous here in Oklahoma.
They are great little trailers.
What makes these trailers sell ? They are bare. No galley no nothing. By the way your bottom shelf is bowed.
The whole point is to have a bare trailer and finish the rest how you want it. That's what keeps costs down and attracts people. The shelf isn't bowed. It's just the camera making it appear that way.
It is bowed. The other one looks straight!
Overland Florida This is awesome! Too many whiners. This is great for women who don’t have tools and sabby. Pleae, are you currently selling these?
I saw someone put just the body in the back of a pickup truck. Do you sell just the bodies?
Yes. You can contact them and arrange that. Runawaycampers.com
Where is the door step jock o ? 2:55
gp johnson that’s a $350 option. Free milk crate is standard.
How much for this unit?
I wish there was a dealer on the west coast! I'm really looking forward to buying one but I'm in idaho. Do they deliver? What's the cost?
Josh Busby send us an email or give us a call, we ship all over all the time. I know it’s not exactly in your back yard but we will soon have a dealer in Sacramento area.
Justin Shives I have family in Sacramento so I could definitely do that. Looking for a new Toyota or jeep 1st, whatevers left over I'll be looking at options 👍
Josh, not sure when this video came out but my friend ordered one with delivery and you guys said no, no can do anymore due to a bunch of new requirements on transporting laws....and price increases after you already told her one price. So you might want to expand on that information about delivery.
Sacramento is only about 80miles from me. Sweet!
@@justinshives6179
What about Oklahoma? I'd love to start my own travel trailer dealership. Just gotta win the lottery. Lol
I want the taller one, I like that
Great info,TANX! 👍 😁
All you guys complaining about price on here maybe you can build your own but some of us cannot!!! Looks good to me at a good price and I have been looking for 2 years.
Deer lease.
I want one,,,, what city are yall in??
Ocala, fl.
I'll give you $4,500 plus tax and reg. for that - as equipped
6,000
It's ugly.
That box doesn't look very roadworthy; small but tall square box on little trailer with 13" tires? Any wind or speed, that will be all over the road.
I want to see how its constructed. If its like a camp trailer, its not even close to being worth the price at all. If its made like a cargo trailer, then its just overpiced.
Cannot find a price on the on this model
Henry Meguess Its at the end of the video. $6,900.
What's the weight for towing purposes?
It's mentioned at the end of the video. I don't remember off the top of my head.
1,225lbs
Come on guys this is 2019 prices are way up. I would like to see if anyone could build and sell this unit for $4500. If you think you can I’ll take two. Start by pricing out the raw materials then add labor, burden, and profit. I think you will see the price is fair, first do the math!!!
I did the math and we can do it we've did it
Did you do it and make 35% profit which is really needed to keep a company moving along?
@@shopart1488 yes and sometimes more we do not have any overhead or any bills we pay for it when we get it are shops paid for and no my parents didn't give it to me I work for I worked in Fleetwood plant in Mooresville North Carolina building RVs and we've been building these small campers for the last 12 years and we also build utility trailers but to answer your question yes we make 35% and sometimes more it's more like 50% profit
@@nu-waveutilitytrailers3308 - "We've did it"... good at math but failed English? I'm interested, so I searched for you on Facebook to see your camping products, but couldn't find Nu-Wave Trailers... where are you hiding?
@@PalmdaleGal you can just comtact me through RUclips or my email address groundzero.0188@yahoo.com or contact me through 704-813-7498 we don't know why you couldn't find it in Facebook
Yep. To pricey. You could build a taller cargo trailer out for less and have the rear doors to help when installing larger fixtures.
Cargo is the way to go if your looking at this. Another option would be to get a short stepvan or bus and do some work on it. 7k would get that.
🧐
What's up with the two M Coupes on small trailers in the background?
very nice but way to expensive for what you are getting, several thousand more for an extra outlet and some high
We have no sales tax in Oregon, you guys are at the other side of country, but I want one. I want off road axle and tires
What's the dry weight?
Dave Smith 1,225lbs
You are not allowed to run an AC on a power strip
Well, they have sold 2000 of these units and not had any issue. I'm sure they are aware and use power strips that are approved.
Are you still making these? I'd love more info. I sent an email.
Pretty cool 😎
No insulation
I assume they charge so much because they know people don't want to camp in cargo trailers.
Ripoff for what little you get.
Look at a weeroll, all aluminum and built like a tank for this price. This unit is way over priced for what it has equipped.
I looked, and Weeroll does not have a standup-height all aluminum model at this price. They do have steel ones though.
How much are they and do you have a rent to owed
marker lights need to be bigger
I think you've got this kind of overpriced that by about a thousand or so looks like about a $4,500 unit to me
Well, they are selling as fast as they make them. Sp i guess they arent too far off on price.
Overland Florida Yeah. I called. 14 in two years.
So, this is going to be a regular production model now? Unlike the wAv?
Yeah... What happened to the wAV???
Does this have insulation?
Didnt see this on thier web pags
I think your z stripe is a copyright issue, that logo is hydro sport boats.
Chris on that z strip I know for a fact that is a copyright issue I'm not telling these people how to operate their business but they need to do something different with that z strip that is a copyright issue when I seen your comment I went back and looked for it and it is a copyright issue thumbs up to you man
Rover rv
Bad design. Who puts an AC unit on the front? Dirt coming into unit, damage of fins and looks terrible. You need to change that to the back.
There's a cover you place on for transportation.
The markup on this camper is insane.
Can't be that bad. People are buying them left and right.
Road dog there is a company in Charlotte NC that builds these and there price is $1000 lower then what they have listed here and the reason is they have a big shop at the back of there property they don't have any overhead
I would fear wood would make it top heavy. I prefer aluminum frame and metal walls.
This trailer is not top heavy by any means! This is the lightest trailer in its class.
6,995.00 decent price I was impressed
Twice the cost for two feet higher.
Road Runner you don’t know how to do math do you ?
Almost there! Now get the design team to add two more feet to the length for the same price. Really it's not that hard! And 13 ft wheels went out with big wheel bikes too.
I would MUCH rather have the bigger wheels. I don't like a camper so close to the ground, plus the tire lasts longer (as well as the bearing).
oooooooooooover price as hell,,
Price?
Peggy Lynn $6,900
Thanks!
Peggy there is a company in Charlotte North Carolina that's building these and their prices are $1,000 or more below what these guy sells them for and the reason is they have a shop behind our house they don't have any overhead whatsoever and if I ain't mistaken they get their supplies the same place we get our trailer parts from it's like having your own Warehouse in your backyard and that's how they can do them so cheap
Nu-Wave utility Trailers So what is the name of the trailer? Thanks. Please answer.
Really?....I have so much more room in a pop-up camper! for less money in reality! Sorry, but that is ridiculous!
Pop-up campers will always have more room for less price than hardshell campers. There is less material used, as much of a pop-up is just tent material.
Man, $7000 bucks for a rolling shed with AC. Is there no one out there that thinks about what the value would be before they design and build a camper!?
You must be living under a rock, if you think $7k is expensive for a trailer, I can give you links for trailers that push $30k giving not much more
Nice. Can you re-do this, shirtless? lol
Too expensive..
This is not a camper, its a box.
Aren't all campers a box ?
@. I'm gonna buy a fridge, keep the box, spray paint it, and then make a video about my new camper.
