    Hey! Nice concise walkthrough of your Venturist. We had a 2016 4x8 Navigator (Cool Camp) and then the very first composite RangeRunner. We really enjoyed our Runaways and made more than a few videos about all of the Runaways - over 2 million views now. Three years ago, we bought an empty Ford Transit and converted it to a beautiful camper. Steve Shives forgave us! : )
    I like the underglow lights - I have done that on several Runaway campers for folks. The wrap is great - what did that cost? Blessings and be safe. We still attend a few rallies and may run into you sometime. Blessings!

I'm curious if the width of the stance of the trailer tires closely matches the stance of the 4Runner? Makes it easier to tow on soft sand beaches. thanks!

    • @outdoorobservations
      @outdoorobservations  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks. Appreciate you watching. No problem for the 4Runner as far as towing. The trailer is wider than the 4 runner stance. Probably by the fender on each side. It hasn’t been an issue for us so far though. Runaway makes a 4x8 venturist as well that’s within the stance of the 4Runner. Not sure if you need the extra space the 6x provides though.

    Do you know off hand which baskets you have on the upper shelf? I'm looking for something to fit on that shelf in our Range Runner. I currently have some up there that don't fit and they're about worn out.
    I like your lower shelf idea too. We have a front - back queen so the lower cubbys wouldn't work for us. We have "wire" shelving up front going from side to side. I bought 2 "3 shelf" kits that were about 22" wide. On the two outer racks I used 2 shelfs then used one to connect them in the middle. It sits just below the AC and is a good place to put junk... too bad it just falls through 🤣🤣

    • @outdoorobservations

      Funny you ask about the baskets. We are actually in the process of trying to find some that are a better fit. These are not deep enough so we have some stuff propped behind them to keep them from sliding around. If we find something that fits well, I’ll share that info.

      @AlFonso-p6p 4 месяца назад +1

      A lot of owners end up selling their runaways because they're too cramped. It's often the most cited reason on a lot of RUclips channels why they sold it.
      Go with the rouser. That extra space goes a long way. You're gonna be on public roads 99% of the time. Off-roading is a little dangerous and there's always a chance you'll get lost or injured doing that. A regular road camper is generally gonna be enough as long as you use common sense.
      Comfort is everything. It's absolutely worth it. Get the rouser! 👍

      It’s been about 4 years ago and I paid around $1500 then. I talked to someone recently with a similar wrap job and they paid $2500. I’m sure it varies depending on the area of the country as well, but I’d plan on somewhere between 2-3k these days.

      Yes. We keep it in our garage at home. I remove the Thule but it just squeezes in with the awning and road shower. I disconnect the garage door opener so I can use a paint roller extension to prop the door up just a bit more to clear the road shower.

      It has held up well. We go off road quite a bit with it, there are a couple of videos on the channel where are off road. No issue with the 4Runner pulling it.
