From Gatlinburg TN to Cherokee NC on Newfound Gap Road.!
Hello , will this fit in a standard garage?
@@OregonSteve Hi. Yes I kept it in a standard garage at my house. It was really close with the road shower but as long as the door was adjusted up high enough, it squeezed in.
@ it’s a very well done trailer
I love the video and the content. I really get into camping videos, but I especially geek out on videos that are Runaway specific. I landed in a Runaway CoolCamp because when I camp, it’s usually solo. But I have always loved the look of the venturist. I love the fact that you guys keep it minimalistic on the inside Because you spend the majority of your time outside, that’s exactly like me. I’m looking forward to seeing your ongoing adventures.
@@RunawayCoolCampAdventures Thanks for the kind words. Appreciate you watching.
Thinking about putting a rooftop tent on one of these for the kids.
im new to your channel, how many gallons of water do you bring per trip? thanks
@@juliuscajilog9371 Thanks for watching. The amount of water varies depending on the trip. Usually we have the road shower storage up on the roof rack filled with 7 gallons and then another 7 in a storage container.
@@outdoorobservations thanks for the heads up...
Really enjoying seeing your adventures, you're living the dream! I live in Alaska and have made the drive back and forth multiple times so safe travels to you!! Hope you love it up here as much as I have! You'll definitely be here for the best months of the year =)
@@hollimariecarter1984 Thanks for watching. We are so excited about Alaska. Great to hear that we picked a good time to visit.
Good video except for the annoying musiv.
That's a nice set up. 😁✌️
@@rogerpedrosa1854 Thanks. Appreciate you watching and leaving a comment.
Just seen the camper stays local. 😂 but when is the new reveal.
@@andrewfinlayson6613 I wish I could tell you, but I don’t know exactly know lol. Hopefully soon!
Best of Luck to Y'all. Gotta live the Dream !
Appreciate that!
I love ❤️ this setup, it's awesome 👌 Thanks for sharing 😊
@@tedsamuels3203 Thanks for watching!
Nice install.
I just came back from a women’s camping meet up at Mill Dam. Love that place!
It’s a beautiful spot.
Can I ask about how much it cost to wrap? Looking at getting one of these and just pricing out the extra features
It’s been about 4 years ago and I paid around $1500 then. I talked to someone recently with a similar wrap job and they paid $2500. I’m sure it varies depending on the area of the country as well, but I’d plan on somewhere between 2-3k these days.
Hi nice video looks amazing do you mind sharing that location i am traveling from central Florida this coming Christmas week much appreciated thanks
This was in blueridge wma
What kind of mileage does the 4Runner get pulling it?
Depends on how heavy my foot is that day, but anywhere from 12.5-13.5.
So you have to go to places that have bathroom facilities?
No, we have a Joolca outdoor shower and a cassette toilet.
Just 1:45 into your video and already think your setup from tow vehicle to trailer is awesome.
@@johneroyale Thanks. Appreciate you watching.
Where did you camp? What is the name of the place in the "North Georgia Creek side Cammping Video "
I love the way you think!
I love ur videos so much
Thanks for watching!
Would love this thinking of it ourselves. Question what about a address for driver's license, doctor etc.
Ellen’s sister bought our old house. It’s our home base when we aren’t traveling out of state.
Would love to do this but what about a address for driver's license, etc.
Wish I could follow along on your Ak trip but I'll be headed that way about the same time. Maybe out paths will cross along the way.
Very nice. Should be an epic year of travel.
Music?
Just found you and subbed, now i have some binge watching to do
@@conniewaite1371 Thanks, appreciate you watching!
enjoyed the video and nice to see you this past weekend - hopefully health will remain good as you start your new adventure!!
Thanks, Tom. Was great to see you guys. Looking forward to visiting again at homecoming.
Wow! How exciting! Steven and I wish you all the best and are looking forward to seeing more of your adventures. Whoever buys your camper is super lucky!!! 🤩
Thanks so much! We are very excited.
Young folk wanna be comfortable too😂
I hear ya. I just remember a time when I could have crawled in a sleeping bag and slept on the tool box and been fine. Try that now and I wouldn’t be able to walk for 3 days lol
Great video Frank and Ellen. I loved the camper updates. We want to install a Max Air Dome Vent next. Wishing you the beast in your newest full time adventures. Can’t wait to catch up. Happy Camping, Ben, Tiffany & Gracie 🌸
@@RunawayAndSeemor3 Great chatting with you guys in Pennsylvania. You will love the dome fan, very worthwhile addition.
Great video. Super cool camper. I'm looking at getting one. It is cool to see how you got storage in the front on the inside. Are those cubbies screwed down to the trailer?
Thanks. Actually the cubbies are not screwed down. They fit so tight that we didn’t need to make holes. I put two on either side and then have to force the middle one in. So tight, they don’t move. It’s been a great little camper, in fact we are in the process of having a new one built.
@outdoorobservations that is awesome. It would hurt my feelings to screw holes into it. That is really cool you are getting another one built. That is a testament to the product
what tire carrier is that one?
Had a local welder modify it fit me. I bought it off eBay, think it was like $250
Thank you!!!

Been real happy with it for the $
Cant wait to see the new one! We met yall at the S.A.V.E. event earlier this year in Starke. We have another camper, but miss overlanding and are in the market for a Runaway. Was re-watching your walkaround video with how you built it out. Curious how much you'd sell it for. We are in NE FL (St. Augustine) and I think yall werent too terribly far
Thanks, we are very excited about the new build. I’m remember having that conversation with y’all about missing the overlanding part of camping. Our new one won’t be ready until the beginning of November and we haven’t decided on pricing for this one yet. It will depend on if we leave most everything on it. As of now I think we will sell it with everything on board except for the Thule box on top. Since we are traveling full time and have sold our home, it will be available at Runaway headquarters just south of Ocala.
@outdoorobservations awesome to know!! We are a few years out from full timing but it is in our plans! Glad yall were able to take the leap.
@@torihemingway1673Thanks so much. We are very excited, especially about Alaska next summer!
Congratulations to you both on your new and very exciting life path. Love your plans to travel and explore the great outdoors across this beautiful continent. Just keep one thing in mind, when she has that☹️ look on her face, that means it’s time to get a nice hotel room for a couple of nights. 😂 Cheers to you both and your exploration.
Thanks. I hear ya on the hotel lol. Fortunately for me, she’s loves this type of travel as much as I do.
Your camper looks great. Nice build out also.

@@pobo6113 Thanks. Appreciate you watching and leaving a comment.
Congratulations!! I spoke with you at Brushy Mountain several months ago and you said you were thinking of making this move.
Thanks so much. I remember chatting, if I recall correctly you have a solar octane 4Runner.

I love the Dometic jug and faucet. One of my all time favorite pieces of gear.
We agree. Wasn’t sure about buying one at first. Ellen’s sister got us the faucet for Christmas. We quickly bought a couple of jugs and use them religiously. Great piece of kit!
Yeah I started with just the faucet first and used that with jugs of water. Then my dad got the full setup for his rig and liked how the jug packed away better so got one myself.
I like that the shovel scoop matches the spare fuel rotopax. I love tiny details like that when checking out another trailer setup!
I wholeheartedly agree the Maxair vent is a wonderful addition to my Rouser!! Enjoying your videos, keep them coming!!😉
Thanks for watching and we’ll keep em coming.
So happy for you both! I can’t wait to see the new videos and follow you along your travels!!
Thanks so much. We appreciate it!
have you already sold your trailer?
@@kathiecollins1042 We have not. Our new one is being built and this one will be available to purchase at Runaway after we pick up the new one. Hopefully at the beginning of November.
Love this! You're inspiring us to get our channel off the ground with all the traveling we're doing too. We need to step up our content! Love seeing you two doing this stuff and your huge plans for the future!
@@ourlittlerunaway1 Thanks for the encouragement. We have been slacking on putting content out, just been so busy. We are really looking forward to exploring this beautiful country especially Alaska next year!
Congratulations on your decision to full time, we did for 5 years and after life events decided to have a base camp. We’re still out there and just camp back from a 2000 mile trip two days ago.
Thanks so much. We are really excited about getting out and exploring. I’m sure you guys had some amazing experiences over that 5 years and it sounds like with a 2k mile trip, you still are. All the best in your future travels.
I can't tell you how often i search for new runaway videos. Theres no one out there making runaway focused content. Cant wait to see what you guys turn this channel into. Congrats!!
Appreciate that. We are very excited about our upcoming adventures. Will do a detailed walk around when we get the new runaway, hopefully late October to early November.
Have you considered a different brand camper ? Have you looked at Hiker Trailers? They can build what you want. We love our Hiker . They say you’re either a Hiker or Runaway fan . I like my hiker interior wood , it’s very beautiful and cabin like , I like the runaway because it comes 6’ wide . Hiker has an awesome fridge box and roof system . They are both awesome campers , just wondered if you considered looking at one . I think the interior wood and the cool accessories sold me on the Hiker. Runaway was a close second.
We did look at hikers and think they are a great camper. I understand what you’re saying about the wood interior, we have friends that have the older wood runaway models and prefer the look of the wood. I liked the idea of an all composite build and the main factor was the runaway factory is 2 hours from our place in Florida vs hiker being in Indiana. We have enjoyed our Runaway and had no issues so that’s why we decided to stick with the brand. Both are great little campers though for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting.
That’s a great fan! Can’t wait to watch your future adventures.
It really does a great job for this size camper. We can’t wait for our future adventures either. So excited about Alaska.
Looks great guys!
@@Alisix8nine Appreciate it.
Can’t wait to see more of you adventures
We are pretty excited to say the least.
Can’t wait to see more videos!!
Well we will have time to work on more now for sure.
Looks like some great upgrades
We have been really pleased with everything added so far.
That fan looks to be a perfect size for the tiny campers. Glad to hear it is working well for you guys, thanks for sharing. Wasn’t aware maxx air had the small one like that.
It has been great. Wish we had installed that and the 12 volt power sooner.
