    I’m sorry but your commentary is too dang funny: “It’s falling apart right here, the windows won’t close, moisture is a huge problem, but I really ain’t got any complaints”. I was rolling!

      Be sure to send it his way. Have very few complaints honestly. Just the caulk is going to come off and the moisture issue. Neither are terrible problems.
      Easy fixes. Thanks :)

    Condensation inside: All campers (and tents) need to be ventilated in cold weather. Breathing alone (but cooking, too) creates moisture. A small vent high and one low (across from each other) will do the trick.

    Runaway no longer uses caulk on their builds. They are constantly improving their product and workmanship. It's my understanding that these rigs also come with a one year warranty. What other company does that?

    Hello Quicker, I'm very very close to buying a Rouser for the simple fact of being able to stand up and getting dressed. It's only going to be my dog and I traveling. Why do you think the smaller rig would work? I would appreciate your answer. Thank you, Tom

    • @NCuffs
      @NCuffs  5 лет назад +1

      If it is going to be just you and your dog, you shouldn't have any problem with it. The only downside is that you're going to be missing out on amenities. You won't have a shower or bathroom. You can always use a Campipotty though. The Rouser and other Runaways are very easy to set up. Just unhook and put the wheel on. Put down the jacks and you're good to go.
      Plus, they're cheap and lightweight. If you're not afraid of roughing it a bit, you'll love it.

    My Subaru Outback can tow 2,700 pounds. This Rouser weights 1,250 pounds. After I put all my crap in it I'm at 1,700 pounds. I want to know if I can skip the air-conditioner? I go North in the summer and South in the winter, a fan and proper bedding keeps me fine. I don't need air.

    • @NCuffs
      @NCuffs  4 года назад +1

      You can try. Would likely need to fill in that gap unless it is customized though. I would say the AC is pretty light though. Not a big unit in the least.

  • @alphareano1002
    @alphareano1002 4 месяца назад

    It gets worse! This was ~$7,000 originally but due to inflation its gone up to almost ~$10,000 as of 2024.
    Plus a $1,000 shipping charge if you purchase it from official Runaway Campers dealerships outside of Florida AND another charge for additional shipping if you order outside of those states as well as your state's tax on top of that to get a real idea of what you're gonna be paying (not including options)
    The current Runaway Camper trailers are all now made out of composite PVC plastic with inner air pockets sandwiched between 2 thin fiberglass panels (one on the inside and one on the outside). PVC is highly toxic to people according to google and the air pockets inside the material give you zero insulation so prepare for incredibly scorching hot summers and ice freezing cold winters in your runaway trailer camping adventures...
    The condensation in cold weather is soo bad that it might as well have a water leak. The walls will literally sweat right through the interior so prepare to forcibly leave your windows down and doors open at night to fight off the water build up...
    During hot mild outdoor temperatures the walls emit toxic cancer causing formaldehyde! It takes an incredibly long time to off-gas according to google at roughly 2 years, generally, to be, "safe to breathe", maybe; if it even does!?
    My Runaway Rouser still smells like hard to breathe in chemicals resulting in nerve spasms that I've never had before and new hard asthma like breathing symptoms...
    They're barely NOW putting in maxx airfan vents as of 2024. This is a start... Finally!!!
    The inner door material is also made out of breakable styrofoam...
    I wasn't expecting a trailer made out of composite fiberglass and pvc plastic to be impenetrable but the door should never be made out of something considerably weaker like styrofoam... Should I even bother locking the styrofoam door anymore???
    $10 bucks says I could punch my way through the door and rob my own personal belongings...
    ...Goodbye Toaster...
    The fabric material on the ceiling is likely not for sound deadening but rather to keep the light from shining through the thin fiberglass roof. Light will literally pass through it without this fabric liner. Pray to GOD that fabric roof liner glue holds up there forever otherwise you're gonna get baked alive in the sun in the not too distant future...
    Aside from these issues it's still relatively cheap compared to other stuff and the lightweight makes it incredibly easy to tow by almost any vehicle imaginable BUT it's definitely NOT recommended due to safety and health hazard issues. DO NOT buy this product! You have been warned!
    "Let the Buyers beware!!!"
    I would have paid extra for this product if it meant it would have been safer to use. The factory materials need to be changed or made safer for the public well being. Safety should come first and standard and not as an afterthought...
    I personally had to pay out of pocket to try and solve these problems myself through trial and error. I wouldn't even recommend this for camping. Truth be told you're probably better off sleeping in a conventional tent/car.

  • @JesusIsaFlatEarther

    Seems to me, buying a cargo trailer would be the way to go if you're going small and cheap. You could save enough money to caulk the entire roof.

    • @NCuffs
      @NCuffs  5 лет назад +1

      Have seen a lot of people with the cargo trailers decked out. Definitely a good choice. We somewhat rushed the decision. No regrets though.

      The cargo trailer IS cheaper, usually under 2k-3K but my only car (budget car) has a towing capacity of only 1500lbs! The Rouser is ideal for weight alone; most recently the model was relisted for 2021 and it weighs 840lbs!!! This is ideal particularly in these incredibly tough economic times where jobs are disappearing like madness... Plus it's something you can stand up in and sleep in comfortably. It's a good investment to either save up for something big without rent or to just get by on very limited options in our country's possible dark age... O.O

    It should be criminal to call this a camper. It’s a box with mats and an ac unit. Spend some time insulating and building a place to sleep. You could put rods to hold clothes and boxes for clothes and sleeping platforms. At least you are off the ground.

    • @ax1634
      @ax1634 3 года назад

      The advantage here is that currently it will only weight 840lbs (being fiberglass) without options! I only have a towing capacity of 1500lbs during hard economic times in my budget 80s toyota. Couldn't do this comfortably without a rouser. It has just enough room to be comfortably livable without all that crap you don't really need such as a sink/table, etc. Whatever you do need you can buy walmart cheap and stick inside pretty easily and get a really good temporary solution from having to liv inside your own car... :P
