Still the best multi use conversion I’ve seen.. even though this video is 6 years old this is the layout il be using, and had to scroll forever to find this video again cuz soo many ppl posting videos about these conversions, but yet I still scroll threw them all to find this one 😊
Thank you so much! That is great to hear. It was a fun build that we used a lot. My wife says I should build another one someday but if I did it would be a 7 by 14 or something like that. Thank you again :)
since my last comment of your build I have seen at least 50 other conversions and your is by far the BEST layout and interior design of anything out there.... WELL DONE Sir!!!
Love it. It's something anyone would be proud to own, even prouder to say you did it yourself. Beautiful!! I think you must have spent a good deal of time planning this. Everything fits just right and no wasted space, pull out the futon and what's stored behind it and you still have full use as a cargo trailer. Excellent job with the color scheme and graphics, you're ready for some glamping. Wishing you many happy memories with your creation, thanks for sharing.
Thank you Wayne! It truly was something very satisfying to build. Took a while and a lot of planning but was a lot of fun. May do another someday.........On a budget of course......LOL
Beautifully and thoughtfully made. Very innovative! And thank you for not ending every sentence like a question! And not using words like "supercool" and "tons of storage". Guess I'm old, but it's " like" "super" annoying? Hah!
Yes! It's so annoying to hear people ending every sentence like a question. It's just plain verbal sloppiness. It does seem to be generational. What an indictment (one of many...) of our failed public education system.
Fancy seeing you here! It's Tammie Parrish Miller from STB's channel! I've been looking into doing something similar to this possibly in a few years. I have a friend who lives on BLM land in Arizona full time in one of these. I'm probably gonna go with a camper but who knows? See ya in the classic rock section!
Nice! My neighbor has done the same thing. He sold his RV and built his. Minor differences, he bought a dual axle trailer with a tip down back door giving them a little deck. Plumbed for LP gas with room for double bottles if wanted. Built in a high efficiency dual power forced air heater and put it where your fridge is and got this trick cooler to use for his fridge/freezer. Built a small stove where you have your coffee maker. Made it so it can be used outside if they want that. Solar, he had the bottom completely water proofed (under sealed). He set up the inside basically the same way you have. His overhead fan is thermostatically controlled. You’ve done a really good job. I like it.
I’d like to see what it looks like with the bed out/down/open. (Don’t know what term fits) I too love the black and white with red accents. It all reminds me of a 50’s theme diner. Thanks for giving us a peek!
Best cargo conversion I've seen So much nicer decor, ambiance whatever they call the feel of it. Like where everything is . Cant get tired of watching it.
I have a 6x10. You gave me some good ideas! Oh, and a magnet fly screen on the door and cross the entire rear cargo doors would work wonders and keep the wife happy. And when the wife's happy,...
Awesome! I like your build. I just purchased a new 6x12 v-nose and this will be my 3rd build. Watching your video inspired a few changes I'm going to make on my build. Thanks so much and safe travels. 🤙🏾🇺🇲💪🏾
Cargo trailer to 50's diner conversion! Really nice. I'd like to do pretty much this same thing but definitely with the shower...which is the part that intimidates me and keeps me from doing it. I've been looking at some of the smaller travel trailers with showers...but I want those back doors for hauling bikes, etc. This is great.
I despise futons, but I really like what you have done in this trailer.. very clean and bless your heart, a toilet!! I hate seeing cute little conversions, then finding out there is nowhere to pee and a girl will have to go find an outhouse! nope not me.
The removable futon is a great idea, as long as it's comfortable. I could see myself wanting to use this trailer to haul furniture and other large items occasionally.
Nice job, I like all aspects of it. The best thing is you can use it to haul if you need to. Got me thinking now, I could take my bike then just roll it out when parked at campground. Cool.
That is such a professional job of transforming it into a camper, a rocking interior. Man I will think about this while I am building my home made camper.
I truly enjoy watching people build these type of trailers into a camper, each one is unique to it's builder but they're always really nice and something I'd love to tow around the country and have some fun with and make some great memories.. Great job on this seriously and I hope that you're still enjoying it now. 🙏🍻
What a great job. So we'll built. I'm a retired carpenter , going to buy a 2 Axel so I can load my Harley. Hope mine looks as good as yours . Thanks ,u put jayco to shame.
Thank you for the great comment! I hope you have as much fun with your build as I did with mine. It's very satisfying once you start making some good progress. Good luck :)
GREAT JOB...!! Very Clean and UN-Cluttered gives is a very warm inviting feel. Reading the comments here, someone wrote; 'colors suck! Otherwise, not bad'..??? I'm not a red person however it doesn't bother me and I would be proud to say I built this without trying to please someone else. Watching so many builds on trailers gives inspiration and new ideas. Thank you and a very blessed and Happy Fourth 23' to you and yours..!!🙏❤
Your trailer looks very nice.... amazing really. The most impressive part of your project is the mini-kitchen. You can wash up, clean up and sit down and relax. I also think it's cool that you managed to create some sort of color scheme from the black and white checkerboard floor, to the black futon, white walls and those cool matching appliances in red and silver. On a more analytical note there are many ways to design or setup a trailer. I have seen one setup like a mobile office, they can be communication hubs, for bugging out or evacuations or for travelling and sleeping. It all depends on what your purpose is. But most are not as stylish as yours is :)
This is a great build. Conservative spending on fans, windows, solar panels, etc. Looks clean & comfy and I like the open back doors rather than the conversions with “garages”. Well done!!!
This one seems durable, both on the inside as well as the outside, more than an expensive commercial one. You had a number of great ideas, including the wastebasket on the door, the removable futon for hauling space, being able to watch the flat screen TV indoors or outdoors, etc.
I just sold my small motorhome and now I miss it. I am almost 70 years old female and did not feel safe towing a car prior to that we had a big truck and 5th wheel. When my husband passed, I could not hook the 5th wheel up and would have to ask friends to do it...no problem on the road, but when I got to wherever I was going, I had to ask someone for help to release the 5th wheel. Your camper is just perfect. Do you happen to know the weight as it is shown and a ball park price? Thanks, Janice
Nicely done man You did excellent all you need to do now is just figure what you need and how much you can live with out and then leave the sticks and bricks behind you have the home on wheels paid for
I have an identical sized trailer, but no windows. My bed is attached to the wall with hinges so it swings up for storage. I have large cabinetry at the front of the trailer with a refrigerator, but no microwave or running interior water. There are plans to deploy a propane fired camp shower. It will be attached on my back doors, so that when the doors are open, a canvas tarp can be situated between them for privacy. Thanks for the inspiration on the interior.
Really nice. Great ideas to add to my list, like the removable futon. I want to be able to dual use the trailer for hauling things as needed, too. Thanks for sharing. Would love to see any updates you have done.
Nice build! Very tastefully done and it looks like you bought a toy hauler from an RV dealer. I hate amateur looking conversions, this is definitely not an amateur looking build. Great work! Beats the hell out of setting up a tent!
AND JUST WHAT IS IT THAT YOU HATE ABOUT AMATEUR LOOKING CONVERSIONS WHEN SOMEONE IS DOING THE BEST THEY CAN WITH WHAT THEY HAVE???? BUT I GUESS THAT ARROGANT ELITISTS NEED TO HAVE A RIGHT TO STEP ON FOLKS ALSO?
Heck I could live in something like that, in California that would be 1,200 a month in rent to live in something like that that's what people pay in just renting a room! Even more that has its own bathroom and sink. Some rooms you have a share bathroom
@@dwightdiller I hear that I've seen some great camper conversions done out of a U-HALL truck that was way cool like stealthy like he could park anywhere and it would look like a common moving van or work van and no one would ever know there was a small home in the back he had the roll up door in the back with the lift that he could use as a porch when the door was rolled up he still had a window and a door even with the back door rolled up
Nice build and I love your interior color as it gives a feeling of happy and energetic while spending time inside.... I made it perfectly clear on my wan build , NO DARK COLORS as all dark colors make it feel like a Gothic museum ..... I like the way you made a room to use the bathroom in and not sitting out in the open..... Privacy is good when having bathroom breaks..... Safe travels and enjoy
Is this a 5x12 trailer? That's what I have and am thinking about doing something similar. I like the bathroom idea- especially glassing it into a shower room. Thanks for all the ideas!
Great build Sir. May I ask how did you do the ceiling, did you insulate the insulation, it's really neat, did you pull the insulation over the beams, or do each one seperate.. thanks.
FYI: I saw this video some time ago and used the solar motion lights on my cargo trailer. I didn't like that I had to use a straight pin to disable the lights every time I travelled at night. I came up what is, to me, a great idea. I opened up the unit and added a waterproof 12v push On-Off switch to the light lead. Now I can just reach up and turn on or off for traveling. PM and I can send a pic.
The ones that I put on did have a button to turn them off when traveling at night. I cannot remember what brand they were. I just kept looking on Amazon for something in the description that said they had an On/Off switch. Safe Travels :)
Great finds and great deals. Was that a picture of your pet squirrel? You've done a awesome build. Love your color scheme, checkerboard floors remind me of the 50's great choice. Enjoy your travels 🇺🇸
Jennifer King .........haha....yes, it is not the most comfortable. We have an air mattress that we put on it most of the time. We store the air mattress and the sleeping bags behind the futon.
, nice job man, work in progress, good thing about doing a camper/conversion like this is you can build it the way you want it. FYI, get urself a screen room tent for outdoor lounging and eating dinner or just watching TV off your back door. I like it actually and I like the graphics you did too, nice job bro.!!!!!!!
This is great. Only thing I would add would be a bug screen for the back doors so you could leave them open and keep the mosquitoes out. Maybe could split it in the middle and use velcro. That way you could pull it back and tie the sides out of the way when not used. Good job with this project!
Your 6x12 is perfect. Like that you can still haul stuff with it too. Makes sense putting the permanent stuff up front. Would like to see the shower when that time has come. You must not be in mosquito country- no screen door.
Quik Wok this is a really lovely build! I really appreciate how minimal and yet efficient it all is. Do you still have the same 2500 watt generator and do you recommend it? What kind is it?
Decent conversion. Very clean. I’d do it slightly differently. I have a nearly identical trailer I store my conversion stuff in right now. First, cargo trailers are too low! Only for highway. So I’m lifting mine and adding a tandem axle at the same time. Should match the high-clearance tow vehicle I plan on getting better. I already added 1100 watts of solar on the roof and one side which is a lot of weight. That’s another reason I’m adding the tandem axle and beefing up the entire trailer. Be careful. These trailers are not built as tough as people think. A travel trailer has a stronger frame actually. My cargo trailer fell into a deep pot hole and bent the weak frame. The welder is adding more steel to the frame and lifting it. If it was a tandem axle from the start the frame would not have bent because one wheel would have been supporting it while the other dropped into the deep pothole. Never go single axle if you can avoid it. I got a deal on the single axle trailer I couldn’t pass up. But the custom welding will be worth it because it will be taller than a stock tandem axle trailer.
What abut having a outdoor shower, get Marine Canvas brass zipper, make the frame put the canvas over it dry it when done, not see through no moisture problems in the trailer.
When I see a converted utility trailer (angled front) I wonder if there's units available with the door installed onto the drivers side angled wall versus the side (or diy to move it)? I always thought that nose, though aerodynamic (kind of), is nearly useless space. ;-)
(1:56) opens the door Its gorgeous. I love the kitchen, love the TV/door setup and love the color scheme. You could easily add a shower if you weren't worried about needing to tow stuff. I would but still its amazing.
this has to be one of the nicest conversions in this size that I've seen! It looks awesome!
Kathy D .......thank you so much Kathy!!
I've watched a lot of these and this is one of the better conversions.
Thank you! I appreciate that.
My jaw dropped as soon as you opened the door !! NIIIICE!!
Linda Ellis ..........thank you Linda
My first comment EVER on a RUclips vidro; AWESOME!
Rosemarie Reynolds ...........thank you so much!!!
Linda Ellis as if see a Nigerian for the first time
As long as you are not talking about when he opened the bathroom door Linda! :D

There is nothing better than the gratification from building something with your own 2 hands. Great build.
Really well done! So cute! Love your colors! I've got to put Harbor Freight and Ebay on my list of places to shop.
Outstanding taste in design, inside and out. Very tidy and excellent assembly. Good choices in appliances. Thanks to you for sharing Brett.
Thank you Sir!

also annoying is hearing where people keep their spoons, dishes, etc. please move on to something we care about.
Kelli I like the way you think
I could definitely see this being a trend. RV's are so expensive, and built so cheap...
Already a trend.
Fancy seeing you here! It's Tammie Parrish Miller from STB's channel! I've been looking into doing something similar to this possibly in a few years. I have a friend who lives on BLM land in Arizona full time in one of these. I'm probably gonna go with a camper but who knows? See ya in the classic rock section!
two beer cookie cutter expensive RVs are the worst! Buildout of a workvan, school bus or a cargo trailer is definitely the way to go!
Are they really cheap?
Maybe only the low cost ones are cheaply made.
This is stunning. I love the entire practicality and ingenuity, right down to the arty red and white and retro theme. Very cool.
Thank you so much :)

You’ve done a really good job. I like it.
Your trailer looks a 100 times better than most the junk that you could buy out in showrooms. This is a work of art. The space is so usable!
This is the nicest and clean looking conversion I have seen yet. Brilliantly done and quite the eye candy as well as functional.
Thank you Sir!!
I’d like to see what it looks like with the bed out/down/open. (Don’t know what term fits) I too love the black and white with red accents. It all reminds me of a 50’s theme diner. Thanks for giving us a peek!
50’s diner theme, as soon As I saw it I thought the same thing.
I like your color scheme. Even your bungee cords match 😄. It really is adorable
Thank you!!
The bed is a matter of taste, but the interior and the paintwork stand out clearly from others! Chapeau, sir, Chapeau!
The Futon in the video was pretty uncomfortable but we upgraded to a more comfortable one.
Best cargo conversion I've seen
So much nicer decor, ambiance whatever they call the feel of it.
Like where everything is .
Cant get tired of watching it.
Thank you Lee!!
I have a 6x10. You gave me some good ideas! Oh, and a magnet fly screen on the door and cross the entire rear cargo doors would work wonders and keep the wife happy. And when the wife's happy,...
Great job. Getting supplies and doing everything yourself is the way to go. Give yourself a pat on the back brother. 👍🏼
Thank you, I appreciate that :)
Impressive, I really like the Hot Rod theme. Looks better than what you can buy at a RV dealer.
Awesome! I like your build. I just purchased a new 6x12 v-nose and this will be my 3rd build. Watching your video inspired a few changes I'm going to make on my build. Thanks so much and safe travels. 🤙🏾🇺🇲💪🏾

i've gotta a trailer similar to yours without the modification,,,since day one of ownership i wanted to do what you've done....great job,man
Nice job, I like all aspects of it. The best thing is you can use it to haul if you need to. Got me thinking now, I could take my bike then just roll it out when parked at campground. Cool.
This is one of the sharpest, minimalist builds I’ve seen. Most have far too much crammed into a small space. Beautiful!👏🏻
That is such a professional job of transforming it into a camper, a rocking interior. Man I will think about this while I am building my home made camper.
Nice job on the conversion, you really touched all the bases with this build. Love the beer sign!!
Jay A. ..........thanks Jay!!
You did a terrific job! All the basics and room to haul stuff. I converted a horse trailer and don't quite have the width you do. Good choice.
Really nice. That is what I want. Love the colors and love the design!. Now I need to go find a trailer and convert one. Thanks for sharing.
I truly enjoy watching people build these type of trailers into a camper, each one is unique to it's builder but they're always really nice and something I'd love to tow around the country and have some fun with and make some great memories.. Compliments! That is one of the cleanest conversions I've seen. Nicely done. I'm really inspired by this.
Frickin beautiful doghouse when the mrs. is upset with you
LOL.....Thank you !!!
Michael Skinner awesome
If you're paying for the house, send HER out!🤣🤣🤣
Mobile man cave.
Yea and the nice thing is u can get far away from her.
This is a great build. I might copy it. I like the lay out. Only thing I might change is to raise up the couch/bed area to make more storage
Good luck :)

you did a great job on your camp trailer, it appears you and your wife will have everything needed for a few days of camping fun. LOOKS GREAT!
Thank you Sir! It works out perfect for us for short getaways :)
Great job! I like how simple and clean it looks. Also you can still use it to haul stuff.
I love to watch these videos and this is the best conversation I've seen and my favourite colours red and black well done.stay safe from Scotland
Even the outside graphics match the inner color scheme.
This is a great build. Conservative spending on fans, windows, solar panels, etc. Looks clean & comfy and I like the open back doors rather than the conversions with “garages”. Well done!!!
Man that is so so beautiful. If I had that thing I will always be traveling and camping. What a beautiful and homey looking trailer. Great job! Enjoy.
Thanks Rock!!
Very clean build. I like the thoughtfulness you put into it.
Young man, you did a great job! I really enjoyed your video! The tape on the sides really set your rig apart. Love the windows and their placement.
You could replace the mirror on the bathroom door with a fold down kitchen counter top for more countertop. Nice and simple with everything one needs!
Really like that idea.
What an excellent build and your sense of style with red, put the cherry on the cake!
This one seems durable, both on the inside as well as the outside, more than an expensive commercial one.
You had a number of great ideas, including the wastebasket on the door, the removable futon for hauling space, being able to watch the flat screen TV indoors or outdoors, etc.
Thank you John, I appreciate that :)

Wow, this is a nice set-up you came up with. Now I feel like making my own. Thanks for sharing. John
Thanks for the comment John!! It really was fun to build.
Wow never seen a cargo trailer converted to a camper. 👍👍 genius! Thanks for the walk thru, getting ideas 💡 for my camper build
Very nice.. The one thing i like about it is that it's not over filled with crap like most commercial RV are. Open space makes it easy to move around.
I had a cabinet shop, and I say for someone who’s not a carpenter you did really good.
You can open a side business custom making these for people.
Who’s they lol
I kinda look at this is a jigsaw puzzle
Put me on the list

Your build looks much better than most of the brand name trailers, which are way over priced.Very nice layout.Great job.
Really nice. Great ideas to add to my list, like the removable futon. I want to be able to dual use the trailer for hauling things as needed, too. Thanks for sharing. Would love to see any updates you have done.
At 4:46; "I'm not a carpenter" you could of fooled us buddy . Great job!
Gino Garza ..........thank you Gino!!
You did a great job on this trailer. I can only see one thing missing and that is screens to keep those pesky little mosquitoes out😁
Nice build! Very tastefully done and it looks like you bought a toy hauler from an RV dealer. I hate amateur looking conversions, this is definitely not an amateur looking build. Great work! Beats the hell out of setting up a tent!

You have one of the best designs I've seen. Especially maximizing all of the space with a bathroom and kitchen side-by-side nice.
YOU REALLY DID A GREAT JOB! IT'S MODERN & CUTE YET MASCULINE. COLOR SELECTION BLENDS SO VERY WELL TOGETHER.
Maybe the best build I’ve seen - totally my style. Nice! Congrats.
And still room for one dirt bike! Love it man, nice job!!
Exactly my thoughts.
Really nice set-up; thanks for sharing!
One of the best conversions I have viewed...wow! Smart design!
That a Pimp conversion ,nice job👍🏾
Is this a 5x12 trailer? That's what I have and am thinking about doing something similar. I like the bathroom idea- especially glassing it into a shower room. Thanks for all the ideas!
Thank you. This is a 6 by 12 trailer
Really nice. Love the colors and your layout.
The most impressive home build I've seen yet. Very impressive
So clean and simple and adorably decked. Well done young man!
Thank you!

Thank you and Greeting to you :)
One of the coolest conversions that I’ve ever seen.
That's just so amazing! My hats off to you! Great job! I've dreamed of doing something like that for years and never did. You did it! Congrats!!!
That looks great! I love the colors and styling. I hope your sink never has a leak with those open electronics though
Into The Mystery ⓭ ....... thank you!! I may have to make some modifications
Great finds and great deals. Was that a picture of your pet squirrel? You've done a awesome build. Love your color scheme, checkerboard floors remind me of the 50's great choice. Enjoy your travels 🇺🇸
Thanks Tamara!! LOL.....No not a pet...haha
Nicely done, Bret! Love the repurposed roof insulation/heat reflectors.
Great alternative to a travel trailer, it's also probably built much better since they use such cheap materials. Love it!
Nice job on your lil" trailer.
I very much like what you have done.
Thank you !!
Bret Pierson how cute...but I have that exact futon and holy crap, it's UNCOMFORTABLE.
Jennifer King .........haha....yes, it is not the most comfortable. We have an air mattress that we put on it most of the time. We store the air mattress and the sleeping bags behind the futon.
Bret Pierson thats a great idea.... i was thinking of doing the same thing.
Dude, pat yourself on the back, good job!
THE PHOENIX .......thank you so much!!
, nice job man, work in progress, good thing about doing a camper/conversion like this is you can build it the way you want it.
Thank you
Your 6x12 is perfect. Like that you can still haul stuff with it too. Makes sense putting the permanent stuff up front. Would like to see the shower when that time has come. You must not be in mosquito country- no screen door.
It's a beautiful conversion! Well done!!!!!
dude great job.. love the posters and the one with the squirrel .. classic..
Quik Wok this is a really lovely build! I really appreciate how minimal and yet efficient it all is. Do you still have the same 2500 watt generator and do you recommend it? What kind is it?
Thank you for sharing this. I would definitely choose this over the egg shaped models I have seen. You did a great job.
Thanks John!
Excellent build. How much do you have in it all in if I can ask?
When I see a converted utility trailer (angled front) I wonder if there's units available with the door installed onto the drivers side angled wall versus the side (or diy to move it)?
I always thought that nose, though aerodynamic (kind of), is nearly useless space. ;-)
(1:56) opens the door
Its gorgeous. I love the kitchen, love the TV/door setup and love the color scheme. You could easily add a shower if you weren't worried about needing to tow stuff. I would but still its amazing.
This is the best craftsmanship I ever saw..
