World's Best Sausage! Smoked Polish Sausage on a Weber Smokey Mountain!

  • Sausage can be tricky to make. Store bought sausage can be made with some questionable cuts of meat. When you make your own sausage, you know what you are putting in it and can control the makeup of the sausage.
    I am a huge fan of Polish Sausage. I may be biased but just the simplicity of the flavors and ingredients makes it my favorite sausage out there by far.
    Like I said, sausage is not easy to make but the result is so worth it. Let me know if you have any questions or comments and I'd be happy to discuss!

    Good video. How long did it take to do a batch on the smoker?

      Glad you enjoyed it! It was on the smoker for a little under 3 hours

    Great video and some good-looking sausages. The only thing I would have done is to put them in an ice bath. Right away after taking them off to stop the cooking process. And to keep the casing from wrinkling up.

      I have seen that done in many videos. That may be something we’ll try the next go around, it was not something that they did in Poland when making sausage though so we kept it as close to that process as possible

    Did you and dad make hooks that held the dowels? It is a great idea for the Weber.

      Yes! I am not entirely sure what type of wire it was but just any stripped slightly thicker gauge wire should work. Thanks!

      You don’t have to put anything you don’t want in your sausage 😀
