Another season over. Bet it went fast for you. Bottom paint looks good and worked well. Good job captain! Cool to see her coming out of the water from the stern!
Hey Bro, thanks for watching and for the comments!! Much appreciated as always!! The bottom paint did seem to work well!! They used 6 jack stands instead of the 4 used last season. Next spring i will be able to paint the 4 spaces the pads from the jackstands covered... Yup 1st time I had to back her into the Haul-Out well....
New sailboat owner here! First time diesel owner too. Bought it on the hard so I’ve never had it in the water. I’m quite nervous about launching it in the spring! I was surprised that you store your boat at the same Bay City marina where mine is spending the winter! If you ever see me at my 28’ Catalina NAVASANA, be sure to say hi.
Thanks for watching and for the comment!! Its much appreciated!! My 1st boat was a Catalina 30' called Fat Cat. She had a 30 hp Diesel in her.. That is interesting that we are at the same Marina... I look forward to meeting u sometime at the Marina!! And if you ever happen to see me there please stop by and say "Hello" as well!! Feel free to Subscribe to my channel.. Thanks again!!!
I was also nervous for the 1st spring launch of Fat Cat... I didn't know what to expect or if the motor would start even though I had her on Lake St Clair for a good part of the summer in 2018. And the motor only had about 500 hours on it.... but it was also quite exhilarating she the motor did dtart and I spent the next 12 hours motoring her from the Gibralter Boat yard up the Detroit River dodging Freighters all night up to lake St Clair and then to Jefferson Beach Marina.. overall it was a peaceful night, weather and the water conditions were anazing!! Episode 2 touched on the 1st winter storage and subsequent spring launch...
@@ketchingmy2ndwindsvchopsticks Between the haul out, the stands and spraying off the algae that is quite a service. Thanks for the insights and fyi’s on a new (to me) and interesting subject with your boating adventures and experience.
@@amoore2165 As always thanks for watching and thanks for the comments!! I do more to explain In the videos for any non-boating people that watch them than previously. That is thanks to a comment you made in the Replacing a Halyard video.
