Ok, for all of those who didn't have the NPC show up at the church, after defeating Godrick, return to the first site of grace where you first met white faced varre (literally the first site of grace after the tutorial). He will congratulate you on defeating Godrick and send you to the great hold. Go there and speak to the priestess or whatever of two fingers and exhaust the dialog then when you visit the first site again he will leave a message saying he's at the church. 😃

If you kill him before completing his questline, the game will lock you out of his quest that leads to the best farming method in the game. You'll need to start a new game if you want to complete his quest"
If anybody is having trouble getting the bird to fall, it DOES matter where you stand. Stand on the site of grace and go almost directly North to the little ledge that juts out a bit, since I did that he has fallen every time.
Epic thank you I was about 70% success prior to this. Was totally annoying. Farmed it just the other day and got 40 levels. Super helpful. Leveled weps to level 14 too.
Too bad doing this quest line locks you out of other eye events like getting glowing yellow dragon eyes since the red eyes from invading other people completely overwrites every other eye color/design event in the game apparently. So you either keep the red or have regular eyes. Not to mention that Varre cuts one of your fingers off and hands it back to you before you the the item that allows you to get to this spot before getting near end game. Guess that's the price of the quick way.
@@WithinandThroughout yeah, part of that scene there, you extend your hand out and your character looks like it's in pain for a second and then you get a finger. Around the same time he tells you to, "remember that agony" before he gives you that item that lets you teleport.
The bird can also have the glowing gold eyes which means killing it will net you 5x runes. Did not have scarab equipped, but with the gold fowl foot, I got 77,000 runes from that kill.
@@odin-i-4592 I fat fingered a 7. The actual number was closer to 67,000 (ish). Unless you're asking how I got that many runes from the kill, I already explained it.
having night time should also affect this amount cause during night all over the game the runes you gain are increased. maybe u got 5x the runes cause it was night at that moment cause normal enemies also have red glowing eyes sometimes if it's night.
This farm is good in patch 1.03. Can confirm. Gained 12 levels in 15 minutes, went from 75 to 87. Had to leave to get golden scarab and more gold fowl feet.
@@jaimybenjamin once you kill patches, you get his bell bearing. If you offer this to the twin maiden husks in round table hold, you can purchase anything that you would have been able to purchase from Patches!
Extra tips. If the guy isn't at the church, go back to the first step fast travel after beating godrick and talk to the guy there and he'll tell you to go talk to the finger lady at the Knights of the round. Then go back to the first step grace and he'll be gone. Now go to the church and he'll be there. If you killed him before this or maybe even just attacked him then you cant do this and can't go there until way later in the game. Also if the bird doesn't go off the ledge, just go rest at the grace to reset everything and try again until he does. Also you can get normal eyes again by going to the cosmetics place in the knights of the round place.

Talk to her and everything then go to the rose church and he’ll be there
28/12/23 here and this trick still works. Just new to the game, spent 8 hours died continuously and only lv13. Then now I can revenge those bastards in Limegrave with ease :D The jumps kinda ez for me. The only problem is fighting Godrick.
Can confirm this still works on PC at the moment. It's even a bit more foolproof if you run further to the right than shown in the video: if you lock on with a bow/crossbow, there's no need for manual aiming at all; you just need to move to a spot that won't have your arrow/bolt hit the tree that the bird is walking behind. Process: travel to site of grace; as soon as you arrive, run pretty close to the weird-looking dudes sitting on the cliff (don't worry, they don't attack); turn left to face the bird, lock on, and shoot; if using a crossbow, reload while the arrow is traveling; stand at the edge of the cliff until you see the bird actually fall off, then run over to the site of grace and repeat. In all, maybe 10 seconds. Because enemies respawn the moment you sit at a site of grace, you want to get up as soon as possible after sitting down because by the time you get back to the cliff face, the bird will still be walking toward you and it'll be easier to lock on and shoot. Also, the cliff the bird runs toward is invisibly a bit longer than it seems, so if anything startles the bird while it's running, or you walk away from the cliff face before it falls off, it will have enough time to stop. If it manages to not run off the cliff, I've found that it's best to just reset the run since the bird won't have enough momentum to run off the cliff again. Also, one thing missing from this video: after killing Godrick, you need to go talk to the mask guy at The First Step before he'll appear at the church - that's why he's missing for so many people.
This is the best explanation for the bird behavior. In essence, make sure the bird if not startled, and make sure it falls off the cliff before resetting.

3000 a time if you have Golden Scarab and Gold Pickles. Alas, it's still the only method I can use since I killed Varre and haven't gotten far enough otherwise to do this exploit.
Awesome video and very helpful. Good job explaining the process well and to the point. There is a way to revert the eyes back by going to the Roundtable Hold and using the mirror in the room to turn off eye alteration.
You can also use Loretta's Greatbow spell. Pretend you have crosshairs in the middle of your screen and you'll hit the bird. The crossbow is still a better choice but thought I'd throw that info out there.
incase anyone wanted to know, There is a merchant at the farm location. he is right before the boss fight and he sells arrows and bolts.just go to that high tower and he is right to the left when you first go into the dark passage.
I'm new to the game, but can confirm this works even now. 1/26/23 I didn't bother with the crossbow. I just bought a long bow, grabbed as many arrows as I could and here were are. Apparently you don't even need the required stats for the bow.
you can get to secret snow area without beating the boss. Run to the shack in the snowy giants area, and go directly west, pass the dragon to the right and jump as far as you can using double jump. When you die at the bottom use steak to respawn and boom you're done. You just need to kill the invade dudes to activate the portal to get to the farming grace

You've quadrupled in subs and I remember your long New World rant video when amazon threatened your account and about how you went a little personal and your past dreams. But look at you now man. You stuck through and now your old dreams are coming true. Keep at it.
So I just timed myself with only the golden scarab talisman I get 13,300 something and I got 1 million in 27 minutes without the golden foot. With the golden pickle foot you get 17k
9:40 about the "red looking eyes", you can change it back to normal in Rounded Table if you use the mirror--the one located in the room with the lady who wants to give you a hug.
Another good farming spot four-toed foul feet is from the Guillemonts on the island that hold the Church of Dragon Communion Lost Grace, there are 14 of them on the left side of the island alone, could be more but that’s the route I take to farm them.
@@algrob0cat182 Kinda hard to describe but I’ll try. I go towards the shore down the hill from the ruins. There should be a cliff with three of them on it, then I just work my way alongside the edge of the left cliff (left as in if you were walking up the hill to the ruins). Then once I reach the back of the island cliff I follow the cliffs that are to the right after you turn around. If it helps with reference you should end the path where the tortoise is chilling nearby.
I run this farm every couple days for roughly the same amount of runes. I don't optimize it cause it's just so ridiculously fast to begin with, but a couple things... You don't need to have the red eyes. You can just use the seal homeboy gives you to go to that place. 2nd, you can simply auto lock the bird and hit him through the trees just as he's about to turn around. Did it w/a short how for a bit. Range wasn't quite good enough, so switched to simple longbow w/ a range of 50. Works every time. No need for the manual scoping, or red eyes

I figured out that I wasn't far enough over to the right of the cliff so simply move farther to the right. You don't have to go as far right as the 1st bulb head dood sitting on the edge of the cliff, but just a bit short of him, then fire off on the bird, wait till his wings spread, then turn back to the grace

After the side quest you just use the medal awarded you to fast travel to the location, then you've just gotta ride your horse through the blood lake, up the hill on the left, pass all the sleeping doods to touch the grace site, then hammer away
@@prince071880 try going to the first step location then talk to him. He will send you to the hold for something, then go back to the first step grace and he should be gone but a message is left. The message should say to go to the church that you see in the video.
If you haves have the Radahn blades then you can just use the ability on a bunch of the guys down the hill and reset at grace. It will give you around 18k-20k runes every 10 seconds.
FOR THOSE THAT DON'T SEE THE GUY AT THE CHURCH: Speak to Finger Reader (old lady with no eyes) in Roundtable Hold (not sure if you have to defeat Mad Tongue Alberich + Godrick as well). This will trigger the guy to move from where he is at the beginning of the game to the front of the church. Well it did for me at least. Btw. Just found your videos Kibbles. Really great content. Even if you kill Patches, he drops a bell that you can give to the twin husks in Roundtable. Doing that you can still purchase his items through them. Killing Patches only really prevents you from doing any future quests from him.
to get rid of the red eyes, goto roundtable and goto the hug lady's room, on the right is a mirror where you change your character cosmetics and theres a eye change option in there somewhere
i've tried all of the rune farms, this one is still by far the best, way better than the war dead catacombs afk imo, i couldn't get that one to trigger reliably enough, really needed this one right around level 40ish, was constantly getting 1 shotted, beefed my guy up a bit and am now able to get through mid-late game without wanting to kill myself.
@AkariCS reliability and speed, catacombs doesn't always trigger correctly as you're counting on AI and as for speed you have to sit there and wait while they kill each other, this one is a one shot and you get 10-18k souls in 2-3 seconds depending on your SL and ability to aim....i can kill the bird and reset several times before even the first guy goes down in the catacombs...i get it though, it's skill dependent...so the catacombs might be better for some people.
This is still working as of 3/8/22 6pm est. If you are having issues adjust your position to the right of the V in the cliff. When you are aiming through the branches you will be looking more straight on with the tree with leaves just to the right. Hope this helps. There’s also a glitch you can do to get 500k runes from the blood lord. You have to die to him once and then do a jump glitch using the tombstones at the yellow mist. There’s video out on it for more info

You can change your eyes back to their original color by going to the mirror in the room with the bedside companion (lady who hugs you) and going to edit your characters look, go to eyes, then toggle "eye alterations" off at the bottom.

Small detail, but whenever you shoot the bird immediately go to the site of grace and rest, while its loading you should hear an audio cue indicating you got the runes, cuts down the time by a second or so, you can get 1mill in 10 minutes, so a 300k increase.
Also, if you shoot him and he still turns around, wait for him to turn again to start running off the cliff cause he might reset before he actually dies.
I've killed that npc at the start of the game to test something (had technical difficulties, input lag etc) and just continued playing. Any other way to get there?
I have beaten Godrick but the NPC that is supposed to give you the quest at Rose Church has still not appeared, I have restarted my game to try and fix this but no luck. Are there any other prerequisites for him to spawn?
ok I figured it out, like the previous comment from Tim Atkins says, you have to talk to the two fingers at the round table but you first have to talk to that dude outside the first grace sight for it, and (not sure if this is required but it worked after I did it) you have to kill the red NPC in the round table

Sword of night and flame is literally the best weapon for this simply for its fire ability. Wipes out an entire group of blood zombies in two hits if positioned right.
Late game, instead of the zombies, try using the flame attack on the red alien guys and then use the laser to basically one shot the blood knight in front of them. Easy 30-40k runes without gold foot and only gold scarab.
Fun fact: if you were dumb enough to hit the wrong button to advance the dialog and accidentally attack the npc just outside the tutorial zone, you can't get this quest and this area is locked until endgame.
atone at the church of vows with a celestial dew and presto he's back again. Fun fact whenever you accidentally kill a friendly someone. This always works...
If you want to get rid of the EYE EFFECTS go to the mirror in fias room at the roundtable hold and “turn off eye effects” P.S. this also works for frenzied eyes, dragon eyes, as well as bloody eyes
Good vid but you added an extra step the bloody finger npc gives you a item that takes you to the lord of blood area without going back to the starting area I found on my own and been doing this for about a week and this is truly the fastest and best rune farm in the game right now based on time per amount of runes earned it is a god send for higher levels it takes me over a 100 thousand to level once now 😢

I like that crossbow too, but if you actually look at the range stat, it's quite low even compared to a standard longbow, so the whole sniping thing doesn't make sense, though you can use the bow talisman to make your arrows/bolts go further and be more effective at long range.

If you are saying you have to beat Godrick because you can't get behind the castle until you do, that isn't correct you can get behind the castle before beating Godrick. You just have to go behind the castle by the broken bridge where there is a path.

Just tested. Still works, in one hour with just the gold scarab and no fowl feet, I got 3.1m runes. Longbow seems way more consistent than a crossbow, plus you don't have to rack a bolt every time. Just fire and forget.

Turns out, you can just use the finger severer item instead of jumping off the map and it still counts as invasions. Works in 1.03 update

You can remove the blood eye effect in character customisation: Alter Face & Hair > Eyes > Eye Alteration [ON]

You can turn off the weird eye effect in the vanity mirror at the roundtable!! It's an option at the bottom of the eye colour menu
There is also a dead maiden you can soak the cloth in located at church of atonement in lurnia lakes. The body also drops the finger maiden set 9:00

9:40 about the "red looking eyes", you can change it back to normal in Rounded Table if you use the mirror--the one located in the room with the lady who wants to give you a hug.
Another good farming spot four-toed foul feet is from the Guillemonts on the island that hold the Church of Dragon Communion Lost Grace, there are 14 of them on the left side of the island alone, could be more but that’s the route I take to farm them.
I found one, whats the path to get them all?
@@algrob0cat182 Kinda hard to describe but I’ll try. I go towards the shore down the hill from the ruins. There should be a cliff with three of them on it, then I just work my way alongside the edge of the left cliff (left as in if you were walking up the hill to the ruins). Then once I reach the back of the island cliff I follow the cliffs that are to the right after you turn around. If it helps with reference you should end the path where the tortoise is chilling nearby.
And the bridge at the base of the first divine tower. That's where I usually farm for feet. I use a silver foot while doing that.
Not sure if they’re going too patch this so I did a speed run tonight on a second character, got him to lvl 100 in about 5 hours using this farm

I run this farm every couple days for roughly the same amount of runes. I don't optimize it cause it's just so ridiculously fast to begin with, but a couple things... You don't need to have the red eyes. You can just use the seal homeboy gives you to go to that place. 2nd, you can simply auto lock the bird and hit him through the trees just as he's about to turn around. Did it w/a short how for a bit. Range wasn't quite good enough, so switched to simple longbow w/ a range of 50. Works every time. No need for the manual scoping, or red eyes

@@ulibarri33ify nah, they've not patched it... Sometimes the bird doesn't run off for me either. I figured out that I wasn't far enough over to the right of the cliff so simply move farther to the right. You don't have to go as far right as the 1st bulb head dood sitting on the edge of the cliff, but just a bit short of him, then fire off on the bird, wait till his wings spread, then turn back to the grace

After the side quest you just use the medal awarded you to fast travel to the location, then you've just gotta ride your horse through the blood lake, up the hill on the left, pass all the sleeping doods to touch the grace site, then hammer away

@@prince071880 try going to the first step location then talk to him. He will send you to the hold for something, then go back to the first step grace and he should be gone but a message is left. The message should say to go to the church that you see in the video.

For str build, you can try using starcaller with Radahn weapon. Using skill twice will net around 20k with golden scarab + golden foot.
How much did you have to upgrade it
Im currently using +4, u can test it first and gradually upgrade it until starcaller one shot the trash mob.

If you haves have the Radahn blades then you can just use the ability on a bunch of the guys down the hill and reset at grace. It will give you around 18k-20k runes every 10 seconds.

FOR THOSE THAT DON'T SEE THE GUY AT THE CHURCH: Speak to Finger Reader (old lady with no eyes) in Roundtable Hold (not sure if you have to defeat Mad Tongue Alberich + Godrick as well). This will trigger the guy to move from where he is at the beginning of the game to the front of the church. Well it did for me at least.

Even if you kill Patches, he drops a bell that you can give to the twin husks in Roundtable. Doing that you can still purchase his items through them. Killing Patches only really prevents you from doing any future quests from him.

i've tried all of the rune farms, this one is still by far the best, way better than the war dead catacombs afk imo, i couldn't get that one to trigger reliably enough, really needed this one right around level 40ish, was constantly getting 1 shotted, beefed my guy up a bit and am now able to get through mid-late game without wanting to kill myself.
@AkariCS reliability and speed, catacombs doesn't always trigger correctly as you're counting on AI and as for speed you have to sit there and wait while they kill each other, this one is a one shot and you get 10-18k souls in 2-3 seconds depending on your SL and ability to aim....i can kill the bird and reset several times before even the first guy goes down in the catacombs...i get it though, it's skill dependent...so the catacombs might be better for some people.
you can get 10mil runes in just 30minutes if you just kill the tadpoles with a golden scarab talisman on and ignore the giant bird.
This is still working as of 3/8/22 6pm est. If you are having issues adjust your position to the right of the V in the cliff. When you are aiming through the branches you will be looking more straight on with the tree with leaves just to the right. Hope this helps. There’s also a glitch you can do to get 500k runes from the blood lord. You have to die to him once and then do a jump glitch using the tombstones at the yellow mist. There’s video out on it for more info

You can change your eyes back to their original color by going to the mirror in the room with the bedside companion (lady who hugs you) and going to edit your characters look, go to eyes, then toggle "eye alterations" off at the bottom.

you can kill patches and give the bell bearing to the merchant in roundtable hold
Small detail, but whenever you shoot the bird immediately go to the site of grace and rest, while its loading you should hear an audio cue indicating you got the runes, cuts down the time by a second or so, you can get 1mill in 10 minutes, so a 300k increase.
Also, if you shoot him and he still turns around, wait for him to turn again to start running off the cliff cause he might reset before he actually dies.
I've killed that npc at the start of the game to test something (had technical difficulties, input lag etc) and just continued playing. Any other way to get there?

I have beaten Godrick but the NPC that is supposed to give you the quest at Rose Church has still not appeared, I have restarted my game to try and fix this but no luck. Are there any other prerequisites for him to spawn?

ok I figured it out, like the previous comment from Tim Atkins says, you have to talk to the two fingers at the round table but you first have to talk to that dude outside the first grace sight for it, and (not sure if this is required but it worked after I did it) you have to kill the red NPC in the round table

You dont need to go to belfry, the church of inhibition has a maiden you can use for blood.
Then collect medallion and use to enter area.
Sword of night and flame is literally the best weapon for this simply for its fire ability. Wipes out an entire group of blood zombies in two hits if positioned right.
Late game, instead of the zombies, try using the flame attack on the red alien guys and then use the laser to basically one shot the blood knight in front of them. Easy 30-40k runes without gold foot and only gold scarab.
If you don't see the guy at the church, you need to talk to him at The First Step bonfire, then talk to the finger lady in the Roundtable area

Fun fact: if you were dumb enough to hit the wrong button to advance the dialog and accidentally attack the npc just outside the tutorial zone, you can't get this quest and this area is locked until endgame.

If you want to get rid of the EYE EFFECTS go to the mirror in fias room at the roundtable hold and “turn off eye effects”
P.S. this also works for frenzied eyes, dragon eyes, as well as bloody eyes

Good vid but you added an extra step the bloody finger npc gives you a item that takes you to the lord of blood area without going back to the starting area I found on my own and been doing this for about a week and this is truly the fastest and best rune farm in the game right now based on time per amount of runes earned it is a god send for higher levels it takes me over a 100 thousand to level once now 😢
You need the blood of a maiden and going back to the tutorial boss is a way to get that. There are some other spots but blood of a maiden is required.
in terms of eyes, you can always go to the mirror in fia's room (Roundtable hold) -> edit your eyes -> set eye alterations to OFF.

I like that crossbow too, but if you actually look at the range stat, it's quite low even compared to a standard longbow, so the whole sniping thing doesn't make sense, though you can use the bow talisman to make your arrows/bolts go further and be more effective at long range.

If you are saying you have to beat Godrick because you can't get behind the castle until you do, that isn't correct you can get behind the castle before beating Godrick. You just have to go behind the castle by the broken bridge where there is a path.

Just tested. Still works, in one hour with just the gold scarab and no fowl feet, I got 3.1m runes. Longbow seems way more consistent than a crossbow, plus you don't have to rack a bolt every time. Just fire and forget.
