I like watching your videos and live in Los Angeles near the ocean. The coldest temperature was 30F about thirty years ago and last year was 40F. I use your products on all of my plants and thank you. I do not use any chemical fertilizers since I started to use your products.

Also, should probably mention watering a day or two before the event while it is still warm.
The wet ground hold the heat better than dry soil and that helps
    Protect the roots.

I live in Central Texas. February 2021 we had the cold snap for a week and the temps went as low as 3 F. I covered all the ground plants the builders planted July 2019 with heavy duty moving blankets to the ground before it froze. Surprisingly, it worked. The zone 8 South African bulbine survived. The Texas live oak trees got a skirt down to the edge of the mulch ring and they came through fine without frost cracking.
Some of the foliage looked kinda trashed but the plants came back and looked nice by summer. The heavy moving blankets blocked the cold dry wind so that helped prevent dessication.
Worth a try if it’s going to be really cold unexpectedly (ex. After the event was over it went from below freezing to 70F in the same day!)

I always used Christmas lights for my 3 citrus trees. Wrapped them up good. I used the standard light bulbs not the LED. LED lights do not get warm.

Thank you for this video. Can you please do a video on how to maximize dense leaf growth for Eagleston Hollies in Houston TX.

Eagleston Holly is beautiful and relatively easy to grow in Houston. Although it has a preference for well drained slightly acidic soil, usually these Hollies aren't real fussy. For dense, dark green leaves I recommend 6 cups of our "Blend" topically applied over each root zone and then spray over the Blend and on all the Holly trunks with our Penetrate Liquid Biotiller. Do this once per month for 4 months starting in very early Spring and you'll get great results! - John
