HOLE IN VALVE COVER & NEW PLUGS & WIRES - Squarebody Chevy

Some general maintenance on the ol 1978 Chevy K30.
Diagnose misfire with HEI ignition.
Replace Spark Plugs and spark plug wires.
1984 350ci
1978 Chevrolet K30 Scottsdale.

I had that same issue with headers burning my wires. So I picked up a set of ceramic plug wires. They were in direct contact with the header and never had issues, but they are spendy. Spark plug boots with a heat shield would probally work, and they are affordable. I think the plugs looked good with 12 years of service on them.

Use that boot on new wire

tell the parts store you need a peanut plug...its a shorter plug made for headers
