Thanks for your videos, I took my test last Tuesday and I passed on both written test and skills test, your videos helped me a lot. Thanks and more power...
When she went to dry the foot, she wiped instead of patted dry which could damage the skin. Also she didn't WASH between the toes or even pat dry off any excess lotion, she wiped
I am following your videos for basic care, I have an elderly parent that I take care of and have no proper skills, of course, but it's handy knowledge.
Yes, because that is the whole reason you are doing this skill. It's not really to get the foot clean, it is to have an opportunity to observe all surfaces. Cleaning the foot is an added benefit. Hope this helps!
Great video. I watched all this but failed my test because i had to do all my skills at once here in Iowa. They gave me a paper saying “ mrs lane is an unconscious 72 years old woman. She needs oral care and side positionning. While caring for her you notice she is incontinent “ and i had 45 mn... i freaked out and missed many things because i had to do all the skill at oncs. Going back in 2 weeks. Please help cos i will have some similar again. Which skill do i do first ? I did oral care , changed her chuck and pericare and position her but failed. ( infection control)... do i need bed change in this scenario. ? Do i change her bed cos she incontinent / or does need bed bath because of her incontinence? Also which skill comes first in this scenario. Tks 🙏🙏🙏🙏
My test is nxt week....I hope I pass it. Based on wat u said ,I think u should hv done the oral care first, then Incontinence, lastly side positioning. nd no u dont have to change the linen... Yes the patient is incontinent but there is a chalk ryt there fr protection,u just hv to change it b4 and after ur procedures
She does not need a full or partial bed bath. All she needs is peri-care, changed out of the wet clothes/briefs, and change the incontinence pad. It's up to you if you do these things before or after the nail care since you notice it while caring for her.
We hope you did well on your exam! Yes, cleaning the feet would be part of a complete bed bath, but CLEANING isn't really why you are there! You are performing foot care to LOOK at all surfaces of the foot. This is important, because as we age, we lose flexibility and it is harder to see all surfaces of the feet. That means that sores, wounds, rashes or other abnormalities may go unnoticed by the patient. This is especially important in diabetic patients because they may also lose sensation in their feet so wounds may go unnoticed for a very long time if no one is looking and become harder to heal. Washing the feet is just the tool we use to be able to visualize all the surfaces of the foot. Hope this helps!
Patrick Fraccola bc you wipe the bottom anyway. The bottom of the basin should never come in contact w the pt table w/o barrier, the items sit inside the basin, etc. as long as the inside stays clean it’s ok.

Thanks for the video I passed my CNA exam yesterday
My instructor told me not to put both wash cloths in the basin at the same time. Will it be an issue it I do or don't?
I'm taking the test tomorrow! So check this, my class wrapped up on October 20 and my test was set for the 28th! Then Covid rolled its ugly head around and got my test rescheduled to December 4..
I've barely studied 🥲 doing some last-minute crunching now! Thanks to Patty, I was able to remember most of the steps so I'm pretty much breezing through everything. Prayers are very much welcomed though lol please wish me luck for tomorrow!
Did you pass ?

When she went to dry the foot, she wiped instead of patted dry which could damage the skin. Also she didn't WASH between the toes or even pat dry off any excess lotion, she wiped
I take my test today, in 30 minutes in fact. Failed the first time because of the pulse. Wish me luck! I really hope I pass this time.
I passed it!!!!!!!!!! 😁😁😁😁
What do you mean pulse
@@laybrown3678 a testing skill for cnas are taking a pulse, if you are not within 4 (for example, I get 85 but the examiner gets 90) you do not pass.
I am following your videos for basic care, I have an elderly parent that I take care of and have no proper skills, of course, but it's handy knowledge.
I take my skills tomorrow and I’m so nervous 😩… wish me luck please 😭
how it go?
I really appreciate your videos 🤩It helped me pass the cna exam today!!🙌🏻
I would like to know do you have to tell Evaluator that you are observing for any wounds, sores, redness and abnormalities.
Yes, because that is the whole reason you are doing this skill. It's not really to get the foot clean, it is to have an opportunity to observe all surfaces. Cleaning the foot is an added benefit. Hope this helps!
Why not do.both feet?
Infection control could refer to lack of handwashing
Incontinence care would be the first skill you do
God loves the person reading this truly unconditionally ❤❤
I test tomorrow at 9am!! I’m nervous!
How did you do ?

@@4yourcna I passed! I’m now working at a well known hospital in Houston!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Really grateful of your videos .they made me pass my test today. Happy of u
hha pretcive test and answers
Why do they do foot care? I am just curious because wouldn't they have done that during complete bath?
Thank you CNA I feel easy from your skills
More power and God bless 🙏 you
Happy to help!
I take my exam tomorrow, These videos are so helpful:)
Caleb Dunlap did you pass?
Yes, I did These videos helped me so much.@@zebbritah
Caleb Dunlap did you pass?
Caleb Dunlap Yayyyy im glad!!! 💜 💜
Why do you always put the clean basin in the dirty sink...?
Patrick Fraccola bc you wipe the bottom anyway. The bottom of the basin should never come in contact w the pt table w/o barrier, the items sit inside the basin, etc. as long as the inside stays clean it’s ok.
