Guys, I’ve been watching since Andre popped up in some of the episodes and spoke Russian. These series have been absolutely fantastic. By far my favorite content to watch on RUclips. Thanks for giving me many many hours of entertainment. Looking forward to many more videos.
I had a 2006 Jeep Liberty. Loved it. I was so envious of that soft roof. I'm glad I didn't get one. Also owned a patriot and compass. Both were designed to fail. Constant electrical system issues.
Best line "momentum is my friend" is so true! I have fond memories of my dad and grandpa's cj5s, and they both would have hit the hill in 4hi with speed. We may end up with goose eggs from bouncing our heads off the interior, but the obstacles would pose no issue.
❤😊😊 LOVE THESE CHEAP BEATER BATTLES, MORE OF THESE TEAM!!!!! Tired of cars that cost 80k reviews. More to life than a mortgage payment for a deprecated item
I was yelling "TOMMY WINS!" as he drove up. But, I'm old, and that CJ is what Jeeps were in the good ole' Kansas prairie when I grew up. Also, it will appreciate every year it doesn't get rolled...
Drove a 2012 KK for 188,000 miles. No major repairs. Body held up well and looked great when I finally traded it off. It managed a couple good snowstorms very well and some light off roading.
The Libertys are quite unexpectedly good offroad. Had an 04 Liberty Renegade and ran it with a lot of modifyed wranglers and kept up easily. No mods apart from the aftermarket stereo and I had K02's but they were factory size!
Yeah I totally agree. Their problem is they look not so great. But you can buy lift kits and put a little bigger tires on them and they are pretty bomber. I wonder if Andre could do a lift and rear locker.
@@phild9813 yeah true i think the earlier design like before what andre got didnt look all that good, but with the signals on the bumper looked better. I wonder if he did lift it if he went the expensive route with bilstein shocks and OME springs or went with a rough country spacer lift
Same here, ordered a 2004 with the off-road package that included the limited slip dif. 161,000 miles, and it still chirps the tires around corners if I accelerate. Best limited slip I have ever had. Still own it.
Liberty is cute compared to XJ before it. It should have been lighter then the 3.7 would have been a nicer motor. I like the look of the original Liberty better than Gen 2.
Love ur vids! Been a fan since 2016!!! U are my first yt channel , ur legends to me (I’m saying this every vid) love u guys! Hope u see this! The classic guys are still here!! Love the vids!
Tough to know who to root for here… a yellow jeep or a Jeep that I know is better than everyone thinks (Andre’s KJ). Yeah, Andre’s Jeep is awesome… let’s go KJ liberty! Just needs some sliders, lift and tires… send it Andre! I couldn’t get mine stuck in my test trips and it’s still stock.
Great video Guys! Looking forward to seeing what's to come with these rigs! I think budget builds are one of my favorite things to watch on your channel!
I had a 1993 audi as a commuter and it always leaked oil. I put a pan on the garage floor to see how much it leaked and it was just a few drops so I never fixed it. 200k miles later, it finally bit the dust in a car accident. I have a bmw now and no leaks so far!
Tommy reminds me of the real life aaahh” Morty….. All grown up from the cartoon Rick and Morty … Lol his dad also kinda reminds me of the dad from the show too! Lol
I had a old Chevy blazer that had running boards on it and that was the first thing I ever did to it was take the off. Made it look way better with out them.
A fun video. I have a '95 Wrnagler which I bought with only a few thousand miles in 1996. It is a California Jeep and appears nearly new - without dings and dents, and a few mods like bumpers, tires, etc. No suspension lifts. I kept it because none of my kids wanted it.
Take the running boards off, get good tires and the KK is the best for the money. Also hill decent control only works in 4 Lo in the KK. So neutral first, 4 Lo, then hit the hill decent control button. 😂
I threw a small lift and a spartan locker in my ‘07 Liberty for $500 total so Andre having $7k to mod should really make that formidable machine. Really the locker is what made all the difference.
I just bought an 07' Liberty with 110k on it in good shape. Underbody rust is it's only demon! The frame has already been replaced, and I've Surface Sheild thoroughly hoping to get like 5 more years outta it. I love this Lil' mini monster. I had an 04' for acouple of years and it was stolen. I got the 07 out the door for $5675 and then had the struts and shocks replaced and totaling exactly $6,000. All I can say is Horaaa!
I had a 2006 liberty and loved it. Even though I put more money into it than I paid/what it was worth. Andre should take that 7 thousand and but a new jeep lol
My Grandpa had one of those altimiters in his Jeep. You had to know what elevation you were at to begin with. Then it did pretty good telling you how much elevation you were gaining or losing...
About those “never fail” Warn hubs, I experienced hub failure on my ‘50 3A. Found that previous owner wasn’t fully engaging the lockouts and ground the teeth to where they only partially engaged. Under a hard load they began to slip and would lose front drive. Was able to force engage (basically became full-time 4wd) until I got home and replaced.
Ouch. That comes down to how they were assembled they need to be set correctly when rebuilding them. There is definatly alot that can go wrong in there but mostly due to corrosion and neglect.
So what you got to do is in the 2012 Jeep Liberty jet is put it in first gear when you hit downhill to descent button if you don't it let you go too fast I've noticed that with mine once you put it in first gear that it works really good
Id rather have a V8 zj with some 35s and long arm kit. Imo, best cheap jeep. Xj is awesome but I've had both and the 5.2 and 5.9 plus coils all around make the zj a better off road contender for cheap.
@@Brandon-u2l6j ZJs are the best honestly, especially for a budget offroader! Ive had an exremely built 5.2 ZJ on one tons. My picture is of my old 5.9. I now own a black 5.9, Ill never own another 4.0. Ive had 3, and theyve been nothing but problems.
Yeah this was stupid. You can easily get a tricked out tj xj for under $10k. 2023 I bought in colorado a 97 tj 4.0l 5sp 180k hard top air lockers lift 35" tires for only $5k
Fitst gen Liberty's are so underrated. Sinple 2.5 inch OME lift and soke god AT ir MTs and the way they level up in capabilities is unreal. Night and day
I think the first generation Liberty it's a really good-looking Jeep. I think the styling was inspired by a concept vehicle called the Dakar.... Which was sort of a 4-door Wrangler which preceded the Unlimited model
Liberty 3.7 is just waiting to drop a seat or head gasket. Had one it was garbage. Motor seized with oil. It had the same 4wd and engine yours has. Gas mileage was at best 15 10:41
Tommy, great choice, of a vehicle. I am proud of you 👏. Show us the skill to pay the bills 💵, off road. War wide world rated, am my Mom 👵 proofed( She learned to drive in a jeep, WW2, donated to Farm owners
The nice thing with Tommy’s vehicle is that when engaging 4 low, he can actually look through the hole in the floor to see if it works
That was the must have option for that generation
And if Tommy's Jeep was postal, he'd be sitting and driving on the other side.
Love the cheap 4WD series from TFL.
Cheap Jeep. It rhymes, how could you mess that up?
Guys, I’ve been watching since Andre popped up in some of the episodes and spoke Russian. These series have been absolutely fantastic. By far my favorite content to watch on RUclips. Thanks for giving me many many hours of entertainment. Looking forward to many more videos.
Me too!
Me too! Remember how he had his little hat?
I had a 2006 Jeep Liberty. Loved it. I was so envious of that soft roof. I'm glad I didn't get one.
Also owned a patriot and compass. Both were designed to fail. Constant electrical system issues.
I really like the layout of this one in which Roman spectates and officiates the events. I think it fits them all well
Best line "momentum is my friend" is so true! I have fond memories of my dad and grandpa's cj5s, and they both would have hit the hill in 4hi with speed. We may end up with goose eggs from bouncing our heads off the interior, but the obstacles would pose no issue.
Great job, juys. when no-one can afford a new jeep, this is the way we're all looking.
❤😊😊 LOVE THESE CHEAP BEATER BATTLES, MORE OF THESE TEAM!!!!! Tired of cars that cost 80k reviews. More to life than a mortgage payment for a deprecated item
I almost always buy pre owned cars. 3 years old is the sweet spot. Most cars are usually half price by then and you can still get a warranty.
I was yelling "TOMMY WINS!" as he drove up. But, I'm old, and that CJ is what Jeeps were in the good ole' Kansas prairie when I grew up. Also, it will appreciate every year it doesn't get rolled...
Nathan's black Jeep with the black steel wheels looks pretty sweet!
Lol, Nathan didn’t disappoint with his fast as possible method…. And his shirt! 😂
Drove a 2012 KK for 188,000 miles. No major repairs. Body held up well and looked great when I finally traded it off. It managed a couple good snowstorms very well and some light off roading.
Once again it's Nathan with the perfect amount of momentum showing the others how's it done !!!
Andre- Tires, lift and Locker! That's what ya need. All good to go then
Really enjoying this series. Also Andre should definitely get a rear locker. It would be top of the list for most off road builds.
Yeah, with a locker, wheels and lift, neither of the others could get anywhere near his capability
Yes! I got a spartan locker in my ‘07 Liberty and for less than $500. Made the biggest difference in capability
The Libertys are quite unexpectedly good offroad. Had an 04 Liberty Renegade and ran it with a lot of modifyed wranglers and kept up easily. No mods apart from the aftermarket stereo and I had K02's but they were factory size!

Nathan go slow? Hell No!!! Great video guys. Get Tommy some shocks before he gets a concussion.
For $7k, Andre should just buy two more Libertys so he has a couple backups. Two is one and one is none, so three would set him up pretty.
My dad says that's all the time now I have triples of almost every thing
Triples of the nova??@@The10AcreMan
The funniest episode yet😂!! The jokes and roasting each other. Good laughs is what we need together 👍 I'd like to hear more!!!
I enjoyed the undertone of old school top gear cheap car challenge. Great episode. :)
This was such a fun watch. I'm impressed with how capable those cheaper Jeeps are.
I had a new 2004 Jeep Liberty , I ordered it with limited slip rear diff . That Jeep would go just about anywhere.
i had a manual "Freedom edition" it was awesome off road (after real tires were installed)
People absolutely disrespect the liberty, but it certainly goes places!
Same here, ordered a 2004 with the off-road package that included the limited slip dif. 161,000 miles, and it still chirps the tires around corners if I accelerate. Best limited slip I have ever had. Still own it.

The peg board headliner is wild!
Gonna be a great series as always

Great work.
Nathan is hilarious!
The whole crew do good work
The nice thing about Tommy's is that he can keep his tools neatly organized right on the pegboard ceiling of his
Great video Guys! Looking forward to seeing what's to come with these rigs! I think budget builds are one of my favorite things to watch on your channel!
They sure are good at showing how great of chemistry Clarkson Hammond and May have
Nathan is so right! When in doubt, throttle out!!
"Self cleansing cooling system" had me rolling. Reminds me of my buddy with his 2008 Audi A4. Never has to change the oil because of the leaks.
I had a 1993 audi as a commuter and it always leaked oil. I put a pan on the garage floor to see how much it leaked and it was just a few drops so I never fixed it. 200k miles later, it finally bit the dust in a car accident. I have a bmw now and no leaks so far!
Thats what the TFL is all about, a very enjoyable part it was, thnx guys
Super cool Rory is onboard!! Can’t wait
Amazing how much better the CJ works when you press DOWN on the skinny pedal.
Awesome video.. I appreciate the time..effort as well as money it takes to do this..Thanks Roman Tommy Andrey n Nathan.
CJ-5 is such a cool classic.
Tommy reminds me of the real life aaahh” Morty….. All grown up from the cartoon Rick and Morty … Lol
his dad also kinda reminds me of the dad from the show too! Lol
I had a old Chevy blazer that had running boards on it and that was the first thing I ever did to it was take the off. Made it look way better with out them.
that's pure top gear show. I love it !
The yellow CJ is off the charts cool.
I think Andre picked the best for the cost.
🤣Tommy’s roof looks to be pegboard from grandpa’s garage walls, just needs the tool inventory outlines for a finishing touch! 🪚🪛🛠️🪓✂️

I see both liberty’s absolutely EVERYWHERE here in Detroit. Very solid cars if OBVIOUSLY the maintenance was done. Love These.
I’m just curious why Nathan didn’t get a trail rated liberty. 90% of them are yet he ended up with a non trail rated fully loaded model. ☹️
Momentum babyyyyy!!!! 😂😂.
Cackling like a mad man as he goes by Roman,,,,😊😊
Still on top there Nathan!! That Jet looks nice, but,,,, haha.
You guys have the best jobs on earth.
LOVED the video! Thank you for doing this video with affordable jeep! It gets depressing seeing off-road rigs I can't afford all the time.
I love the CJ5. I don't care how janky it is. It is epic.
These guys are living the dream. I’m jealous. Seems like the best job ever.
Take the running boards off, get good tires and the KK is the best for the money. Also hill decent control only works in 4 Lo in the KK. So neutral first, 4 Lo, then hit the hill decent control button. 😂

I can hardly keep up with what channel has what! I would’ve thought this should go on the TFL Off-road.
I just bought an 07' Liberty with 110k on it in good shape. Underbody rust is it's only demon! The frame has already been replaced, and I've Surface Sheild thoroughly hoping to get like 5 more years outta it.

Love that he's wearing a suzuki hat 😂
Unpopular Opinion I'm sure... Red Liberty has got this. Making this call at 8 Minutes in on this video
Tommy's CJ is the best in my opinion! No jokes!
OG 3 + Tommy awesome series always my fav keep it up TFL !
Put a little sound system in that baby, Andre!
"Now look at Roman with his yuppie Jeep right there."😆
Yea, Tommy definitely picked the best of the lot.
Tommy as always out did everyone this is going to be awesome to watch!!
Nathan definitely makes these episodes more fun
I love Roman's JK. That thing is a beast...
Very fun episode 🤠
I had a 2006 liberty and loved it. Even though I put more money into it than I paid/what it was worth. Andre should take that 7 thousand and but a new jeep lol
Great series
Looking forward to seeing what happens
I love this series, i really do! Can´t wait to the next sunday! Cheers guys!
Just when I was ready to abandon all hope! Tommy actually does something man like! There is hope after all….
These are the guys that switch to 4low while there's still 2 tires on asphalt.
😂
Love these types of videos. Hilarious. 😂. The sarcasm is top notch.
I'm enjoying my 2004 kj Jeep liberty since four years very reliable, fuel economy too as well.
The older Jeep is my favorite.
I really enjoyed this video and the series, thank you!
Team Nathan, it’s luxury cruiser unlike Tommy I bet he will sore n worn out finishing Moab trail? Can’t wait for next vid👍
lol. I love every minute of when you do these series. thanks fellas
👍 great video. Great series. Those jeeps are tough. Im excited to see what mods you guys do next. 👍

Now do it with actual cheap Jeeps, a ZJ, XJ, and 4 banger TJ. You can get all 3 together under 10k here.
Was just gonna say. If you want a Jeep for under $10K it'd be foolhardy to go with anything less than a clean XJ.
Id rather have a V8 zj with some 35s and long arm kit. Imo, best cheap jeep. Xj is awesome but I've had both and the 5.2 and 5.9 plus coils all around make the zj a better off road contender for cheap.

I picked up a very nice MJ for $9800 with a 4.0L, AX15 and 4x4. That whole 80-90s generation was just excellent.
Yeah this was stupid. You can easily get a tricked out tj xj for under $10k.
2023 I bought in colorado a 97 tj 4.0l 5sp 180k hard top air lockers lift 35" tires for only $5k
It's always so fun to watch these cheap vehicle challenges. 👍👍👍
This reminds me of my friends in high school when we got our drivers permit.
I'm really enjoying this series, great job everyone! Looking forward to more vids
Homage to Top Gear?? Love it, keep it up!
Hey. I had a 07 liberty just like that one. Chilly pepper red. Loved it.
Lots of the people who hate the 72K Jeeps of today should look at these videos, 7K+7K in upgrades can get you some pretty fun and tough Jeeps!
Fitst gen Liberty's are so underrated. Sinple 2.5 inch OME lift and soke god AT ir MTs and the way they level up in capabilities is unreal. Night and day
Love this series!!
I have to root for Tommy. He bought the only JP in this challenge.
Kudos for the Rush shirt😂
I think the first generation Liberty it's a really good-looking Jeep. I think the styling was inspired by a concept vehicle called the Dakar.... Which was sort of a 4-door Wrangler which preceded the Unlimited model
Need more of this series asap!!!!
Fun series! repping RUSH, Nathan, love it!

Keep up the great work 👍
I love these type of episodes, keep em coming :)
