    That’s more talent than has ever been together in one game, or probably ever will be. That’s why the FSU-Miami rivalry in the 80’s and 90’s is STILL the rivalry all other rivalries want to be.

    I a, an Ole Miss guy. Watched every matchup from these two for years. They defined college football through the 80s and 90s. Just awesome coaching and talent. All built by some Alabama boys. Bowden grew up in Bama. And Schnellenberger was a bear Bryant coach.

    They should have just had Deion follow Irving. They didn't really do that in those days, especially not in college. They just had you play your zone, or the man across from you on your side of the field. It was some kind of philosophy about not highlighting the individual, and we're just going to play our game.

      As a bama fan who grew up in that era not taking nothing from Miami but y'all schedule sucked canes never played no one unless it was Florida st and the bowl games and it usually was Nebraska or Oklahoma y'all lost to bama in 92 it was a blow out if y'all was in the sec wouldn't be running the tables

    Great video. Shows Deion tackling hard. Misleading because Deion never guarded Irvin. Irvin was always in the slot or the other side of the field. Michael did catch two touchdowns on other players, but not Deion.

    I’m not a fan of any teams in the south but college football was better when the three Florida schools were great like this. I remember watching these games as a kid - some of the best games I’ve ever seen. Hopefully they all get back to this.

      Marcus Watson they were talking about the ‘94 nfc championship game. Dallas was down and Irvin single handily brought them back ending up having like 200+ yards with Deion covering him. But this game was the same thing. Irvin was that kind of player he was a leader who was about winning. If coop was half the man he was you don’t allow someone to limit u to 2 targets.

Wish I could have seen guys like that play. I spend more time watching old highlights then I do watching some games now. Though their is still a lot of good football for sure. The wide receivers and RB were just so good 10+ years ago.

    We owned FSU and UF. To this day we have a more titles and hold the head to head advantage against both schools. At one point in the early 2000s we won 9 straight against both of those bums.

      This is the comment I was coming to make. I'm like what is this, Deion Sanders making big hits! In the NFL he just made a business decision. He tackled, but he wasn't smashing into people. He'd let you run slightly by him on purpose and grab your legs so he wouldn't have to take the runner on. I guess that started when he got to the league, cause that's when I started watching him, his rookie year.

    That Sanders guy ended up having a successful career in the NFL, somebody said he was a head coach at A HBCU, and turned the program around and brought national attention to the program..has anybody heard of Jackson State??? I even heard his son is the QB and another son that plays the same position as his dad....they call him coach Prime.

    One huge myth about Dion is that he shy away from contact. He’s not out there like Ray Lewis or anything, but he’s definitely not and never was afraid of contact.
