Let her Cry was a Hootie and the Blowfish song in the late nineties, before he went country. I grew up listening to this and never really thought of it as a country song until I heard this version.
Happy Belated Birthday! Must be that we're birthday buddies that explains why I like your channel so much, lol. Nah, it's how you see things and are so honest. Keep doing this, highly enjoying watching you watching videos and reacting.
👍 Because I grounded & missed 1st concert 1-2 yrs b4, Aerosmith turned out to be my 1st & 2nd (bc some1 backed out last minute) concerts in 88 & 89 💞 then 3rd 🙃 was Janet Jackson 89 or 90 ... 😆 I listened to every genre exc country then
"Let her Cry" isn't a country song. It was a big hit for Hootie & the Blowfish in the 90s. Darius went solo & started doing country much later. And you're right. The original lyrics were "... through her dark hair"
When I teach barre chords on guitar, I teach them the original Otis Redding version because the walk down part is the same fingering going down one fret at a time.
First time I've heard him sing. He sounded as good as Otis Redding, but with added roughness. Someone else you need to hear is Sydnie Christmas. She has new videos "Starlight Express" and "My Way" out now.❤
Yeo, really don't listen to this artist , but watch one of your things from Bob Dylan you can listen to some good stuff is that so much really stuff play Tangled Up in blues or All Along the Watchtower Jimi Hendrix really like that one
He is a great song writer, but I about hate his voice! I listen to Otis redding all the time and love the classics! But if you can't do the original any justice please leave it alone!
I KNOW I’m in the minority here, but I really don’t understand the hype with this guy. I know good singers: I listen to Adele, Stevie, Freddie, etc…. I find this cover to be very underwhelming
Thanks for making me feel like more of an old fart Brit. You were born in 88, I was graduating high school in 88. I’ll go back to my corner and sit down now. 😂
to hear jelly roll comes from trap House music two country music is it totally different change and I'm proud of him. The Whole Nation 16.13.12 @Britt Google jelly rolls 10 minute freestyle

Darius is from my state. Seen Hootie and the blowfish couple times in early 2000s at our bars downtown . It was fun !
The best cover of Let Her Cry is by The Charlie Daniels Band.

You should check out upchurch cover of waisted on you its fire 🔥
Hootie and the Blowfish weren't country...they were 90's alt rock...Darius went country on later on.

I'm betting Otis is pleased. Peace, Love!!
Darius sings Dark Hair in the original.
Howard Stern started out as a big “shock jock”!
Try Craig Morgan, "I was almost home".
Please listen to Kenny Rogers song Reuben James. The original cut live ..on stage. You will be vary surprised ..maybe shocked ..but in a good way
Do I am not okay jelly roll
Happy belated birffday Britt!!!. A fellow Virgo. I'm 5 days older than you. (As long as you ignore the year)
Please react to Ren, he'll blow your mind.

Sorry just not a cover song fan, very few artist can do the original artist songs justice!
Otis Redding was an incredible talent, so game recognizes game and Jelly has probably been performing some of his songs for years.
When this song hit number one with Otis Redding. Otis had already passed away. It wss the first dong to reach number one from deceased singer.

Evidently you don't care about view count. With your personality you could do much better with better choices.

Thank you Scott and Greg. I was born in '74 and consider myself an old fart. I just turned 50 and, after reading your comments, I feel young again.
