Great update. Thank you. It looks great. Now they need a daily maintenance crew to keep it clean.

Looking good so far and I’m hoping that improvements will continue along the area. The beech also needs to be cleaned on a daily basis. Last but not least, security should be the top priority and citizens and visitors alike can feel safe out there and enjoying the new beautiful landscape

I think this is a good start for an area that has been neglected for far too long. Would be beneficial if the entirety of the sea wall is upgraded so citizens aren’t confined to one ‘nice’ area. I understand this is part of a national beautification project by the First Lady so kudos to her for taking that on. Maybe she could work with the Mayor and City Council and really take that project forward to higher heights 😏. Wishful thinking, I know!
The one thing that irks me with these things is the One Guyana slogan which is plastered over every piece of ‘development’ done- isn’t that a party political slogan? There’s a distinct message being sent in doing that, and it’s not a good one. But anyhow, a good start overall.

Good improvement overall! However they must complete the landscaping by surrounding the area with mancured grass and uniform white sand on the beach!
The govt also has to hire a dedicated maintenance crew to clean the seawall area on a daily basis which should include emptying garbages, removing litter from the beach, power washing the area and regular cleaning of the public restrooms!
Finally they should have police on bikes riding up and down the walkway!

While i agree that the finished product doesn't seems as polished as we would all like, i have followed your entire series on this project and I noticed as the worked progressed the contractor has gotten better so it could be lack of skill labour to do paving stones. The roundabout has better quality of work. I guess this is part of the growing pains.

Wow what’s up with all these negative comments. Put politics aside and just appreciate the beauty and stop stifling your conscience. The sea wall looks 1000% better than before. I just hope that Guyanese can keep the place clean. Thanks Rafael for all of your wonderful updates on our beautiful country Guyana❤🇬🇾One love!

i need to come to that country and show the the powers that be how to really do the beautification thing because i see a lot of areas that are lacking as far as imagination goes- you got the money now all you need is fresh ideas and infrastructural development that can compete with and on a world class level ok.get ya shizzle together baby.

While the look has improved significantly. Only time will determine its quality. I trust that the City will add a permanent cleaning crew for its maintenance. Seemingly some people prefer to throw their trash anywhere. Maybe outside companies can be offered the cleaning up Business.🤪
What about a walk through in ‘Tiger Bay’.and Sophia .Let’s see their development and progress.

Can you please do a video on the Guyana Police card with the word Policía on there ? I in fact think it’s sort of cool & makes the cars look a bit more serious. It’s also quite accommodating & no one really does it. It’s futuristic thinking to me. I’d like to know your thoughts on it

Let see if we, Guyanese, will keep it clean and attractive, which I highly doubt. People will always criticize because it is nature of the beast. Even though the same people would not, do not and did build, anything, but instead they would destroy things. These same people will complain when the place is filthy even though they are the ones making the mess and leaving garbage all over the place.

I have a problem with these projects, first, is this a private sponsor hence the first lady name on it,
second, if this is tax payers monies being spent on this project why the first lady name on it, these
political parties have to stop this nonsense, President Granger took that bush filled area behind Cuffy
statue and made it a nice clean place to hold any special function for the Guyanese people, did the then
Govt named it after Granger or his wife, now that place has been left to rotten and fall apart and become
another sore eye in the Capital city, as one commentator on this site said, let the first lady work with the
Mayor and beautify the capital city, that is one Guyana, one other thing, we are a oil rich country, can't
we have better looking parks, roads, hospitals,schools,.........

yes 100 more coconut/palm trees along the entire length of the seawall-add a dozen boardwalks/bandstands a public swimming pool for those roasting hot days and a public gym ,at least some stationary exercise equipment should be installed.then the whole /project would come alive/shine brightly ok.tell your president and other officials to use that oil money wisely and do not favor the indians
and family/friends by giving the big money infrastructure contracts to just them they already own just about evrything in that country ok. otherwise-THAT ONE GUYANA SLOGAN IS A BIG FAT JOKE/LIE OK

Raphael, l concur. It could have been better. A lot of shabby work and maintenance is still lacking. It doesn't look pristine, it looks third world and I could still see garbage. But this Guyana and it's no big thing, so we gon tek it.

Exactly. These haters are the worst. Sometimes I wonder if they really love Guyana. The seawall looks gorgeous and they are trying to say otherwise. Let them comment on where they are living now and leave Guyana out of their conversations because they have nothing positive to comment on.
