Yeah! it's been 6 months since I bought a PC, I got 3 PCgamespass free months and I played every game I wanted, and I already have 3 more free months to activate, I'll wait until Indiana Jones and Avowed are released lol. The only down side is GTA 6...
@@jonaspetty8767 yeah GTA 6 is partially why I haven’t sold my Series X yet. It’s also nice having the option to just sit on the couch in front of a big tv, rather than desk and monitor setup.
If you consider yourself a "fan" of something as evil as a microsoft subsidiary, you are the problem with gaming. Microsoft isn't involved in the gaming industry, They literally do not make games or art. They are just going to buy it up and slowly dismantle it. Microsoft doesn't create. They consume. End of story.
@@WhiteInk47Same old same old: they feel with the lack of exclusives there's no reason to buy the Xbox, when everyone can play games everywhere, PS and PC suddenly have more options because they have more games, Xbox games plus other exclusive games. They're too emotionally attached. But when the hardware doesn't sell as much as the competition, Xbox have to do something to generate money.
Compare Sony exclusives pre PS3 vs in the ps4 era and we can talk then. Yes large titles like RDR2 and Spiderman remastered but again remade and remastered from better ps2 and ps3 games.
Yeah I feel it, I still keep my console because I have a big back catalogue. Luckily I have some games that are playable on PC due to the Xbox Play Anywhere. But yeah anything new from Xbox will be played on PC. I’m very glad I decided to make the switch
@ Exactly! looks like PS is putting a lot of exclusives on PC these days as well. By the time the next gen rolls around, PC will truly be the superior choice. Gotta keep the XSX around too man, it’ll be in my living room until it dies now 😅
@@TankManer the console wars are over dude. Japan won, Nintendo and Sony dominate. The Americans focused wayyyyy more on economic growth than actual entertainment, this happens with EVERY company in the states. Super sad greed is king in the states.

I'm huge Halo fan, but it has been awful since Reach. It's incredibly sad as a former xboy, but Xbox is irrelevant now, and so is Sony to some extent. The best coverage combo is PC and Switch imo, even if you have to wait a while for timed exclusives
@@TheRealSlimsagey7 sony isn't irrelevant when the ps5 sales aren't far behind the ps4 sales. Nintendo is and has always been the king of console exclusives though. If Nintendo ever caught up to ps and xbox in power I'd easily make it my main console for 3rd party games, and ps for console exclusives. Pc for certain games, no xbox needed.
People keep saying "oh I'm so glad I switched to pc it's xyz better" Bro for 500 to 600 dollars i can turn on a system and play. No worries about things running, drivers, audio issues, conflicting software, ram, GPU, cpu usage, power worries. Forced to use multiple launchers for different games. Nothing will ever beat the simplicity of using a console, turn on and play. "Oh but the performance and fidelity etc" atleast they have baselines and most of the time run agreeable with incredible fidelity
The lack of commitment to physical media, as much of a dying medium as it is, and exclusives kept me away from jumping into Xbox this gen. My PS5 and gaming laptop are still going strong, and while I'd be open to trying an Xbox handheld for the PCGPU convenience, I'll likely dip into Nintendo's next offering. Shame since Sony really needs that competition to keep them in check.
I might be the only one that does this but I have a PC in my study and Xbox in my living room. I use them them interchangeably depending on my mood; sometimes playing at the couch on my console just suits the mood better. Most of the games I play are on game pass and I enjoy the fact my saves transfer across platforms for most of the games I play. I couldn't care less if these games go to other platforms.
@@Nero_PR illusion? I might argue that with drm free games (easy to backup and preserve, fully playable offline) you have some degree of control. My PCs do not fully qualify an almost 8 years old laptop and steam deck. But if the console manufacturers do not convince me to buy their hardware next gen I’m considering going beck to PC (on which I started my gaming journey back in 1992).
If I buy a PlayStation I can get all of their exclusives plus all of Microsoft games, then what’s the point of owning an Xbox anymore if I get less games
The few that still remains are part of a cult, sadly. They will never wake up. Most of us already left last year when RedFall released and was a total Fck up (I'm part of that crowd. Got myself a Steam Deck OLED and haven't looked back ever since). And then many ex-fans took their sweet time and left only a year later when they started giving away SoT and Hi Fi Rush to Playstation (in exchange for NOTHING) and then getting rid of Tango Gameworks... It's over for the Xbox console.
I think Xbox had a good strategy in the beginning. - Massive online games like Minecraft, COD, WoW, Diablo are multiplatform. These games needs big install base to make money. So it doesn't make sense to make them exclusive. - High budget single player narrative games like Perfect Dark, Halo, Gears, Starfield, Indiana Johnes, Doom are exclusive. These games can bring people to platform so it make sense to make these games exclusive. - Smaller games like Pentiment, Ori are multiplatform. Nobody will buy a console or subscribe the gamepass because of these games, so it doesn't make sense to make them exclusive Releasing everything to all platform is basically killing the console business.
Been an Xbox guy since the 360 days. As someone who owned a PS5, Series X and a PC simultaneously, it became evident that keeping my Xbox around was unnecessary. I sold it not long after the realisation. As of right now, this is the first time in my adult life that I haven’t owned a Xbox, and I’m somewhat ashamed to say that I don’t miss it. I’d say that feeling alone is damning testament to how little value a Xbox can provide to a somewhat “hardcore” gamer like myself.
To be fair, I think a pack of cigarettes is pretty close to $1k down under. I hope you guys make at least $1 million a year because prices seem to be truly insane across the board.
It's always funny to read stuff like this. AUS is worth a lot less than USD so it's not that much more expensive than the US when you convert it (647 vs 599). Try living in Brazil or other "3rd world" country where it's actually over 1000 USD, along with a minimum wage of 1.38 USD/hour lol.
Maybe if Xbox didn't water down their 1st parties in to meteoric apathy and sacrificed them for the sake of 3rd parties, maybe they wouldn't in this situation, Metal Arms: Glitch in the System should of been Xbox's Rachet and Clank, it had a lot going for it since it was the first in the series and just like all the other original Xbox exclusives, they didn't get reinvestment enough for a sequel.
@@alexmanna6476 The insult to injury was that it got a sequel-bait teaser at the end which actually got me excited for the next game that never came, that's why I remember distinctly soo much.
@@imo098765 I guess it my fault for transitioning my 2 different points but I'm saying that Glitch was Xbox's opening to have a Rachet and Clank just as with a Oddworld could of been a Xbox franchise starting with Munch's Oddysee if they held on to it
Soooo what’s the point of even having an Xbox now…Like how are they going to sell this thing? Game Pass only getting more expensive, no guaranteed exclusives at all, Series S constantly holding the X back from getting games, nothing exciting on the horizon….. PlayStation hasn’t been having an amazing gen either compared to the PS4 era but damn Microsoft is letting them so easily take the win here it’s crazy.

I see a lot of people giving up on Xbox. I will still support Xbox as long as they keep making consoles and I'm looking forward to the next gen Xbox and fyi so I'm not called a fanboy I own PS5 and a Switch.
You got it backwards: it's Xbox that gave up on their people, not the other way around... So people are only going where it makes sense for them to go now.
Not concerned about exclusivity. Still gonna have games to play regardless of more going elsewhere. AND, I will be a buyer of the new console hardware whenever it comes out. I have old eyes that require glasses for small screens, so handheld isn’t in my pipeline. As long as Xbox doesn’t mess up Game Pass, then I have no worries, no concerns. (Never been a PS gamer, so there’s no “waiting for a game to go to PS for me). I’m content.
His talk is spot on, he's (allegedly) a gamer, but most of what he did drove xbox deeper into the ground. Two consoles within one generation, the convoluted "smart delivery", removal of the disc drive, now even on series x and more. The only good thing he achieved was the backwards compatibility.
Just very disappointed that they are clearly valuing money over fans now. Something PlayStation and Nintendo still manage to do. Just makes Xbox soulless. Its also just unfortunate that games like Halo Infinite and Starfield ended up not being the home runs Xbox desperately needed to keep the Xbox exclusive model alive. Xbox is clearly done taking risks.
Exclusives have historically been a major factor in selling consoles, but it has become increasingly clear that limiting games to a single console restricts a company's potential audience. Take Square Enix, for example; they appear to be moving away from console exclusivity as they have reported declining profits. By making games available on other platforms such as PlayStation, Nintendo, PC, and mobile devices, Xbox could reach millions of additional players. The gaming industry is increasingly leaning towards platform-agnostic experiences, and cloud gaming and subscription services like Xbox Game Pass benefit from being accessible on multiple devices. Microsoft has stated, "It's not as simple as just making great games anymore." While great games undoubtedly help sell consoles, they are not the sole factor. I believe Phil Spencer was referring to the bias many gamers have towards Xbox. Xbox has released some excellent games, yet they have not achieved the expected success. Even if they had a series of outstanding games, it wouldn't necessarily change media or gamer bias. Take Game Pass, for example; it offers the best value in gaming, but it only has around 34 million users. I believe that Xbox is pivoting away from console exclusives, which is the right direction for the brand. As a gamer, I love playing games and hate seeing exciting titles locked to a single device forever. Xbox is leading the industry into a new era of no more exclusives. Over time, this will benefit all gamers and companies. Larger communities will mean more friends to play with and potentially longer server lifespans. Developers will receive bigger budgets due to an increased audience. The hardware side will become insanely competitive as developers will need to provide incentives for why gamers should subscribe to one company over another. Consequently, Game Pass may offer even more bonuses. Embracing a multiplatform strategy ensures that Xbox remains relevant and can adapt to future changes in the gaming landscape. For gamers and Xbox fans, this could help keep services like Game Pass affordable. For instance, if Game Pass were available on PlayStation, it could easily add 100 million users to the ecosystem, covering potential losses and facilitating deals and acquisitions. Consider this quick calculation: 34 million users at £12.99 each generates £441,660,000. If Game Pass attracted 100 million active users across various platforms at a lower price of £10.99, it would generate £1,099,000,000, resulting in a significant profit of around £600 million. As gamers we need to be more open to change and Pivot away from tis narrative of my plastic box is better than yours
Fully agree! Ultimately, less exclusivity will benefit developers, allowing for better quality games, and more risk taking as they have higher chances of meeting expectations.

I just think Microsoft is a little early. PlayStation has a chokehold on the console market share and won't budge when it comes to multiplatform on other consoles. It took Sony years to open up to PC and even still its not day one like Xbox (I know Helldivers but that's the only one so far). It's hard to say but this could really backfire on Xbox. For example look at the Xbox One one of the main reasons it flopped was that it was always online, fast forward 10 years later always online is perfectly normal. Xbox still to this day hasn't fully recovered from the first years of Xb1.
A reasonable take. After becomming one of the biggest game publishers in the world, Microsoft has 0 interest in exlusivity. Narrowing down to 1 platform (also the one with the smallest customer base) will ony deminish their profits. Going multiplatform might not be good news for Xbox fans ( I would have picked ps5 myself if I knew it will come to that), but it is the only logical business direction for MS at the moment
On God if they do this I’m just going to sell my Xbox series X for a ps5 and I’m sure at least 25-30% of their fan base WILL do the same! What’s the point of owning one now?? - Sincerely a 20+ year dedicated Xbox fan
@ I’ve had game pass since day 1 of its launch brotha it doesn’t change anything! I … want… triple A…XBOX … EXCLUSIVES! And I want them to rival Sony and so does 80% of the fan base. Idk why Xbox can’t figure that shit out bruh! 🤦🏾♂️
@@kanight1Xbox really lost their footing in the last gen which was a disaster for them. This one isn’t much better so they’re changing their whole strategy to a 3rd party approach
I still don't see the problem here. Xbox is my preferred platform and the reason why it's my preferred isn't changing due to more of their titles being multiplat. Personally, the reason I've stuck with Xbox is their ecosystem and how's it's managed. That hasn't made me blind to how the absolute face plant of the Xbox One launch the Don Matrick headed, and how it devastated their position at the time. They began expanding beyond their ecosystem being housed strictly to the console since 2016 and steadily expanding on that has helped them and consumers. Xbox Play Anywhere was a game changing feature that is rarely brought up, combine that with Gamepass, and the influx of new titles being released and I couldn't be happier. I'm an Xbox gamer, my preferred platform is expanding, I have more flexibility on how and where I play, and my more and more titles are coming to Xbox. Xbox/Microsoft releasing titles on other platforms does nothing to harm Xbox players, more games is more games and we're getting more games. Alienating who plays those games is anticonsumer, dated, and as other major 3rd party publishers have finally gathered counter productitve to turning as much profit as possible.
Square is not selling. Even if they were selling, understand, Sony would never allow that they would step in and buy it. Hell I don’t even think the country of Japan would actually allow it.
@@oDiiJei it's extremely difficult for western companies to buy Japanese companies. Nevermind the history between Sony and SE and how deeply politics play a role in business in the East.

Here’s the problem the handheld that they’re talking about it’s not coming next year. They said it’s a future endeavor so we’re looking to maybe three years into the future. Sony is also going to announce another handheld 2 to 3 years into the future and that kills any likelihood of this handheld, making it being as profitable as they hope it would be because someone’s going to say, do I get the PlayStation handheld or the Xbox handheld and they will lean for the PlayStation handheld even if it comes out later, as long as they know that there will be a competitor Sony will win when it comes to consoles or handhelds. This is something that they needed to launch ASAP but they can’t afford to launch it ASAP because they have to get it right the first time and doing so in one year it’s not enough time to do so but it’s also enough time for the competition to catch up to you.
Yeah, they shouldn't have released the Series S and instead launch the Series S in handheld form 2-3 years into the generation. Maybe that's what MS is planning now. Launch one new console in 2026 and then the handheld in 2028-2029. Any handheld needs to able to play current games imo. If Sony releases their handheld that supposedly only plays ps4 games I think it will fail
I’m kind of surprised by people disappointed by this. I feel like this has been clearly the way we were going. I don’t have an Xbox anymore. Instead I play Xbox games elsewhere and I still enjoy them. Don’t really see a loss here anymore, maybe initially but it’s been years now.
@@GarudaintrudaConsoles are just one way to sell games, there’s no “giving up”. We’re not in the early 2,000’s anymore where the only way to play games is buying the specific hardware.

I dont think there was really a console war...ya, there were a few outspoken nutjobs...but for normal people, xbox was the place to go for shooters and online...and Sony was single player RPG focused. So people picked one....when xbox ruined gears, halo, and made low quality games.. it all shifted. You call it a console war...I call it a breaking point for the average consumers tolerance
To be honest, I don't mind Xbox games going to other platforms. But forza gears halo fable i don't know how I feel about that Going to other platforms, but it's whatever it's not gonna make me drop Xbox. It's still gonna be my main platform. While I enjoy my other platforms.
Question is, why buy 2 consoles when you can get all the games on one? If Microsoft releases Fable on PC and Playstation then you really don't need an xbox at all. Microsoft's strategies, for years, have been to make consumer facing stuff suck more. I think Matty is right, the whole fanbase is kinda going "meh, enshitification at work yet again." I'm sure Microsoft would love if fans were happy but Microsoft doesn't care about fans, they care about money.
Xbox going multi platform is a really bad thing, Sony can just increase their prices since they are the only console with exclusives, also, Microsoft shouldn't really buy any mother studios, they can't even manage the ones they have, it's useless m, if anything, they only make it worse, just look at cod, it's now filled with gamepass cheaters and still had the cancerous sbmm, not to mention their trash servers that they seem to ignore
I do think Xbox would be in much better shape if they had different rules concerning the series s/x consoles... I paid all this money to have the most powerful gaming console on the market where barely any games fully take advantage of the hardware because they have to " provide the same experience " on series s 🤷
Double whammy too.. Where PlayStation represents more of the console market, multiplatform games are getting more dev time dedicated to PS. Digital Foundry has shown many times that despite more power, series X games don't necessarily look better than their PS5 equivalent.
This is such a bittersweet moment. They've lacked the foresight like you said since the 360 gen really. They should've been fostering their 1st party all the way back then but they were skating by on 3rd party exclusives and exclusive DLC. They finally got in a place to be competitive and stopped. However they have said for YEARS now that the "console wars" are over and "they lost" and that they see Apple & Google as their competitors rather than Sony & Nintendo. I just hope they are finally delivering the quality of games we want. I hope their current studios all stay safe. I hope their multiplat, multiscreen, play anywhere tactics work. I hope this does invite more gamers into to ecosystem. I just think long time Xbox fans no longer trust that they will. If their messaging had been better like you said they could've pulled this off much more gracefully. With stronger messaging and branding they could've reduced the sting of this.
@barcster2003 I don't know about Japanese games. I know that I might go back to playing old video games or might be done with video because everything is too expensive. And there are no good games to play
I already decided I'm going PC for next gen. The hardware is only getting better and better with AMD, Nvidia and Intel all in an arms race for performance for the lower cost.
That's ... not exactly true. If you're talking CPUs, then sure there's an arms race. But AMD is no longer competing on the top end of GPUs. nVidia is what you get if you want a high end video card, and without competition they'll just overcharge you whatever they want.
Nvidia ain't in an arms race, their GPU's are an evident cut above the competition which is why their GPU's are so insanely expensive. Neither AMD nor Intel are serious competitors in the GPU nor AI market. There isn't really much of an arms race in the CPU sector anymore either, especially with the new 9000 series AMD CPU's which are far above the competition , expect their prices to start increasing.
@@D4C_LoveTrain1Exactly! My living room pc has still a 2080 and still runs almost everything on very high. Only have to downscale on the big ones like Cyberpunk

Forcing an xbox subscription on players just to play multiplayer is killing consoles. Gold used to be bad enough, now as gamepass its awful. It moved me over to PC. I only play single player cheap sale games on xbox now or the one free to play multiplayer game I have. They have no exclusives and no incentive to prioritise them.
On one hand it’s good that they’re getting rid of exclusives but on the other hand God exclusives give you reason to buy the consul like with no exclusives. You have no reason to buy your consul. People are just gonna switch over the PlayStation or PC.

the beginning of the end was Xbox focusing too much on Kinect, while Sony was building great exclusives. Sell your Xbox while it's still with something....
In a Windows world, Xbox was supposed to bring Microsoft into the living room. That strategy started to work with X360 but then smartphones changed the world. In a post-windows world Microsoft had to re-assess their strategy. They appointed the business services guy as their CEO and they focused on business markets. Within this strategy, Xbox was repositioned and wasnt intended to be profitable. It was supposed to be a way for Microsoft as a brand to stay engaged with consumers. The Xbox One "not just games" focus backfired but Team xbox's renewed commitment to gaming through the many exclusives started to bring back hearts and minds. However, Microsoft Leadership clearly didnt trully value Xbox within their corporate strategy. As soon as other segments started to be less profitable, Xbox had to sacrifice their long-term focus on consumer engagement for short-term financial gains. Maybe the thinking is that Microsoft as a publisher can do both: engage with consumers and be profitable. I doubt it as this is a slap in the face of the consumers they have been engaging with so far.
None of this is new. They literally told us all of this when they did their "podcast", Phil Spencer and them. These three for now, see how it goes for later. They told us already and fanboys swore they didn't, trying to take it any other way possible.
I gave up on xbox 6 months ago. I'll still play their exclusives if they come to playstation, but I really couldn't care less about the Game Pass model or their consoles anymore
We went from, "We are testing the waters with just four games". To, "We are putting these games but will still have exclusives". To now, "No red lines with games that can come to other consoles". I mean, the sales must be great on other consoles. But, the brand dies and something is missed when it just becomes a "Game Pass box".
I'm having an awesome time playing Xbox games on my One X, my powerful gaming laptop and streaming on my Android phone and tablet with controller. I am playing on the couch, on a monitor, in bed and outdoors. This is amazing ❤
Personally, I prefer what gaming used to be. Each console had a distinct ecosystem, and now everything is the same now, no real competition. I'm going to PC anyway. Will be skipping the next Xbox. Those 360 are long gone
@16:42 This is why y'all should never listen to Phil Spencer. In the first quote, he says Xbox has never been more healthy with growth in cloud, PC, and consoles. In the very next quote, he talks about needing to grow the market. So, which is it, Phil? Is the market growing, as you stated in the first quote, or does it need to grow, as you said in the second quote? Seriously, this guy doesn't know what he's talking about, and that's why Xbox has been on a downward spiral since Phil took over. Don Mattrick didn't destroy Xbox; it was Phil Spencer who did that. Phil doesn't know gaming. He doesn't know how the industry runs or how to be successful in it. I doubt he even cares. And by the way, Phil's talking about, "We're not going to grow the market with $1,000 consoles". Phil, you couldn't grow your own Xbox market with a $300 console (Xbox Series S) that was frequently on sale for $250. You have no credibility here. Let's hear from Nintendo about growing the market and bringing in new players. Do you see their sales numbers, Phil? I don't know why anyone would listen to this guy. All he's done is talk, talk, talk and try to lead the industry from a distant last place.
As soon as he started taking cheap shots at PlayStation, PS5 Pro sold 80,000 units in 6 days 😂, PS5 Pro was never forced on anything, Gamers has always had options, it just we just choose PlayStation over their products, it very simple, Phil Spencer face doesn't even sell his own products from a company he actually works for, his mouth doesn't know when to stop, because that what narcissistic people do, they victimized themselves, an they embodies themselves as self righteous, Self Centered, an love attention tremendously, the way he talk, his bodies languages, his eyes twitching around, it because he nervous, his lies spin in a circle, he now contradict himself within the same sentences, it sad honestly, Microsoft still running him around with Children Gamer clothing on trying to sell the products, the world change, he just trap in a time capsule repeat 🔂, PlayStation and Nintendo get free marketing from him, an they don't even sign his paycheck, dude weird, his Fanboy ain't gon follow him after he leaves Xbox, just like Nintendo Filsa me, nobodies follow him to his Gamestop Job position 😂

Why does any of you honestly care about exclusivity? I buy XBOX cause I find their consoles superior, the UI and storefront better, the prices are more affordable and the controller is peak. On top of that, I also prefer the feel of the XBOX in comparison to PS, PS feels like the home of the casual, XBOX feels like the home of the game. And not in the devaluing sense for PS, it's just the vibe, like calling one mainstream and saturated and the other niche and warmer if that makes sense. Let the games go to PS, more people can play them then, nice. Bring PS games over to us, why not. Nintendo can do whatever, bad systems, bad games, bad company, they can stay in their corner for all I care.
The only thing Xbox has left to offer now to keep me on Xbox is being consumer friendly... so far it's not. Proprietary storage expansion, pushing everything to subscription, charging more for online play instead of taking it away, etc. If Xbox has the better and more affordable console, with no online gaming fees, then great. But if not, they literally have nothing to offer that Sony wouldn't do as well, and more.
I'll continue to buy Xbox consoles when they come out (if it's actually good) But this latest news feels like it could be the last generation for them if they have another medicore console.
Ive been an Xbox 'fanboy' since the original, my fav consoles by far, but Im starting to regret buying a Series S. Ive probably spent thousands on my digital library and now they have no exclusives going into the future. Im thinking about ditching them come next gen unless they make a handheld (hybrid?) that is a lot better than Switch 2.
Oh boy....as soon as the end of the year looks 🔥 with STALKER 2 next week and Indiana shortly after.....we get hit with the DOOM & GLOOM! Woohoo Btw, STALKER 2 has been my most anticipated game all year and I grabbed the ultimate edition. Im so fucking stoked 😎
@DraculaTepes420 indeed it is, but the developers, after everything they have gone through deserve it. Plus like I said, it's my most anticipated game. The documentary "War Game" is excellent btw, recommend the watch.
Sony should just build a ps4 in a handheld form factor. The library is huge, people already have ps4 digital libraries, which would incentivise sales of the device. Having the device, people would buy even more games digitally.
Only one hardware maker is truly making big money that’s Nintendo. Sony go back and look at their return on investment. They told us it’s less than 6% and that ain’t hitting. Sony got to figure out a way to get a much higher return on investment and I don’t see how they do it not in today’s market.
Maybe they're going to do what was in that Insomniac leak? It said they were going to split Spiderman 3 into 2 or 3 games. So instead of one 50-60 hour game make it 3x 20 hours or so spread out over a generation. I like the idea in principle if each game is $40-50.
I don't know how Microsoft, one of the largest tech and software companies in the world, cannot create a half decent PC Xbox app. I've had to reinstall windows 3 entire times now thanks to their god awful app that would just break and could not be fixed even after I tried literally every fix I could find online, the only fix was to reinstall windows.

I hope you don't think this is a good thing. Sony is going to become so anti consumer going forward. It's actually scary.
Nobody will buy a console or subscribe the gamepass because of these games, so it doesn't make sense to make them exclusive
Releasing everything to all platform is basically killing the console business.

I'm guessing this is partially an agressive reaction of not being able to get out of 3rd place.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Only Xbox believes exclusives are bad. Result. Brand died and now verything is an xbox because nothing really is. SAD!

Microsoft's strategies, for years, have been to make consumer facing stuff suck more. I think Matty is right, the whole fanbase is kinda going "meh, enshitification at work yet again."
I'm sure Microsoft would love if fans were happy but Microsoft doesn't care about fans, they care about money.
It changes nothing because this is what they’ve been telling us for years.
Loving that Falcons shirt, my dude. =)

@Danceofmasks yeah, but still better ecosystem than consoles right now. Price of next gen is going to be crazy.
@@Danceofmasksbruh, not every PC gamer is running $1000 GPUs 😭
If you want something stronger than consoles you'll only need a $300 GPU.
@@D4C_LoveTrain1Exactly! My living room pc has still a 2080 and still runs almost everything on very high. Only have to downscale on the big ones like Cyberpunk
For me handheld gaming has changed everything for me. I’m more than happy to wait for something that’s a true step up from my steam deck oled and would consider it over a next gen console at that point
Microsoft Gaming is here
This is the reason why I sold my series x and my old ps5 to upgrade to the ps5 pro.
same
Xbox has always been garbage. Amazing it took you half your life to realize it. lol.
LMAO, even.
When you own and play on all four platforms, information like this doesn't actually affect you. 😏
Yes it do because your 4th platform was a waste of money 😂, stop lying
@@typethings4624
That's not correct at all. I'm getting *my* money's worth. 😁
Halo CE came to PC in 2003, have you guys been getting outraged by things every year for the past 20+ years?
Losing 23 years in Gaming, getting destroyed, wouldn't you?
Wouldn't an Xbox handheld just be a laptop with windows on it?....
No!
If an Xbox series S could be used as a PC that would be the dream. The cheapest, most powerful PC around.
On one hand it’s good that they’re getting rid of exclusives but on the other hand God exclusives give you reason to buy the consul like with no exclusives. You have no reason to buy your consul. People are just gonna switch over the PlayStation or PC.
Loved your content for year but recently your titles are getting more and more clickbaity. I know you have to work the algorithm but sometimes I’m just skipping your videos now because I don’t know if there is actually SHOCKING NEWS! Or just a minor news update on something.
He's been like that for a long time at this point
Yea I used to watch this dude content too, until this year .
Man, I really hope they bring the Fable series to PS. I would buy the original trilogy immediately, for any price.
the beginning of the end was Xbox focusing too much on Kinect, while Sony was building great exclusives.
Xbox has been stumbling for almost 15 years
None of this is new. They literally told us all of this when they did their "podcast", Phil Spencer and them. These three for now, see how it goes for later. They told us already and fanboys swore they didn't, trying to take it any other way possible.
They were saying it even before then. 😂😂😂
Add to that my Quest 3 and MacBook Air. :)
Personally, I prefer what gaming used to be. Each console had a distinct ecosystem, and now everything is the same now, no real competition. I'm going to PC anyway. Will be skipping the next Xbox. Those 360 are long gone
@16:42
This is why y'all should never listen to Phil Spencer.
It truly is amazing he has managed to keep his job for so many years the brand is literally on life support right now and it been obvious for years he didn’t have a clue what he was doing
Dam, yah take gaming too serious like it hit you personally😂. All I care about is having good games to play. PC all the way!
hi Matty!
I'm pretty new here and I just wanted to thank you for the good vibes 💕
Im not even that interested in all the gaming news, haha - but it's just always a pleasure to watch your videos and have a calm informing chat with you ~ I'm also learning a lot!
take care! 💕
I'll be here lurking, haha 🥰
Can't wait to play halo on my new ps5 pro
Hahaha 😂😂😂 Keep Dreaming....
Make no mistake, every single Xbox first party game is coming to the PlayStation without doubt. Like you, looking forward to playing the definitive console versions on my PS5 Pro.
@@chrisabraham3830 Nothing to dream about when the boss man himself confirm says is possible.
for sure, that would be the only good ip on that $700 piece of hardware
@ItsjustPrentiss lol he never comfirmed ALL Xbox games are getting ported.....lol Still a case by case basis. 😆 🤣 😂 Maybe another 2 in a year or so.
(sigh) Tencent. I fully expect that someday Matty is gonna wake up in his bed and Tencent is gonna be there and offer to become a partner in his gaming company.
I saw it coming after Starfield didn’t drastically increase Xbox hardware sales. So it’s still possible for Starfield on PS5 which is cool.
the game is shit
Put gamepass on ps already stop the foreplay jesus
Ps does not want Gamepass. Please God no. Look what gamepass did to Xbox. Keep those trash games over there. 😂😂😂
I have all 3 consoles and I’ll drop Xbox
The only things that makes me worry is the slow development of xbox handheld. The rest is pretty much expected.
Gears, halo, forza and Fable are not going to Playstation and Nintendo
😂😂😂 Watch.
@ lol its not happening trust me im an engineer.
Matty’s from ATL?!? RISE UP BABY
He grew up and lives in New York, but is a Falcons fan.
Oh boy....as soon as the end of the year looks 🔥 with STALKER 2 next week and Indiana shortly after.....we get hit with the DOOM & GLOOM!
Woohoo
Btw, STALKER 2 has been my most anticipated game all year and I grabbed the ultimate edition. Im so fucking stoked 😎
It's on gamepass tho lol
@DraculaTepes420 indeed it is, but the developers, after everything they have gone through deserve it. Plus like I said, it's my most anticipated game. The documentary "War Game" is excellent btw, recommend the watch.
@@doxthafox1138 Fair enough
I would be so hyped if fable comes to PlayStation. That was one series that made me want to get a Xbox.
Maybe start utilizing the studios you already bought before starting to buy new ones again. It's getting pretty pathetic.
Sony is doing fine. They just had a finance call and all numbers were up. Stop listing to or spreading bullcrap.
PC & Handhelds are the future!
If you have a portal you can play all your launchers on there.
If you know, you know😉
Thank you Phil Spencer for destroying Xbox and all the years I have into this console
Long time Xbox first fam. I’m all for them going 3rd party. I think it will help them develop better games. I’ll play on my PC or handheld and own a PS5. It’s the best of all gaming worlds. Who cares what box it is we play from
Sounds like Xbox is going to be more like the parent company...why focus so hard on selling hardware at a loss, when you can just sell software. Xbox (Microsoft) just wants there software (games) on every device possible. It's not that difficult to understand
Your not noting the giant cut they get on selling third party software that will dissappear. Madden. Fifa. Fortnight
Lol yeah I’m sure Xbox has soooo many great “Exclusives” that they can move to software only so easily.
I didn't say it was going to work, it's just a very Microsoft like strategy lol and they'll have some sort of "xbox" device of somekind. @AliFOJ5
@@dark_winter8238 Good point. but they will still have some sort of "XBOX" devices, handhelds and a pc/console hybrid with, and I'd be curious to see if wow subs alone would cover that loss.
How can you say the Xbox PC app is awful? It works. My only compliment is the lack of cloud save support for the games on there
