My best friend can play this with no flaws. Every time I hear the song it takes me back to a memory of when she played it for me when she finally learned it and told me to listen to her in the music room when she played I felt honestly moved and oddly nostalgic in a way it was truly beautiful will never forget that moment. I miss her and and would love to hear her play one more time and will try not to cry this time as she plays haha
After a long time, I have finished learning this song. I was only able to learn six notes (that’s twelve counting the other hand) at a time-I made sure to play everything perfectly up to that point. I was unable to practice frequently because I have my piano in another city (where my parents live); I study and work away.
It has been so much time and I feel so happy, but I also feel a little sad because opening this video was always great.
The song is amazing and beautiful.
I plan on playing this in one of my family’s favorite restaurants. The pianist over there became a friend and he suggested I learned this song; I can’t wait to show him.
I thought it would be super hard to achieve, but one just needs to stay committed. In the end, one realizes that the body and the piano become one and the song plays by itself...

Guys it looks really hard but if you just start with one hand separately, you’ll realise both hands follow a pattern. Then you just have to put them together 😄

Exactly! Recently started piano, been playing guitar for 6-7yrs. And I can defo confirm that if you just study the left hand pattern and the right hand, you will see a repetitive pattern across 3 or 4 chords and none notes are played solo, every note is harmonized! Gl everyone!
If only there was a way to mute the left or right hand on RUclips so as to focus on learning each hand separately

Moonlight has a trick to it but u can get it down by just playing it over and over and over and then once u have the feel it comes naturally. The starting arpeggios anyway
I am learning to play this from sheet music, it's easier to see the different motifs and how they are repeated. Still hard on my brain though

Okay, i haven't played seriously for 5 years now and this is the first song ill learn. It's so fuckin hard. It took me 3 hours to learn to first 7 seconds. Sooo, by this rate ill know the song perfectly in 87 hours. :|

if you think about it 87 hours is not so long , if you practice for 3 hours a day, you could technically learn it in 29 days / less than the average month. It took me longer to learn Fur Elise, so that's not too bad. Also various parts of the piece are easier to learn than the first 7 seconds, so don't worry about it. Just take your time, have patience and just practice :)

This is a quite simple song... but it’s hard to play because of the coordination... like trying to brush your teeth with your non dominant hand... you get me?
The coordination is super easy, the notes in both hands are being played simultaneously
Mr Chess Master yeah I know that makes it harder for me because they’re so similar but played in different orders in the fingering my hands want to go the same way hahah, when the hands are really different from each other is easiest for me
El acento en toda la pieza es a corcheas, cada dos, y hay que destacar las voces. Hay dos voces en cada mano, formandose muchas síncopas y movimiento continuo hasta el final. No es nada fàcil. En este video los acentos no estªn correctos.

@@vigilant3263 Bellas lullaby is different. It was written by the guy who made the music for the movies. Pattinson was going to write bellas lullaby but they scratched that. not sure why because bellas lullaby isn't even that good. seems very thrown together.

@@xtremedubstep89 i learned this about a year ago and it was the first song i learned that used 2 hands and i was so not use to using 2 hands but learning the notes with each hand separately then combining it together is what i did and it made it a whole lot easier

Chronos it turns out that my piano isn't a sufficient size so as to accommodate all the keys I'm going to need.But other than that,I'm doing good well so far in learning it.
Agreed, once you have the momentum with the pattern it kind of 'unlocks' the general flow of it.

Looks hard, but if u play it it's pretty easy, i can play the whole song in just 1 week.... Its Easy because the hand movements are the same each time so u won't forget

@@denizturgut7684 bee practicing it for 11 months and am not that far yet XD. I read an article that recommended this as a "nice sounding, easy song". I've played a few others that are actually easy, and this is definitely not one of them. it's good to set your goals high though! "a thousand years" by christina perri, "my heart will go on" celine dion, and "the entertainer" by scott joplin, are some examples of songs I would consider actually easy.
Honestly if you can read sheet music, use that. I can play this song and I learnt it from sheet, I find these videos are harder to learn from than reading sheet music

First of all, sorry for my english, I'm French. Honestly I think that it's completely possible if you spend a lot of time on it. This piece is hard but not impossible. It's harder than Nuvole bianche bc of the speed and the pattern but if u learn hand separately I think you can do this without problem. When you'll know both hands well, u just have to put it together :) good luck!

I first heard this in 1995 and I remember feeling goosebumps the first time I heard it! This piece alone was the reason I begged my parents for piano lessons. I learned to play this from ear at like 9yrs old and that is not one word of a lie. Now I didn't have the left hand completely correct but I was not far off at all. I didn't realise until I finally got my hands on the manuscript when I was 20.

I knew this once. Eleven years later, I can play again....and I want to re-learn this one so badly my hands have piano itch.
I'm so embarrassed to say this, but I was so determined to learn this song (obviously before this video!!) that I put on a headset, downloaded the song and picked at the piano until I figured it out... I did it in two weekends. Yea, I'm weird, but determined. That's all that counts.

This is an AMEB grade 5 piano piece so it shouldn't be too hard to find yourself. This song is also pretty learnable if you put time into it.
