Even the funkycat that just entered in the UK is the 6th safest tested car in NCAP history across all sizes. Your comments were true 10 years ago. Not anymore.

I can't wait till LIDAR integration gets better, It's quite intrusive here and looks afterthought-y for what is otherwise a good looking design. But it was similiar with early front radar in the early 2010s. Same goes for the Volvo EX90 roof hump that looks like a taxi sign.
Looking forward to the upgraded XPeng P7 with LiDARs. If the XPeng P5 can almost match the Arcfox with only 2 LiDARs and 1/10 the computational power, the new P7 should be able to do wonders.

The vehicles that are sold for real outside of China are also at least as safe as any other European car. Of course much safer than US cars which do not even get 5 Stars in the NCAP Crash tests. All others like Wuling/GM, Weltmeister, Suda and many others are not beeing exported by the manufacturers and would not get more than 2-3 stars. Yes: Those are really dangerous!

MKBHD had a recent video in his Model S where he recorded an uncut video of the car driving him to work. It fucked up a few times but he showed all of those incidents in his video. Something tells me the Chinese government wouldn't allow such a video depicting the imperfections in Chinese products.

Chinese EV brands are popping out like from nowhere, its crazy. Many of them have potential to become worldwide sellers.
And the majority will go out of business leaving their customers with nowhere to get parts and service.
