    Chinese EV brands are popping out like from nowhere, its crazy. Many of them have potential to become worldwide sellers.

      They always have their own competing products. They're buying bargain assets, not product lines.
      You completely fail to understand how large companies work.

      @@jasonwang4213 Tesla's build quality is shite. You can tell it's not a legacy car manufacturer. People only buy them in the UK to say they own a Tesla, now they're everywhere they'll soon drop in popularity especially considering their much higher prices than other EV's.

      Looking at cars is almost like looking at a woman and being in lust you have to make sure that it’s a safety precaution because a lot of these Chinese market do not do crash test you’re just a dummy driving it 😂

The reason they don't come to the West is lack of infrastructure such as battery swap etc. In terms of safety, all the recent Chinese cars that entered Europe via Sweden, Norway etc have some of the highest EuroNCAP on record. Even the funkycat that just entered in the UK is the 6th safest tested car in NCAP history across all sizes. Your comments were true 10 years ago. Not anymore.

    I can't wait till LIDAR integration gets better, It's quite intrusive here and looks afterthought-y for what is otherwise a good looking design. But it was similiar with early front radar in the early 2010s. Same goes for the Volvo EX90 roof hump that looks like a taxi sign.

    Looking forward to the upgraded XPeng P7 with LiDARs. If the XPeng P5 can almost match the Arcfox with only 2 LiDARs and 1/10 the computational power, the new P7 should be able to do wonders.

    If they keep churning out handsome, well equipped and reasonably priced cars they will take over the world. I care not one tiny bit for half-assed autopilot software that is more stressful than driving yourself. People seem to think 'self driving' is not far off when the reality is far less rosy.

    China now center of Automobile industry bcz they can produce quantity,quality and in affordable manner . People grown in new generation - no one has enthusiasm on brands ...people are ready to accept chinees brands ... I visited Dubai n Qatar and there are lots of chinees brands cherry , Geely , haval , GW ...etc

      The problem is you didn't do your homework before saying that.
      You really think they build such a high tech vehicle with auto driving but didn't consider about the safety feature and test during the production process....

      Nonense. You must look at Polestar, BMW/Geely, VW, Mercedes, Volvo, Nio, Ora/GWM, XPeng, Hongqi. The vehicles that are sold for real outside of China are also at least as safe as any other European car. Of course much safer than US cars which do not even get 5 Stars in the NCAP Crash tests.
      All others like Wuling/GM, Weltmeister, Suda and many others are not beeing exported by the manufacturers and would not get more than 2-3 stars. Yes: Those are really dangerous!

    Always find the videos interesting. I am wondering how much of the self-driving fails are cut out of these videos so Red China doesn't look bad. MKBHD had a recent video in his Model S where he recorded an uncut video of the car driving him to work. It fucked up a few times but he showed all of those incidents in his video. Something tells me the Chinese government wouldn't allow such a video depicting the imperfections in Chinese products.

      So I guess Ethan cut a deal with "Red China" by only showing one driving assist failure on video for all the world to see, and then verbally describe another incident, but they must have covered up the other 59 incidents where the car drove through 3 store fronts and ran over 12 pedestrians including 2 babies!
