This is one of my all time fave planes!! Mine has had 3 different power systems and its handled all of them with ease!! Got it up to over 130mph with the current set up using all FMS stuff too 😜😜😜 Remember to use full flaps to get off the ground on grass.
Nice landing! I was debating between this and the FMS Yak 130 and ended up going with the Yak which has also been fantastic. Kinda couldn’t have gone wrong either way it looks like 😂

Nice Jet! Took a while to rotate, was the 4000 all the way back? Did you hit book cg?or does it need better aoa to rotate quicker i.e some mod on front leg?
It's because he didn't use any flaps on takeoff, has nothing to do with the larger battery or AoA or needing any type of mods. Had my FMS F18 for 2 years now and this thing wants flaps to get airborne even on pavement; if you are trying to fly off grass and not on a hard surface it will take forever to hit Vr. And this is the V2 version of the plane with the more powerful 3060-1900Kv inrunner instead of the 2860-1850 on the V1. And as you saw, even with more powerful motor it takes half a day to rotate if you don't use your flaps. But when you use them, it's a different story. Depending on how you have your throws set with your personal preference, even the V1 will get off the ground in a small amount of space.

Yours definitely faster than mine was, It took a while to rotate, mine always took a bit to rotate off asphalt too. 👍

The Yak130 is a better flyer and more forgiving the F18 Flys very well fast but landings can be tricky

Cg was a little more back due to the 4000mah it calls for a 3300mah..lightweight Flys better and rotates easier.its perfect the way it is stock really
