      Phil Daru are you his strength and conditioning coach??

    • @bremenfan29
      @bremenfan29 5 лет назад +1

      Phil Daru no, it’s not that. It’s important to have a strength and conditioning coach for cross training and injury prevention. I had my shares of injuries from ballet dancing: ankles, back, and shoulder injuries. S&C helped tremendously along with PT. Now I work as a nurse and I use the exercise techniques to prevent injuring myself.

    I think all Dustin really needs to do is have around 5 high level dagestani wrestlers go at him back-to-back for 5 rounds

    • @fighter_pilot
      @fighter_pilot 5 лет назад +32

      I agree. But Distin will never win a wrestling match against Khabib. I think takedown defense should be his main focus, followed up by how to counter a failed takedown attempt with agressive offense. Either win the fight by KO/TKO, or by decision. Stay agressive. Be the alpha the entire fight.

    • @fighter_pilot
      @fighter_pilot 5 лет назад +12

      Well from now on, it's Yoel's and Colby's job to attack DP like Khabib in practice. Hold him down like an anaconda, and let DP feel the struggle. This is important for the mental part of what's coming.

    • @aurochsxx5932

      Dustin needs to go all 5 rounds in good condition, Khabib starts to shoot from far once exhaustion sets in which could then be a exploited by a flying knee, power punches are there for Dustin all day if he can make it 5 rounds without completely gassing out

    I really hope that hypoxic training pays off. I was under the impression training that way doesn't affect cardiovascular adaptation, it's purely a biochemical response to produce more red cells that makes the difference. But obvs a lot of fighters seem to think otherwise. If anyone has specific sources on studies that go further into it I'd be super interested.

    • @PhilDaruStrong
      @PhilDaruStrong  5 лет назад

      Anguel Roumenov Bogoev goal of Repeated Sprint Hypoxic training is to increase the recoverability between bouts. This has been studied extensively if you look into RSH training for repeated power sports you will see that the participants (soccer players) increased there ability recover through Phosphocreatine re-synthesis and increases mitochondrial density allowing for a better overall cardiovascular function

    Y'all be surprised. This one will be a masterclass of boxing used in today's mma. With Colby Covington they have a similiar fighting style to mimic Khabibs constant pressure grappling style, plus Colby is phyically just as strong if not even stronger than Khabib.So Dustin knows and felt, what's coming. I don't think that they have someone with the educated hands of Dustin over @ AKA. His boxing is to me the best right now, when it comes to punch variety, angles, distance control and power. Dustin's jab will dictate the pace and, Khabib will be simply outboxed for the majority of the fight.

    Hey coach Phil. When I used to do boxing we was drilled hard for an hour. Recovery was hard in between workouts. This training seems more sub maximal but with a few bursts of high intensity thrown in. Is this correct? I read somewhere that gsp never trained maximally much apart from few week before a fight. I ask as I'm a bit older now and couldn't recover from running around like a mad man 5 days a week but I would like to get back into some form of self defence. Thanks

      rozzer I run a form of conjugate until about 4-3 weeks out then switch over to higher speed and explosive work to enhance sport readiness. This allows for the athlete to not overtrain. Each day is regulated in case of unexpected fatigue through the other demands of the skills practices.

    I may be subjective bc of Coach Daru and DP but I don't see Khabib having weaknesses to exploit in Dustin so he might try to go to a decision with this fight.
