SvR10 was a HUGE step up from 09. Enhanced create a wrestler, introduction of create a storyline, create a titantron. Playing the games year-to-year, it was a huge leap. SvR11 just built on that Also personal bias, SvR10 was the last game my childhood friends played before they fell outta wrestling
SVR2010 was very special to me because it was the first wrestling game that had that AAA feel. You got to pre-order it and I remember this game would have “Brought To You By” ads on the loading screen. The debut of story designer mode and community creations gave this game a high replay value. The RTWMs were even better with HBK probably being the best. A couple things I didn’t like about this game was that they took away intergender wrestling and it was the first game where they limit you to counter everything down to the right trigger. It was almost impossible to counter finishers because of that. It was the last wrestling to have licensed soundtrack for awhile too. Skillet, Trivium, and Adelitas Way never got old to listen to. I really hope 2k brings back Story Designer someday. That shit just had so much replay value when you were done with RTWM.

I'm one of the new subs. I bought a ps2 a couple of months ago to play my old games. I've beaten shut your mouth, svr, and svr06 so far. I love these videos.
It is not one of my favorites in the saga but I appreciate this game, the main menu with great songs especially rock songs, the road to WrestleMania with the created superstar (I created myself) if I remember correctly if you beat Vince in a gauntlet match you could humiliate him by making him dance with a chicken head lol and the Royal Rumble, man I love that they will add special entrances to the wrestlers instead of everyone running to the ring, also the fact that the wrestlers were thrown out of the ring they would complain and then leave instead of disappearing. These last details are what this game was the first to have and was very innovative for its time.
You should do Legends of Wrestlemania, that game has an amazing roster but the lack of Macho Man is such a gaping hole in the roster. Plus dumb omissions like the SvR 2009 DLC legends (Bushwhackers, Vader, Doink, Earthquake) not being transferable into the game and the lack of Ricky Steamboat despite him wrestling at that years Wrestlemania weeks after the game's release.
I don't agree with what you say at the start of your video regarding SmackDown vs Raw 2010. On the contrary, this is a very good opus and which was a big improvement for the series compared to SvR 08 and SvR 09 which were very disappointing. It brought a lot of new features than the two previous opus. SmackDown vs Raw 2010 this is my favorite opus with SvR 11.

I would honestly put SvR 2010 above the og SvR, 2008 & 2009, and is one of my favorites overall in the series. Had a lot of spice of life updates to the series. Updated Rumble match, championship scramble, paint tool, superstar threads, create a story, create a finisher, updated CAW mode. There’s honestly a lot to like about the game imo, but the roster is probably the main thing I can agree with being decently weak. But I would dare say that 2009’s roster was worse. All my 2010 thoughts aside, these are all really great picks for DLC for SvR 2010! I find it weird that the game didn’t have much DLC, when even SvR 2009, the first in the series to do downloadable content had more.

I bought svr11 the day it came out just to play as McIntyre sheamus and to play as miz without the awful shorts lol. I stayed up all night smoking weed with my mate the night before so we could go down at 9 am and get it from gamestop. Got it came back to his place and we passed out before even playing a match. Fun times.
I’m not really sure as to why they exclude wrestlers in these games look at S vs R 2008. WWE had a lot of great talent and I felt like a good portion of the WWE roster missed out that year especially on the ECW brand something that kind of made me think why

A lot of these “rookies” (as we called them) just didn’t feel like they were anything special to kids my age at the time. I’d argue it was a big reason for WWE losing more viewers around the time because instead of building up the guys we wanted to see grow since 04-06 they had these guys that basically debut the same year and got pushed right out the gate. Basically a lot of this could’ve been fixed if they just built them up more on TV instead of forcing them into the spotlight right away. I do agree though adding these characters to the game would’ve highlighted them so much more.
