The definition of colonization is as follows: "The action or process of settling among and establishing control over the indigenous people of an area." Italians neither settled in Ethiopia in numbers, nor did they establish control as their 5 years of occupation of Addis was marred by continuous armed rebellion throughout the country. Eritrea on the other hand was most certainly an Italian colony.
