    I love this piece. It affirms the idea that motorcycles can be a vehicle for good. A foot in the door to meet others, start conversations, and see more of our world in a freer and more immersive manner. We ALL need to do things to broaden our community and our minds. People rarely hate people they have a civil conversation with, especially if they're both motorcyclists.

      @@storiesofbike It does look a bit like hooliganism (not as much as 1:23 does - which is hooliganism). He's perfectly right to be in that state of mind. Given the context is quite small for people outside of the US. The world does not spin around the 3th world country that is the US.

    • @LanceEJones
      @LanceEJones 4 года назад +3

      Hooliganism? Which part of the photo makes you feel that way? Because my shirt is off? Because my face is covered? Because I'm standing on my motorcycle?
      My shirt is off because as a child, I couldn't run in my own neighborhood without one. My father didn't want my neighbors (predominantly white), to call the police on me. My face is covered because we are in a pandemic. I stand on the motorcycle because I knew it would be effective in drawing attention.
      Or do you bring up hooliganism for another reason...?

    Another nice piece, Cam. Although, I wish it was longer so we could have learned more about Lance, his interest in bikes, why he chose the 1200 Scrambler, etc. It really is a shame that in 2020, we still have people (apparently some of whom posted here) who have a problem with someone because of the color of their skin. Honestly, who hell even has the time and energy anymore to hate?

All of this makes you leave? Because a bike allowed a man to get around and discover his home town and what's currently happening in it? Stay and watch it again, you might learn a bit or two. • @storiesofbike
      @storiesofbike  4 года назад +11

      Showing the protest isn't a positive thing. It's a result of hurt and frustration. The black community try to do the right thing and good folks can only take so much before that hurt manifests itself into protest. You should see it as a reminder that work needs to be done to bring people together, not as a sign that your country is dividing.
