The guitarist is Kerry King from Slayer. The Beasties all play instruments, but Kerry King is on a whole other level.
My god. I was listening and was like My GAWD who the hell played the solo for this song. I never ever thought to look it up when I was younger and I'm a pretty big Slayer and Kerry King fan. Google just blew my mind like 35 years later.
This was the Beastie's earlier years when they mixed punk rock with rap. They did their own thing despite a ton of criticism, and everyone is thankful for it

I’m pretty sure Adrock found/made most of the beats. I saw someone say once in an interview that MCA was the heart of this band, Mike D was the brain/voice making the record deals etc, and Adrock was the music.
