I like the anti-reflective treatment on the addiesdive sapphire crystal.. like the cream color of the indexes which contrast more on the dial

@@bobmarky I thought Addiesdive was the winner here because the two watches seem very similar but the Steeldive is much more expensive. I may be wrong though.
@@adk7962 Yes, the price difference is not that high. In this case, I thought Steeldive would be better value for money.
I would love to see a video of modding an Addiesdive Puck. There is only one video on the RUclipss from years ago, that I can find, that show how to unscrew the crystal on a Puck.
The puck was easier than I thought. All those small screws on the bezel are fake! You only have to remove the crystal by a ball (Opening clockwise). That's literally it :D
you can not judge by simple look you have to wear some time, my all addiesdive bezels paint faded or discolored ( inclusive this watch) after a couple of months , and the quality of all components of steeldive has always been very decent, i have both and steeldive deserves the price.
Bezel paint is very annoying issue, but both companies have this problem with lumed bezels. My Addies Sumo and Steeldive Tuna both turned quite quickly grey and barely glowing bezels while non lumed bezel Paganis are fine or have small darker spots after a couple years. My Addies Puck is 4 months old and good so far, but Steeldive GMT got grey in this time.
Hm.. Yeah, I've noticed that the lume color is kind of faded on my puck. Now it looks yellowish a bit
€20 for a very nice clasp with on-the-fly adjustment, and the Addiesdive Puck is an incredible value.

Also in this addiesdive is definitely the better option i think. unless you have money to throw away and raelly want the white lume and nicer bracelet

I didn’t even know that Steeldive has the Puck model. I have the Addiesdive version and I love it. I’ve tried to open the case and swap the dial but it was impossible 😅

I know that my question is not directly linked to the video, but I'll put it here, since it's the latest content. And I would appreciate it if you could respond with a little more background. In your opinion, why is the quartz movement so inferior to the automatic movement, as it needs much more attention to work, while the mechaquarts only needs to change the battery? I know that, in watches from expensive and renowned brands, this should and does make all the difference, but this doesn't make much sense to me in these watches under 500 dollars, since you just need to change the machinery, in case there is a problem in the future, because They are relatively cheap on watches like this. I wanted to better understand this prejudice against mechaquartz watches due to automatic ones.
Number one I think are craftsmanship and tradition. There is history behind automatic watches. They are way more complex than quartz, the have more parts, and require more maintenance. Also the perceived value plays a big role. Even though automatic watches are less accurate, but they are valued more exactly because of this reason (Getting close to +0 sec a day sounds exciting!)

Could it be possible that San Martin, Steeldive, and Addiesdive are all made in the same factory?
What I believe is... Some of the models these 3 make are very similar. They may even have identical cases, but that's it. The hands quality (color, finish, lume), bezels, inserts are different. From the first look it's hard to notice, but they are different. So basically if the main parts - case and the movement are the same, then you pay a huge difference in $ for very small differences AND the brand name. Marketing is really powerfull stuff, we should remember it

My experience was just opposite...I had Addies with poorly installed hands, they were not flat, but like drunk :D On the otherhand, my Steeldives had worse accuracy out of factory.
@LookieChannel Yeah, I noticed that steeldive watches are poorly regulated. Even new NH35 movements I order from Ali are regulated much better

I paid 170 euros for my steeldive when it was just released, I thought it was a superdeal at the time since the Halios Puck was 750+ euros hahahaha
The price is always higher when they release it .. I just ordered golden 1953 for the review. And I'm pretty sure I will see this watch 30$ cheaper soon :(

Personally theyre virtually the same other than steeldives lume is more applied length wise on min hands other than that a big NO for the steeldive addiesdive wins hands down for me
