Hi Pete can you create your loop on GarageBand save as file then import it to change pitch I’m pretty new to all this and I’ve used the 727 and 707 kits but the pitch is standard and and I want to slightly transpose it ??
Straight to the point! Got my answer in 35 seconds, boom!

For higher quality (time consuming) you will set the BPM to the same as the sample, and then splice it up all the way and then change the BPM to what you want it to be and GarageBand automatically moves the splices to their right places in the new BPM.

I have a question for ya. I record on my iPhone. When I record a track the wave length on the track is almost invisible. Sometimes the waves so low I’m not sure it recorded till I play it back. Thanks for your help.
Sounds like your input volume is a little low. Maybe turn it up on the input side.

I've imported an MP3 file and it doesn't show transposition when you tap the setting. Is there any way I could transpose audio files (eg. MP3) ??

just tried this out but for some reason my newly pitched loop lost sound between apps (AudioStretch to Garageband). first time it automatically saved as an m4a which I thought might be the issue, then I set it to save as a wav file, it did, but still no sound. any tips would be so appreciated!

If you put the sample into the garageband sampler you can alter the pitch.
Sort of. There is a pitch adjustment control in the sampler. Or you ma edit it using something like AudioStretch. ruclips.net/video/hMzDgdxh27M/видео.html

This app comes in handy but i swear i have issues with the quality reduction on the audio after using it. Not sure why it happens.
AudioStretch? Yes, especially if you’re increasing the length as it needs to add in additional samples. Any algorithm that changes the speed or pitch will impact the quality.

Should work exactly the same if you have the latest version of iOS and GarageBand.
