My wife's pc needed a mobo upgrade, so I surprised her with a new case, too. Got her the pink model of these diypc cases and programmed all the fans inside to light up pink as well. She loves it, and it works great!
Definitely will have to try using this case for a flip, I usually stick with the Montech X3 Mesh because of all of the fans included and the PCs I usually buy dont have modern motherboards with argb headers so I actually prefer that the Montech X3 Mesh has the included x6 RGB Molex Fans because it's just easier and faster plus I really like the case design and the cable routing options in the back. The only part I dislike about the Montech X3 Mesh is the HDD Cage being inconvenient to mount a hard drive in.
What a terrific combo for a budget build! The Thermalright 3-pack of case fans has been a godsend for budget building. Looking forward to your video on the flip you did using the Sama Neview 4361. For about $10 more than the DIYPC + thermalright fans, it could prove as a nice alternative. Either way, fantastic review! Can't wait for the next video!
It's amazing how people can have different perspectives for the same thing. I bought 1 DIY Q3V2 case, and I didn't like building in it at all. All the screws were overtightened, causing paint to wear off where unneeded standoffs were. The PSU screws were tightened so much they were stripped. I didn't like the bar blocking the view in the front. I tried an Apevia Prism, it's much nicer but $20 more.
Aesthetics are certainly objective. I do prefer the corner piece of the Cube01. Also it’s definitely not the highest quality material, but it doesn’t have to be!
Ayye, another week, another vid, let’s go! Fish tank cases are super clutch. DIYPC still holds the #1 spot in terms of the price. I will say I, like you, prefer the Q1 to the Q3 because of no corner support piece blocking the view but also because with the Q3 (even the newer V2 model) the included fans are garbage and a wasted extra expense. I don’t understand why they refuse to make them PWM. There’s no way that’s drastically more expensive than molex or SATA power connections. I just did a build in an Okinos mATX case and I really liked it and would recommend it. I will say though that it is definitely more expensive than the DIYPC cases and it also doesn’t have room for I take fans on the side wall. So as long as you put lower heat components in there, or add fans directly under the GPU, it will be fine. I just put together a build in it with a 5600XT and a Xeon E5 2640 V4 for $316 using an AliExpress mobo/cpu/ram combo deal for the first time! I’ll send you pics of it when I’m done with the customization
@@Budgetiers It had a Ryzen 5 1600, RTX 2060 SUPER, VETROO 120mm fans, this case, Cooler Master 500w psu, asus rog g15dk mobo, 32 gigs of ddr4, and 2tb ssd, the specs were absolutely insane for what it cost me.
@@Budgetiers I ordered parts for my build today, with this case again, but white this time, same fans but white, a mobo off of ebay, not quite sure which one, a i7-6800k, rx 5700xt, 16 gigs of ddr4, a 1tb ssd, vetroo cpu fan cooler, and a redragon 650w psu, along with white asiahorse extensions, this build costed $490, and i can tell it’ll get $650 for it.

Another banger video!! If I may put in my 2 cents, DIYPC is great. But my favorite fishtank knockoff is the Sama Neview 4361, I know, great name, but it looks great, is full ATX, and is super easy to build in.
@ I think I’m just gonna go with the apevia prism for $80 it comes with 5 fans the Q1 is gonna cost me about $60 after tax and the thermal take fans are gonna cost another $15 and the RGB controller is probably gonna cost me another $7 I think I just go with the prism and it’s next day / 2 day delivery
I have a question regarding this case, would a 140mm case fan fit inside this case aswel as the NZXT Kraken Elite 240 as my CPU cooler? asking since its for personal use not to PC flip :)
@@Budgetiers when I looked today the only ones I found were like $110 lol Of course as I typed this I realized I was typing the wrong thing in search lol
Please help, I have the fan chain plugged into psu, and the reset switch plugged into the fan hub. The problems I’m getting are the pc fans don’t shut off unless I turn off power supply(how do I connect them to motherboard??) and when I go to turn the rgb colors all it does is turn on and off.
What software are you using for RGB? It’s usually either that or something within the BIOS (look up instructions for your specific motherboard). If you’re using the Q3 v2, you can either use the built in controller or plug into the Mobo using the ARGB header that is provided
@@Budgetiers yeah I have the v2. What built in controller? I have the rgb plugged into my motherboard and still nothing. Idk about to return the case at this point.
When I built in that case, I plugged the daisy chained fans into the motherboard fan header and then the hub to SATA power. For ARGB, I plugged into the ARGB header in the motherboard. You can join the discord and send pics there with more questions!
honestly i hate it how it doesn't have the fans and how they discontinue the Q01 which actually had fans. i really like the sama neview since it has fans and a controller

Yeah I’ve never tried the X3 due to the molex fans, but ironically I have used the previous Q1/Q3 with molex fans lol. LOVE Montech cases though

Do you need a argb fan controller for the fans?
Yes, if you want better control and if you want to sync it up with any other fans/CPU fan. A motherboard with ARGB header is best

Is there anything wrong (other than looks) with the motherboard hanging a little over the fans?
