I’d like it to be known that I audibly screamed “Oh my God!” As I was watching this in the middle of the kitchen. My sister looked at me like I was insane.
I think there's much more to all of this... Those "tablets" the statues are holding are shaped just like Cylix's we see throughout the second mission of the campaign. Those statues also have 3 different faces if you pay attention to them, I think they represent the 3 Forerunners who imprisoned The Endless. If you drop to the bottom of the pyramid on "The Conservatory" (where we fight the skimmers for the first time) and walk around each of the 4 sides , it will trigger some "Ancient Whispers" dialog from what seems to be Despondent Pyre, The Grand Edict, Master Builder ( I could be wrong about this one ) and Didacts voices. Red Nomster has a few really good videos about all of this for anyone who's interested.
honestly seeing halo lore videos about infinite is so nice, i dont think halo infinite is a finished game but i still play it and it still has so much potential! Love the vids man
Every time i listen to the halo infinite soundtrack I think about doing that, so yes, I will do more! I already have a few songs I want to do. Also, I have some rubicon ideas and I am currently reading through Halo Oblivion and am taking notes to do an Outcasts theory video. That’ll drop later this month!
Hey, just wanted to say that I’ve always been amazed at the quality of your videos! Loved seeing you piece together locations from Rubicon Protocol in Infinite, and your theory crafting here is excellent!
Settling the old “humans and Forerunners are the same!” vs. “humans and Forerunners are separate!” debate with a solid “Yes” is one of the best things Halo’s done. Makes me wonder what happened to the original species, though. My brief theory was maybe that’s where the Xalanyn come into play, but they seem to resemble Sangheili more than anything (hell, there’s cave paintings of Xalanyn on Sanghelios in Halo 5: Guardians and Chak ‘Lok mentions his people would once have called them “divine”). The likely answer for how humans and Forerunners split is likely Precursors, but I do wonder if perhaps the Endless had something to do with it, especially if they perhaps knew something the other races did not given their connection to Living Time.
After I made this video, I actually started thinking a lot about the split and thought I shouldn’t have so definitively said it was the Precursors. It could have been anything 🤔
@@haloguyy own theory for a while is that the Xalanyn are an off-shoot of the Precursors, but now I wonder if the specifics is that they were a rate of Precursors dedicated to the study and tending of Living Time. Perhaps the Guardians are their constructs, which would add up with the Guardians resembling Abaddon, which itself resembles the Xalanyn. I wonder if the Endless were perhaps the keepers of Living Time. Maybe the Precursor equivalent of a Lifeshaper. Maybe the Gasgira were creations of the Xalanyn. And if they were Lifeshapers, it makes sense they’d be able to split humans and Forerunners. Halo Infinite just keeps giving us more and more lore to theorize about and I freaking love it!
My thoughts and applying occums razor to this with this videos context on the sandtrap text is that the blocky rectangar characters are letters the digital display looking characters are numbers/digits and the long line and dots ones are dna sequences or some sort of other encoding.
@haloguy have you read the Halo: Epitaph? Light spoilers below, but very relevant to this and the mysterious text. Some of Epitaph takes place on a recreation of Epitaph in the domain (showing I know lol). The book describes the holographic text from that map as various texts of the Mantle. That holographic text is the same that is on those large pillars and Sandtrap walls.
Hey have you read the first halo book cryptum? In like the first chapter they talk about the three life workers, a monument buried in sand, they talk about a text only forerunner can read and much more.
@@haloguy I know there reference to the “alien” franchise in the games. A reference to Ripleys cat or something Maybe there’s some overlap there? the species that’s buried In cryptum is a promethian Let me know what you find!
@@haloguy It is currently named as “forbidden”. Iso Leaks uploaded a gameplay on it time ago were you could see those tablets in bronze. And as I say, this map will probably arrive in Season 5.
This isn’t a mystery if you ignore the retcons and events of everything after H3. It’s only the fuck ups that came with 343’s stories that make this confusing LITERALLY because they retconned tons of stuff from the original stories. Go watch “We Were Forerunner” by C3 Sabertooth and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about
Current Halo lore suggests Forerunners and Humans were both the same species, evolved from the same genetic line. At some point, they were split apart and evolved separately. So, humans are both Forerunners, technically speaking, and also their own separate species. But since the Forerunners re-seeded the galaxy after the firing of the Halos, humans are as Guilty Spark says, children of their makers.
sadly 343's retcon destroyed the original point of the trilogy that humans were foreunners and that the covenant were killing their gods. But I believe this new information is 343 trying to gain their credibilty back and trying to link the 2 once again so that original trilogy fans will be happy. So yeah Bungie clearly meant for forunners to be human and 343 is trying to save face now we have the truth.
This deep lore is why halo is my favorite series, this is a labor of love you’ve got going, and we’re here for it

With this specific bit of lore, they’ve been bringing it back since Infinite at the least
