Sir, i recently encountered a interesting case of a middle aged female presented with differential edema (left wrist swelling and right foot ) non pitting, no pain , no features of cellulitis/dvt, duration 4- 5 years .
All routine investigations including thyroid profile, usg doppler scan are wnl.
Now how should I proceed???
Please guide sir….
Should i go for MR lymph angiogram sir?
Or wt and watch?
So long lymphedema will definitely cause skin changes. If skin changes not there then it’s unlikely
No skin changes sir…
Wt should be my next step sir?
Sir what could be the reason of bilateral feet swelling while traveling for 4-5 hours ?
Poor circulation due to sitting longgg hrs. You should get up and stretch out exercise in between
Sir,If venous Doppler results are positive what will be the treatment
If it’s venous insufficiency we shud start Dafflon . If it’s DVT thrombolysis in hospital care , of course you can start immediate oral anticoagulants like xarelto which doesn’t need to test coagulation profile
How do we treat lymphedema, sir?
Treat the cause
Thank you so much sir !!! ❤
