I'm happy to help with bottles any time! I opened my bottle of this yesterday and did my tasting for the review. I had pretty much the exact same reaction as you guys. This is excellent! I love the oak and sweetness. Cheers!
So, I make a Bourbon chocolate chip pecan pie.....you're saying this is the bourbon for Thanksgiving this year? (If I can find a bottle...we sometimes don't see the C-batches until January) Cheers. 🥃😎
I know a lot of people use their disappointing bottles to cook with . Sauces, marinades, etc. But in the fine dining culinary world I once lived in the rule of thumb is always “don’t cook with a wine you wouldn’t drink or a spirit you wouldn’t sip neat” Your food will never be any better than the lowest quality ingredient you used. Bon appetit ! 😎
I was ambivalent on this release at first. I really liked B524 out the gate. This one has opened up and is neck and neck with B. But nothing this year holds a candle to C923 - which is the best ECBP since 2020 IMO.
You didn't like the C923. Was on many top 5 from many whiskey nerds out there. I saw this bottle for the first time in my area and got it but haven't opened it yet waiting to compare it to the C924 Larceny.

Thanks Ben! Glad to know we weren’t way off base. It’s a really good bottle. I was pleasantly surprised! Cheers!!!!
Thank you, Ben, you are awesome! And B stole my words, but I’m happy to hear we received it the same way! Nice! 😊
It's a killer release. For whatever reason, C batches seem to be the best year after year.
100%! Also, not ignoring your email. I’ll respond tonight!
All EC BP’s are good; some better than others. 🥃
@@DaveVogelsang-b8v Definitely! Cheers Dave!!!
Mixed reviews. I'm passing on it this year, but it does sound awesome! Maybe you would've sold me on it if you weren't wearing a Dodgers hat :)
You’ll have to try it when you come over. I’m betting you’ll be grabbing one.
Loved C923, B524 and C924 I have never liked any of the A series
I’m starting to enjoy higher proof bourbon. Which is better EC or Larceny?
I prefer the notes I get in the ECBP. Larceny is good, but it’s been a bit more hit and miss for us.
"Yes".

Yes! It is seriously so rich and sweet, it just oozes holidays!
My mouth and brain just went right to pecan pie. Holy moly it was good!
@ sounds like the perfect bourbon for my recipe🥃😎

This is an excellent philosophy!

You seriously preferred A123 over C923? 😮
I don’t think this reply came through the first time. We did prefer the A. We reviewed them all individually and blinded them and the A won out.
Sounds too hot like the A123 was to me. But you guys love it. So, I’m conflicted.
Gonna have to try it I guess.
Bob, it was GOOD!

If you like sweet, this is your bottle. I do t think any of the 23 batches were bad, but that A just hit for us.
