What an incredible series this is, the sheer work that has gone into it is mind boggling. I can’t pretend I understand crypto currency any more then I did, but it doesn’t stop me being absolutely fascinated by the story. Please do continue these series, it’s vital that (very) ordinary people like me get at least some understanding of these suspected but hidden worlds.

Not your keys not your coins. Also financial privacy is a human right something which the US government seems to have forgotten. Shame on them

I’m wondering how can they get jobs in the US. They don’t have access to the internet. How can they learn programming without looking up info on like stack overflow 🧐

Those are strategic selected North Korean chosen by the gov to learn how to commit crimes and earn money for the regime, and therefore, they do have access to the Internet, learn and grow to become the black hats that they are.

They have already hacked from years ago and had been solely trained. And since then.. outside of north korea. Many companies have been trying badly to secure themselves. So... but you don't always get the amount if work forces it in the depths. Or the right people coming forward etc. Or they're journalists. Lol....

There is almost no value to crypto mixers. Who tf is trying to anonymize their coins before they spend them on Amazon? Do they like just losing a percentage of their funds in the name of anonymity? If they're spending it on Amazon, it's not anonymous. I assume they're cashing it out on an exchange first, in which case the exchange knows your identity so it's once again not anonymous. Also it's technically pseudonymous, not anonymous. I'm surprised the professional crypto tracer didn't phrase it more thoughtfully.

Despite the noise and fear-mongering about threats like North Korean hackers, Bitcoin remains unbreached and continues to grow stronger. When you store your time and energy on the most secure network in the world, you can rest easy, knowing it’s protected by unbreakable cryptography-not just against governments but any adversary.
Nice try with your fear tactics, but your centralized system is like locking a door with a flimsy stick. Bitcoin’s decentralized security is on another level entirely.

Can you give me a basic premise of how a private key of a Crypto exchange wallet could be hacked without insider help?
It seems otherwise impossible to me.

Newton said that there is gravity! Einstein said the gravitational well of time and space! But the cosmic vacuum is inherently suspended! Weightless! The universe has no gravity! How do objects fall? How does an object fall to create a gravitational well?
