Thanks for the protection tip ✌️
Wish i would have seen this when i first got my surron, this is a killer idea!!!!
Nice and cheap haha
Nice video!
this is amazing, hope to fins that kydex somewhere to buy!
Definitely should!
Nice👍🏻
Can ya make for ultra bee bro??fire bro well done 👏 ✔️
Surronshop has one for 50, but this came out well!
Yeah i saw that but with shipping added on top, i just went with DIY. Surronshop guard looks ace though!
Mine is so worn out in this spot! It has 1300ks on it now too!
only issue is all the dirt that will get trapped behind the cover, causing more abrasion
I’ve been running the set up for a year now and as long as you cover up the entire area with double sided tape, it’s been harmless
I use spray on truck bed liner
I just got mine... is the rear wheel supposed to feel almost like it has brake drag? I even took off the brake caliper and identical... I'm unsure if it's just normal with how the mid drive works (only used hub motors) ... Just don;t want to damage anything..
That's the regen slowing the rear wheel. it charges going down hill but barely haha. Look up how to turn off Surron regen and there are many videos. I have mine on, since it helps me in the steep section.
@@ridefarm5528 The bike isn't even on, it's just resting on the plate with the back tire off the ground. Back tire does not move freely at all
@@CmdrTigerKing yep that's regen
Thats normal wear for any dirtbike. Not a big deal at all. Just get a wrap kit. Rewarp it when it gets ripped up.
But still thats a good idea
the scuff at the swing arm is beyond normal dirtbike wear, other areas, a thick wrap would do the job
@@ridefarm5528 it might be, but i disagree though.
However the idea is still amazing and it gave me a idea 💡 for making/building some flarings for the battery area 😀 maybe do some air scoop vents even 😉
The throttle side won’t fit a bicycle grip...it’s bigger so gotta go with motorcycle grips in 7/8 size ...it will come with one 7/8 and one 1in 🤙🏽
i bought a sam hill grip and used it for two surrons. just for one side
After removing it I found a lot of dirt traped between the kydex and the frame, ruined the frame ...
sorry to hear that. I just removed mine because it wore off so much that there is now a hole in the kydex where the boot rubs. My frame was fine since majority of the area was covered with double sided tape.
What thickness kydex did you use?
The listing says its 1/16th inch thick
I broke my rock shox vivid in a similar way. The problem is in the progression link. It presses on the spring of the rear shock. The diameter of the shock vivid spring is larger than the diameter of the standard spring. It is necessary to change the link of the progression
Good to know that I'm not the only victim. I've seen another rider somewhere on the internet with stock shock snapped as well.
@@ridefarm5528 The link progression to 2020 is different. It allows you to install vivid shock. From 2020 other links
@@Umkay2k you mean the link design changed for the 2021 model? Mine is a 2020 model
@@ridefarm5528 Yes, the link design has changed since 2020
Wonder, can I do the same with thin ABS?
Not sure about that
4 surrons ?
나도할래!!!!
