- How to modify your surron for the cheapest price when you're on a budget!
I think this is probably the best method I've found for modifying a surron cheaply - you can get fox 40's, upgraded brakes, etc. for the cheapest possible price. sur rons are expensive, so why spend more money on the build / mods than you need to?

That’s smart, I’ve seen some surron kids doing the mtb method for 40s but in the long run they’ll give out earlier since they’re not built for a 120lb bike, I recommend the fastace forks, 600$ and part availability is great.
Oh sick! that’s partially why it’s so important to not spend full price on new ones haha - more money to rebuild them later! And that Fastace being made for the surron is definitely a game changer!

honestly for 1000 bucks what you got from that guy is an amazing deal.
here in germany a good (worth to have) fully on its own used is at least 800 bucks.

I'm thinking of building it from scratch like from the frame up not buying a surron and upgrading it but just buying the bare frame and building it fully upgraded in the end it should be cheaper than most of the builds

Thanks! They're Emoto Bros 14mm spacers and I'm running two of them (they come in a pack of 2 for like $45 I think)

I've got a stealth bomber 84v 37Ah & with fox air shockers.
Bought everything separate.
All together for everything full e-bike = £380
The only thing I can't get cheap or pre-owned.
Is the cooling radiator
hubsink & Statorade ferrofluid for Hub motors
Which is £130.
So after I buy them
Altogether will have cost me £510.

How did you make some of the parts white?
Nice vid but for me the coil 40s are just perfect and I am a heavy rider. I run mine with a green spring and 3 spacers. Also the forks in your video are around 550 bucks used. So buying a used dh bike is still the cheapest way to upgrade your surron and I just did the same thing like a month ago. Nice that you are keeping those code breakes. Remy Morton (Pro athlete) had them on his freeride bike which he uses for Riding huge jumps.
If the coil 40s work for you that’s sick! There are some awesome deals out there. Local to me, I couldn’t find any sub-$1k float 40s unfortunately, even non-kashima. I think it super depends on your market, but pinkbike is another great option for some good deals.
And the code’s have been great, awesome power. Semi-retro MTB stuff is so cool on surrons!
I am from germany and used kashima float 40 are selled around 700€ so like 754$

lower woodland! The DJ/BMX jumps are pretty sacred though, surrons would definitely mess them up. We’re working on some surron-specific jump lines in the forest tho, it’s a sick area all around!

Hey Logan I’m in WA Seattle as well what are the surron laws? Does the surron count as a class 3 e-bike?
i don’t think surrons meet any current e-bike classifications in WA. It’s maybe closest to class 2 because it’s throttle operated, but with more watts and foot pegs haha

Can anyone compare a surron to a electric mountain bike ?
Surrons are closer to light dirt bikes in terms of power & riding experience, but the mountain bike size makes them much more versatile than gas dirt bikes imho. True E-mtb’s to me are more about helping the rider pedal and climb trails rather than zipping around like you do on a surron. Both are sick.

yep! I'm 90% sure all fox 40's are straight 1 1/8", don't think they ever came tapered (even the new ones)

😂😂😂😂😂😂 i will sy just buy a dirt bike cheaper faster comes with decent suspension. After spending 7 k n still have to upgrade suspension its ripoff
dirt bikes are sick but way different from Surrons - totally different benefits and drawbacks to both. Surrons are overpriced but they’re nowhere close to $7k stock. If you build a surron this way it’s like $5k total, which is a ton of money but well worth it to me!
