O-Ring Chain and all I do is wipe clean with a little ATF on a rag. ATF has detergents that break down schmutz and remove from chain. Quick dry wipe removes excess ATF and leaves a thin film of corrosion resistance on the metal. Easy and cheap. Works for on and offroad applications using oring chain. Don't use a brush, which is more likely to damage orings and cause problems in your oring chain. Agressive cleaning and lubing has more potential to cause problems than solutions
Deisel in a spay bottle for cleaning, followed by wd40. Most economical for me and seems to work great. I like em pretty dry and shiny. Went from expensive can chain cleaners to kerosene to deisel and I won't go back. Just my 2 cents... another tip don't leave one of your wheel spacers laying on the floor during tire change with a teething puppy running around cuz you'll never find the damn thing and you'll be stuck at home commenting on RUclips videos on your only God Damn day off this week...instead of riding....
Just run an o-ring chain and never lube it. I can get over 200 hours of riding on a chain before it shows any signs of wear. I do live in the dry desert where rust isn’t an issue.
