This was awesome! I have the book my daughter is wildly excited to go on a treasure hunt and it is worth her looking back in life and saying my daddy took me out of school for a couple of days and we went on a treasure hunt. Kitties put your claws away she is top of her class and helps other students with their work when she finishes so I promise she will be perfectly ok. To the interviewers have you started your hunt and are you on any of the social media sites? Are you partnering with anyone? hope to run into many people on the hunt.
Is this full armchair.. fully solvable from home? BOTG just to recover? Or are there clues that can only be solved BOTG . Since they are NOT buried. How likely is it a random hiker will stumble across it? How weatherproof are the chests? As we saw with the secret Cleveland casque was not waterproof and full of silt/dirt . Is that a possibility with these chests . Last he mentioned National Parks more then once.. Are National Parks a possibility when it comes to treasure sites? Leaving or taking ANYTHING in or from a National Park can get legally sticky quick.. especially when something of value is involved... @MW any ideas or information on those questions?
So, here’s a guy no one has really heard of-a children’s author with modest book sales and a mysterious background involving an undisclosed career site he won’t reveal. Suddenly, he’s offering to give away over $2 million. He insists he’s not interested in recouping his investment, yet he’s pricing his book at a steep $45, about double the average price. Whether it’s clever marketing or something else, I can’t help but feel skeptical. It would be all too convenient if these treasures are either never found or simply go unreported. Frankly, it seems like the only person benefiting from this “hunt” will be Jon Collins Black himself, raking in millions from book sales and securing a place in history as “The Long Lost Treasure of Jon Collins Black.” As for me? I’m not buying it. When things seem too good to be true, they almost always are. Something here just doesn’t add up. During his interview, he seemed visibly uncomfortable, stumbling over his words and even blushing when discussing his sudden fortune.
@ wasn’t my goal. I seriously just don’t buy it! I think this is a genius marketing tactic. It took people 10 years to find the Fenn treasure. Would be easy to fake a treasure hunt and just say no one has found them yet, or no one has reported them found.

concerns would be , if up to 10 years, hidden in metal boxes means rusted if open to the elements and harder to spot. Even in 1 year, grass, vines and weeds may grow over to cover up so that could make it harder. Small saplings turn into trees in a few seasons so they could be potentially engulfed by nature. I read they are also puzzle boxes and instructions on how to open them are with them so that begs the question on how the instructions are left. If on paper sealed in plastic, that could be unreadable, if engraved in metal, rusted over and unreadable, etc. so I hope they are able to be opened as intended and not rusted up and have to be broken open due to inoperable state. Best of luck.
Jon is legit and his hunt for those who participate will provide new adventures, excitement, the possibility to gain some wealth and bragging rights if you so choose. I hope Jon chooses Jenny Sixer to be an outlet for communications.
I’m curious as to how you know he’s legit? Unlike Forest Finn who’s accomplishments have been noted, globally in art, archaeology and aeronautics. I can’t seem to find anything on Jon outside of his own recollections.
@@SealBeMe it comes down to education as with all things in life. We know he was a searcher for f's treasure, he purchased the olive jar/autobiography from the auction, he is married with kids, lives in the LA region, has written a children's book, has been contacted and in contact with documentary makers and other Chase searchers, published a treasure hunt book, on and on and on. At some point you have to take the information you harvest and decide if it yields truth or fiction. It was the same with f. When you first learned about f, you didn't have much, but as you studied up on him, it became apparent that the dude was telling the truth and had the means to do a hunt of great value. @historyforweirdos Oh. The treasure hunt book won't be released until October 21, 2024. So that's past Durin's Day on October 3, 2024. Loved Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug the Dragon. Wish the Arkenstone was in the largest treasure chest.🐉 "It is significant because it's the only day of the year when the light will fall to reveal a keyhole of a secret door. Durin's Day is also their only chance to enter the Lonely Mountain."
Wrong forest fins treasure was found, & the state it was in sued the guy that found it because of their treasure finding laws, then the federal government wanted their half so they also sued the guy, the guy walked away with less then 1/4 of the total value he found... do the research you will find it's all true.
@TheresTreasureInside So, where did YOU think Forrest Fenn's treasure chest was hidden? You said your Sister, who will be searching, likes to hike? Already reading into where you might have hidden the main treasure chest with the Forrest Fenn Olive Jar in it. 🤔
@@Aaronius_Maximus @RudyGreene Yeah, No. It was hidden by Forrest Fenn in 2010 and found and retrieved by Jack Stuef, diagonally across the Madison River from Fenn Rock at Nine Mile Hole inside Yellowstone National Park, on June 5-6, 2020. Exactly! He mentions Bitcoin, what about "Satoshi's Treasure" which was a series of clues revealed each week/month and together they led to Bitcoin amounts and then at the end there would be this huge $1M prize. People kept asking for proof and some supposedly won some things along the way then he just stopped posting as it drew closer and closer to having to reveal the final few months of clues and he bailed and shut it all down.
