As a flight attendant who wears a smart watch and uses Bluetooth headphones, this saves me so many steps over using the airplane mode button! Still can't believe that T-Mobile hides this button in their updates.
Thanks a million, mate! You're a lifesaver. I do know my way around computers, but even someone without much PC knowledge could easily do this with the help of your simple directions. I had no issues whatsoever. Thank you again! It was very, very helpful. Keep it up!
100% worked! I did have to make sure my phone software was current and updated. I have a Galaxy S21+ 5g Phantom Violet. For some reason my phone didn't have mobile data quick access, but my friend's did. Thank you SO Much!!!
Thank you so much! I just replaced my S9+ with a refurbished S9+, and was shocked to see the Mobile Data icon gone! Had to go with your option #2, but you explained it so well; no problem at all. Thank you for saving me endless frustration!
Yooh bro im shouting you out lyk all the way from Zimbabwe🇿🇼, this thing lit, like it works bro, we call you "wakaipa ahuite" here meaning you awesome🔥, done dusted this thing night time it was a struggle bt thru yo guide...lyk thank you bro we came thru
First Thing...Thank you very much ITJungles! :D >Method 1: Samsung Note 9: Fail Samsung Android USB Driver: developer.samsung.com/mobile/android-usb-driver.html Android SDK Platform Tools: developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools >Method 2: Worked perfectly! The commands (since they are not in the description) -> settings get secure sysui_qs_tiles -> settings put secure sysui_qs_tiles "AllOfMyTiles,MobileData"
Thank YOU! i was literally going to replace my spare s8+ mboard as its different version and this button was there, but your great tutorial fixed it and saved lots of time. Thank YOU!!!!!
Excellent Video. I dont normally comment on videos but this one is legit. I've purchased a Note 10 about a week ago and it is annoying switching between Wifi and Data going into the settings. The second method actually worked. Despite my doubts with all that cmd stuff. Thanks man. much love from JAMAICA!!!!!
I struggled a bit bc I cant copy paste text in the command prompt but I found a tutorial on how to enable it...Finally!! Your tutorial worked on Samsung Note 8. Thanks a lot!!!
for anyone whos plat* doesnt work: open file explorer, find platform tools in the explorer. at the top where it says this pc, desktop> platform tools, right click on platform tools and press "copy address" and then in command prompt type: cd (paste address)
Thanks for the explanation, worked like a breeze! T-Mobile version of s10e I just got doesn't want you to control mobile data too easily for some reason ($ I guess?)...
In the command prompt, once you know that the device is connected using the command "adb devices" then just follow what kpballa1009 suggested: "in the command prompt, after doing 'adb shell' (and 'enter') then just paste settings put secure sysui_qs_tiles '$(settings get secure sysui_qs_tiles),MobileData,Hotspot' " The commands have changed since the video was made!
That button is obsolete. All you need to do is turn on airplane mode and wifi. This will turn off mobile data. No need for the mobile data button anymore.
I had issues with unauthorised devices but simply I unplugged the device, then revoke usb in debug menu, in prompt i entered "adb kill-server" then "adb start-server" waited for second until daemon started, then I plugged device and it asked me for permition once for trusted device and waited for couple seconds and it asked me about my fingerprint data, and it worked. A bumpy ride but if you have device secured with fingerprint thats the only way.
Thank you for your efforts, very informative. Question: I'm very careful, however, if for some reason the data copied to the notepad was deleted (not saved in the phone), would I have to do a factory reset? How would I recover from a mistake like that? Thanks so much.
Where's the link to the software? I had I known this bug before buying a Samsung, I would have bought a different brand. Only 'method 2' works for me. Also, any Samsung device update removes the DATA icon completely, and you have to go through all the trouble again to fix it. The same SDK software I have used several times before is now being quarantined by my antivirus. I disabled my antivirus to use it.
As a flight attendant who wears a smart watch and uses Bluetooth headphones, this saves me so many steps over using the airplane mode button! Still can't believe that T-Mobile hides this button in their updates.
Thank you. This was driving me crazy. I don't have unlimited data, so turning it off when I'm not using it is very helpful!
Works perfectly on my S20Fe (ATT sucks). Thanks alot man, you deserve a medal!
Yo your actually a life saver, I recently got a Samsung s21 and realised I didn't have the mobile data button this video helped alot :)
