Thanks! Yes, I'll shoot almost everything at 24 fps. If I need slow-motion I will use 60 fps and sometimes 120 fps, but they are always edited on a 24 fps timeline :)
My main tip would be to try get the image as close to your vision in camera. I have really started focusing in on my lighting and have found that to make the biggest difference! In terms of grading, I usually add a little bit of film grain, pull my midtowns down a touch, and never raise my shadows. Thanks!
Thanks! I have recently made the switch to the Sigma 18-35mm, however almost all of the shots in this video were with the 12-35mm Lumix. A few odd shots were also taken with the 25mm 1.7 Panasonic as well!
Thanks! No Ninja V or V-log. I have V-log but still am not quite good enough grading it haha. All of this video was either shot with Natural or Cine-D. Most shots I also used the 12-35mm Lumix however there were a few that I used the 25mm 1.7 :)
@@OliverKingsleyMedia Nice! Impressive results. I have the GH5 with Ninja V and lately I've been learning V-log - it's super tempremental and risky for run and gun, but if you take your time to check exposure you can get some really beautiful results. I've heard V-log with internal 8bit is pretty much uneusable. Getting the Ninja V changed a lot for me - so muuch easier to get focus and more creative shots when you can see with a screen, increased colour grading freedom and longer and faster recording with a 1tb SSD card. Downsides are a much heavier rig, more cables and parts to manage, relearning techniques such as smooth glides - I was nailing my pans with just the body, but with the Ninja V stacked it changes the mechanics completely - so I've been getting more wobbly footage, but improving with practise, so I'm sure it won't be an issue in the long run. Great work and all of the best for 2021
I've heard quite good things about the g7 but I haven't had any personal experience with it. I do recommend the Gh4, which I used for years as my A-cam and currently use as my B-cam now!
great visuals. Hey man, why do you have both sigma and lumix lens? Does the sigma not give you what lumix gives? I saw other folks having both lens too. Just curious
Thanks man! Good question! I ended up getting the sigma because of that lower f stop value and being able to get more light in if I needed. Additionally, i really love having the manual focus ring, which really is a massive difference to the lumix focus by wire system. However I ended up keeping the 12-35mm for 2 big reasons. 1.) the super low weight and small size, which is great if I want to travel around with my camera, especially if I do not want it to take up much space. 2.) The fact that the lumix is weather sealed is fantastic to have incase I need to film somewhere where it might be dirty or wet!
Nice work bro. Proof the GH5 still is a workhorse when used properly. 🤙🏽
Thanks mate! It is a beast of a camera!
Great video! I shot with the GH5 and to me the GH5 is one of the best cameras out right now...
Thanks mate! I totally agree with you! For the price especially, it truly is an absolute beast of a camera!
Nice showreel, really is inspirational to see work on GH5. I've had mine for 3 years and it's been so reliable.
Thank you, thats great to hear! Even in 2021 the GH5 is still a beast for run and gun filmmaking!
Nicee! Love the shot of the eye bro!
Thank you! Appreciate it :)
Damn. That is stomping reel. Amazing.
Thanks Bruce!
Great Reek Oliver, I really liked it!
Thanks!
Nice work, i film also with the gh5 and this camera is a lowbudget beast
Thanks! Yeah I totally agree. For the price, there is really nothing that can beat it as an all-rounder camera!
Absolutelly awesome Showreel 👏 perfect 👌
Thanks man!
Amazing shots
Thanks!
Dude, this is so beyond!🔥
Thanks mate!
GREEAT FOOTAGE .. DID YOU SHOOT IN CINEMA 24 FPS
Thanks! Yes, I'll shoot almost everything at 24 fps. If I need slow-motion I will use 60 fps and sometimes 120 fps, but they are always edited on a 24 fps timeline :)
Great job! Any tips on your grading workflow? Noise reduction, Curves, etc?

Phenomenal work! what lenses do you use?

Killer, dude! As someone who just got a GH5 this is very inspiring to watch 🤩 The lighting in every shot is just 👨🍳👌
Thanks mate! Welcome to the Gh5 world! Have fun with it, it is such a fantastic all-round camera!📸
Great Job dude
Thank you! Appreciate it :)
Nice! What profile did you use ? v-log?
Actually Cinelike-D! I think if I can remember correctly, contrast, sharpness, and saturation may have been set to -5
Great! What equipment? Ninja V V-log and what lenses?

@@taunado Thanks for the tips! Definitely will be having more of a play around with v-log in the weeks to come!
Hy, whats your favorite used color profile ?
At the moment, my go to profile has been Natural with everything at 0 except sharpness (which is at around -3)
Lovely work, sir! Whereabouts are you based?
Thanks mate! I'm currently based in North London!
@@OliverKingsleyMedia Ace! I'm over in Stoke Newington. Would love to pick your brains about the Gh5 at some point.
@@jackstevensbass Yeah man, for sure. Just send me an instagram DM
Nice 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you!
Shit there are some fucking amazing shots there..... Shit I gonna make also a video with my S5 believe me. Fucking amazing
Do you recommend g85/80 or g7 or a6000 as beginner filmmaker?
I've heard quite good things about the g7 but I haven't had any personal experience with it. I do recommend the Gh4, which I used for years as my A-cam and currently use as my B-cam now!
