    Super basic but when you’re in a slump, these techniques get the juices flowing again. When I first started, dotted rhythms were my jam. Thank you for reminding me of them!

    I heard a good tip for basslines is to use 80% chord notes and 20% not chord notes (but still keep it in the scale)

    Another tip to add flavor to your bassline is if you have a bass that repeats 1 note for a while, try making some of the notes move up or down an octave
